Chapter 284 Understanding
With so many people suddenly flooding into the living room, it no longer felt empty.
After Momo went inside, she saw the man on the sofa, leaning there lazily.
His coat was tossed aside, and the cuffs of his white shirt were casually rolled up, revealing the strong muscle lines on his arms, which looked extremely handsome.
The man frowned as he glanced at the unfamiliar faces in front of him, then at Sawa, who was standing at the door and hadn't come in yet.
As soon as Sawa raised his head, the cold gaze fell upon him, and his spine stiffened immediately. Then he heard that lazy yet playful voice.
"What, are you now also doing a side job in the sex trade, forcing people to buy and sell sex?"
Upon hearing this, Sawa was taken aback for a moment, then realized what was happening and immediately turned his sharp gaze toward the three men beside him.
They must have complained to Brother Yun about him on their way into the house.
Otherwise, Brother Yun wouldn't have suddenly said something like that.
After all, he wasn't the type to meddle in other people's business.
Anu and Nighthawk didn't even bother to glance at him, standing there straight, while only Nar stared at him coldly.
His gaze was filled with undisguised killing intent.
Sawa felt that if it weren't for the fact that everyone was in the room and Yun Ge was there, Nar would have pointed that dark gun barrel at him directly.
It has to be said that Nar is quite similar to Yun in some ways. His ruthlessness is probably one of the reasons why Yun values him so much.
Upon realizing this, Sawa paused for a moment, looked away, and then smiled slightly.
"Brother Yun, I can explain all this. I'm doing this for their own good. They're all getting on in years and they don't even touch a woman. If this continues, their health will deteriorate."
"If your body is damaged, how can you go on a mission?"
"If we can't go on missions, won't that delay things?"
These few sentences were spoken logically and with evidence, and even sounded damnably understanding.
The people behind him listened, their disdain growing even stronger.
"Your health is failing?" Nar sneered. "Shouldn't you be the one worrying?"
"Look at your dark circles. If you went out at night, even a ghost would be scared out of its wits if it saw you."
"They even have the leisure to care about others."
Upon hearing this, Sawa flashed backward and immediately stood next to Nar.
"Nana, what you're saying is hurtful."
Nar was disgusted by his address, and the next second, the dark muzzle of a gun was pressed against the head of the person next to him.
"Did you drink too much in broad daylight?"
"Who are you calling Nana?"
Sawa immediately backed down, staggering back a little, and gave an embarrassed laugh, "He was just joking with you, why are you taking it so seriously?"
“A joke?” Nar forced a smile. “I’m not one to joke around.”
Sawa frowned, his face contorted with grief, and immediately looked at the man on the sofa. "Brother Yun, look at this blatant murderous intent!"
"You even complained to Brother Yun?" Night Hawk couldn't stand it anymore and walked over, laughing at his amusing expression. "So, the villain is the one who complains first?"
"Do you think Brother Yun will pay any attention to you?"
The man on the sofa leaned back lazily, annoyed by the constant complaints.
Looking up at the huge crowd standing there, I felt even more overwhelmed.
"Momo..." the man called softly.
"Huh?" The girl who had been hiding in the back watching the commotion heard the sound and immediately popped out from behind.
The man turned his head and saw the kitten tilting its head and looking at him. Its round, bright eyes melted his heart.
He smiled, his mood instantly improving, and then raised his chin, "Take them inside first."
"Oh, okay." Momo immediately understood what he meant, and then led the girls to the tea room in the back, asking Aunt Pu to get them some afternoon tea to pass the time.
Aunt Pu left after delivering the items, but Momo stayed behind to keep them company.
The girls looked quite young, their pretty faces full of innocence, and their eyes revealed a timid wariness, especially when they saw strangers.
When Momo saw them, it was as if she saw her former self.
They are even more pitiful than you were back then.
Without realizing it, I felt pity.
She didn't know why they had come to this point, but she could guess pretty much that most of them were forced into this line of work at such a young age.
Momo didn't ask any more questions. She wanted to discuss it with Sawa later and see if they could let them go.
When the time comes, she can pay him back any money he spends, as long as he's willing.
Thinking this, the girl couldn't help but smile at them, "Don't be afraid, they won't hurt you."
As she spoke, she glanced outside, and the girls followed her gaze and looked outside as well.
"I'll have them send you back, and you don't need to pay back the money."
Upon hearing this, the girls immediately looked away, exchanged glances, hesitated for a moment, and then shook their heads.
They have been familiar with human nature since childhood, so they know that the older sister in front of them has no bad intentions and that she is saying and doing these things for their own good.
However, no one could change their fate.
"No need, sister. Since Mr. Sawa has already paid, we should stay here obediently. Even if we go back, we will be assigned to other people anyway, so it's all the same."
“You don’t need to feel guilty.” They saw the sympathy and pity in Momo’s eyes.
Momo was stunned when she heard them say these things, especially by their calm faces. The girl's heart was violently shaken.
That calm indifference to one's fate can sometimes be more painful and despairing than heart-wrenching agony.
Momo felt a slight stinging sensation in her nose, and then she didn't say anything more.
Anything said at this moment seems pale and powerless.
"I see."
"Then you can rest here for a while." After saying this, Momo forced a smile, and the people opposite her nodded and watched her leave.
Momo returned to the living room, but the men were no longer there.
When Aunt Pu saw her coming, she immediately went over and said, "Miss Momo, Young Master Pason and the others have gone out. They said they'll be back soon and have dinner with you."
“Okay, Aunt Pu.” Momo replied politely. “Please take good care of the girls in the tea room. I’m going upstairs.”
“Okay,” Aunt Pu replied with a smile, standing there respectfully.
Momo went up to find her mother. She had made a promise with her before leaving home today that they would go to the temple to see her father in the evening.
We want to share her wedding with him so that he can rest in peace in heaven.
It's still early, so they can go and come back sooner.
