Chapter 169 I'm Going to Kill You Today
"Brother Yun, we've spotted Target Number One. He's running towards the southwest corner," Night Hawk quickly reported. "There's no one else around."
"But seeing how decisively and quickly he ran, he must be looking for a place to hide."
Night Hawk was certain, since all of Wenlai's firepower personnel were in front of the villa, yet he deliberately ran towards the back. This was clearly an attempt to evade capture.
The man listened, straightened his sniper rifle, looked through the infrared scope toward the southwest corner, and then fixed his gaze on the figure.
"The rest of you continue searching for target number two. Nar, this one's yours."
"Nar received."
As soon as the radio broadcast ended, Sawa, piloting the helicopter, changed course without the man needing to speak, heading towards the southwest corner.
Wenlai runs like a child of her age, her steps are light and swift.
It's obvious that he's well-trained; even though he's older, he hasn't slacked off much and still has a solid foundation.
He ran to the basement door in one breath and hurriedly raised his hand to enter the password. But as soon as his finger touched the unlock screen, the dark muzzle of a gun was pressed directly against the back of his head.
Wenlai was suddenly stunned. She had run so fast and stealthily, yet she was still spotted so quickly.
"Mr. Wenlai, why are you running so fast?"
"Be careful that these old bones don't break again from running around."
A cold voice came from behind me.
With the cold muzzle of a gun pressed against her, Wenlai's hand holding the gun trembled uncontrollably, but she still tried her best to remain calm.
With a gun already pressed against his head, panicking wouldn't seem to help much.
Stay calm, look for a way out; there's at least one way out.
He never expected that Fu Yungui would come knocking on his door so quickly, as if he already knew that he was the one who did what happened last night.
But there wasn't a single trace left last night. How did he manage to pinpoint his target so quickly?
The roar of helicopters above grew closer, and Sawa descended. The man, clutching his gun, pulled himself down the rope and slid down.
Wenlai slowly turned around and looked up. What came into view was Nar, and behind Nar, Fu Yungui stood there lazily with a gun in one hand.
"Pasong, is there some misunderstanding between us?"
Wenlai took the initiative to speak, and in order to get closer to him, she deliberately called him by his Thai name, just like Piwong.
Although he and his father were rivals when they were young, they never interfered with each other and operated in their own territories.
You could even say they have a pretty good relationship; they've even worked together before.
But by the time it came to Fu Yungui's generation, the young people didn't follow any rules at all. They would snatch any business opportunity and left no room for others to survive.
This kid has clearly offended quite a few people over the years, yet no one dares to rebel against him.
Because everyone knows very well that no one has the ability to stand up to this man.
His armed forces have been developing better and better over the years.
When he gets down to business, he doesn't even respect his own father.
"A misunderstanding?" the man asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course, otherwise why would your missile have flown over my villa?" Wenlai feigned ignorance. "I thought it was some kind of terrorist attack."
The man sneered, raising the gun with one hand and placing it on the man's shoulder. "What, you're allowed to let your bullets fly around, but you're not allowed to let my missiles fly around without regard for their own eyes?"
Upon hearing this, Wenlai suddenly smiled, her expression showing no change or fear. "Pasong, doing things and speaking are both based on evidence."
"I was sleeping soundly at home, when did the bullets start flying around, and where did they go?"
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about."
The man couldn't help but laugh. It seemed that this utterly lame excuse had probably been prepared long ago and was just waiting for him to use it.
"Who knows, how come the bullets were so blind and flew into my base?"
“Oh, right,” the man pulled the gun away, tossed it to Nal, and walked closer with his arms crossed. “Then my missiles are probably the same as your bullets. Today I just couldn’t help wanting to blow up a few people.”
"What a coincidence, you were so lucky to run into him."
"..." Wenlai was stunned, not knowing how to refute it. The words she had just spoken were taken back by him in the next second.
"Pasong, isn't that a bit unreasonable of you to say that?"
"What I mean is, I want you to produce evidence that the bullets that flew to your base came from me."
Wenlai was still unwilling to give up, but he probably had a pretty good idea that he didn't have any substantial evidence.
It's nothing but speculation; they're just making trouble now.
"What you're saying shouldn't have anything to do with the reason you came to see me today."
Fu Yungui chuckled and took a few steps back. "What do you mean by all this? What does it have to do with me killing you today?"
He said it casually and nonchalantly, as if he were joking.
No sooner had the man finished speaking than a bullet shot out of the barrel, flying towards Wen Lai at a speed completely invisible to the naked eye, hitting him squarely between the eyebrows.
The gun in Wenlai's hand fell to the ground with a thud. He looked incredulous, then fell heavily backward, seemingly dying with his eyes wide open.
Nar immediately put down the gun, held it in his hand, and looked at the man behind him.
Then a voice came through the communication headset.
"Brother Yun, the entire villa has been searched, but target number two has not been found."
"The garden behind and the surrounding woods have also been searched, but target number two was not found."
The voices of Nighthawk and Anu appeared one after the other.
"Retreat," the man's casual voice rang out.
They immediately responded in unison, "Received."
Two helicopters hovered overhead. Fu Yungui grabbed the falling rope with one hand, and Nar followed closely behind.
The moment the rope was pulled, Sawa immediately turned around and drove towards the base. As he passed over the villa area, two incendiary bombs fell straight down from above.
In an instant, sparks and a deafening roar erupted simultaneously, and the raging fire quickly engulfed the entire villa area, erasing all traces of its existence.
Then the helicopter drove off without looking back.
It took about ten minutes.
When the two helicopters landed on the east side of the training ground, Momo had no idea that the man had already returned.
At this moment, she is in another house, taking care of Anai with Sang Ma.
The doctor has already treated Anai. He was hiding in the grass and didn't have time to dodge. A hail of bullets grazed his heart and entered his middle ribs. It was a stroke of luck amidst misfortune.
If the angle had been slightly different, or if he had moved even slightly, the bullet would have pierced his heart and killed him instantly.
The base has its own operating room. The doctors have removed all the bullets from him, and he is currently receiving intravenous fluids for supportive treatment while they wait for him to wake up.
