Chapter 99 You'll believe me if I say so?

Chapter 99 You'll believe me if I say so?

Fu Yungui changed his clothes and came downstairs. The sky outside was not completely dark yet; it was a mixture of dim yellow and darkness that enveloped the entire manor.

He searched the area below but couldn't find the woman. Just as he was about to call her to ask where she was, he turned around and saw the note stuck on the refrigerator.

He tore it off and glanced at it.

Don't be angry. I didn't tell you because I didn't want to disturb your sleep. I'm going to go find Qiqi and I'll be right back. She just called me; she was crying a lot, and I'm a little worried.

The handwriting was still familiar, just like her, obediently falling onto the paper.

After reading it, the man casually tossed it aside and took out some wine from the refrigerator.

He knew she wouldn't stay home quietly, but Fu Qiyu was really useless. Song Cha was just a little injured, she didn't lose any limbs, at most she'd be in pain for a few days, why was she crying like this?

No wonder she's Song Cha's daughter; they're both the same—lacking any backbone.

Fu Yungui took a sip, walked to the sofa, sat down, and sent a message to Momo.

[Fu Yungui] Come back in half an hour.

Momo was sitting in the living room of the main building of Palm Bay Grand View Manor No. 1. Uncle Songcha had returned from the hospital. He was not seriously injured anywhere on his body, but he was not completely unharmed either.

Momo was startled when she first saw it.

His whole body was swollen, especially his face, which was covered in bruises.

When he stared at her, she felt inexplicably scared; his face didn't seem human at all.

Fu Yungui is simply too ruthless; how could he be so cruel as to harm even his own family?

Grandpa Piweng was in Chiang Mai and hadn't returned yet after receiving Qiqi's call. Her husband was also away on a business trip.

So Qiqi was all alone at home. When she saw her father come back like this, she felt like she had lost her pillar of support and cried her heart out.

"Is it Fu Yungui?" Fu Qiyu wondered, lying in Momo's arms. He was the only one who came to the house today, and he was looking for his father.

"Did he hit his father?"

Momo remained silent, not daring to tell her the truth.

“I don’t know.” She paused, then asked, “Did you ask Uncle Songcha what happened?”

Although she asked the question, she probably already had some answers in her mind. At least Uncle Songcha probably hadn't told her yet, otherwise she wouldn't have been guessing.

Qi Qi shook her head. "Dad wouldn't say. He just told me not to worry about it."

"How could I possibly ignore it?"

Momo was taken aback. Just as she had guessed, something must have happened between Uncle Song and Fu Yungui.

"Then let's not ask for now. Maybe he has some unspeakable difficulties. Let Uncle rest assured and we can talk about other things when Grandpa Pi comes back. Don't worry too much."

Fu Qiyu nodded.

Momo saw the message Fu Yungui sent her, but given the current situation, how could she leave, especially since Grandpa Pi Weng hadn't returned yet?

So she stopped caring. At worst, she'd make him angry and then suffer the consequences when she got back.

Anyway, she couldn't just abandon Qiqi like that.

However, she didn't dare to directly reply that he wasn't going back, so the best approach was to pretend she hadn't seen it.

Whether it's because the phone ran out of battery or because you accidentally turned it off, just find an excuse to make do.

Although these words won't fool that man, you never know if he'll say them when he's in a good mood.

It was two hours later when Pion returned. After saying a few words to Shanla, he went upstairs to Songcha's room with a serious face.

Fu Qiyu wanted to follow, but Shanla stopped her, saying, "Miss, let them talk alone."

“Okay.” Although Fu Qiyu didn’t understand what they wanted to talk about, she still obeyed and stopped at the top of the stairs on the second floor.

Just as Shanla was about to leave, she bumped into the uninvited guest, Fu Yungui.

When Momo saw him coming over, she couldn't help but feel nervous.

The man walked with his hands in his pockets as if he were strolling down the street, his black shirt almost half-open at the chest.

"Young Master Pason, it's just in time for you. Your father is looking for you."

"What do you want?" the man replied casually, then sat down on the sofa next to Momo, picked up a piece of fruit from the table, and put it in his mouth.

"Something's wrong," Shanla said.

"What, Song Cha is no longer able to work?"

"..." Shanla remained patient, "Don't do that. Don't talk to your father like that later, or he'll get angry again."

"That depends on how he talks to me," the man replied.

Shanla sighed and went upstairs.

Momo and he were left alone in the living room for a while.

Before the man's gaze even fell upon her, Momo felt like she was sitting on pins and needles.

She didn't dare to look up at him even once, as if she were waiting for him to be slowly tortured to death, she was very nervous.

But this man was acting very strangely today; she waited for a long time, but no one around her reacted.

Momo had no choice but to secretly look up, but as soon as she shifted her gaze slightly, the man caught her.

It was as if he had been waiting for me here all along.

“Um…” She subconsciously wanted to explain to him why she wasn’t going back.

"We'll talk about it when we get home," the man said.

"Oh..." Momo sighed and sat down obediently without saying a word.

A short while later, Pi Weng and Shan La came downstairs together, leaving Fu Qiyu upstairs to take care of Song Cha.

"Miss Momo, please excuse me for a moment," Pi Weng said politely to her as always.

Momo immediately stood up. "Okay."

Then Shanla called Aunt Pu to take her to the tea room to rest.

The living room was stiflingly quiet. Pion's face was darker than the sky outside, while the other man sat there smoking, looking completely unconcerned.

"Pasong, don't you want to know how Songcha got injured?"

The man leaned back on the sofa, a cigarette between his fingers, and shook his head.

“He didn’t say anything, but I know it was you who did it.” Pion suppressed his anger.

"Then why did you ask?" the man replied casually.

"What exactly do you want?" Pion asked him, suppressing his anger.

"You should ask him that, shouldn't you?" the man said with a dark face. "You should ask him, just how far are you going to go to court death?"

“What did Song Cha do to you?” Pi Weng asked him.

"What did I do to you?" Fu Yungui sneered. "Would you believe me if I told you?"

“Pasong, just tell me, and I’ll believe you.” Pion wanted to see what his reasons were.

"He stole my business!" the man said in a very unfriendly tone. "And he even came with Buddy to mess with me."

"Do you have evidence?" Pion asked him.

Fu Yungui smiled, then shook his head helplessly.

He took a deep drag of his cigarette, exhaled the smoke, and then stared at the fingers that were holding the cigarette.

Even fingers have meaningful distinctions, like the ring finger and the ring finger, let alone people.

It's perfectly normal to have different levels of closeness or distance.
