Chapter 63 A Kiss

Chapter 63 A Kiss

A familiar voice startled Zhou Ruiyuan.

It had been a long time since anyone had called him that.

Zhou Ruiyuan quickly quickened his pace and entered the crowd.

The man, holding a long sword, followed closely behind him. "Your Highness!"

Zhou Ruiyuan walked faster and faster, his whole body covered in cold sweat. With someone chasing closely behind him, he tiptoed and used his light footwork to quickly dodge through the crowd.

Despite the many people coming and going on the street, the man was very agile and kept chasing after her.

Helpless, Zhou Ruiyuan stepped onto the roof of the house, leaped onto the wall, and ran towards the alley in the distance.

The man behind him moved with remarkable agility, leaping up with his sword, and was about to catch up with him.

"Stop!" the man shouted.

Zhou Ruiyuan quickly jumped off the roof and ran towards the crisscrossing alleys to the side.

On the other side.

Aunt Zhou and Du Wanchun waited on the street for a long time, but Zhou Ruiyuan did not return. They gradually became anxious.

"Mother, did my husband really go to the rouge shop?" Du Wanchun stood on tiptoe and looked around.

Aunt Zhou followed him around with a worried expression, saying, "Yes, I saw him go in with my own eyes, how could he disappear as soon as he turned around?"

A hint of worry gradually appeared between Du Wanchun's brows. "Mother, let's split up and look for it. If we find it, we'll wait at the town gate."

Aunt Zhou nodded.

Not long after the two parted, Aunt Zhou bumped into Zhou Zhao, who was running over breathlessly.

Zhou Zhao said to Aunt Zhou, "Mother, I went to my second brother's shop, but I didn't see my eldest brother."

Aunt Zhou frowned. "Could something have happened to Ruiyuan?!"

Zhou Zhao's expression gradually turned grim. "Mother, do you think it might be someone from the capital looking for us?"

Aunt Zhou quickly shook her head, "Impossible, it's been three years already, they should have thought we were dead long ago."

Zhou Zhao said solemnly, "Mother, they are so ruthless. They would never believe we are dead unless they saw our remains."

Aunt Zhou was startled and her face turned pale. She grabbed Zhou Zhao's hand and said, "No, we have to find him quickly! We must find your older brother!"

Zhou Zhao nodded emphatically, then quickly turned and rushed into the crowd to continue his search.

On the other side of the street, Du Wanchun vaguely saw Zhou Ruiyuan's figure in a small alley.

She hurried after it, but when she reached the end, she found there was nothing there.

Du Wanchun turned around dejectedly. Just then, her arm was suddenly grabbed and she was pulled into the gap between the two houses next to her.

Du Wanchun was shocked. She looked up and saw Zhou Ruiyuan.

“Husband…” she was overjoyed and was about to ask when Zhou Ruiyuan pressed his index finger to her lips.

Du Wanchun immediately understood his meaning and quickly shut her mouth and stopped talking.

Zhou Ruiyuan gradually embraced her, and the two pressed their bodies together in the narrow gap.

Du Wanchun could clearly feel the waves of heat emanating from him, and the sound of their heartbeats.

She gradually felt a little short of breath, and when she looked up slightly, she saw his prominent Adam's apple and his well-defined jawline.

Without realizing it, she found her face burning hot again, and her breathing becoming more rapid.

Just then, a person slowly walked out of the alley outside the gap.

The man, dressed in black, holding a long sword, walked through the alleyway searching with his sharp eyes half-closed.

Du Wanchun saw the person through the crack and became nervous, her body gradually stiffening.

Zhou Ruiyuan noticed her unusual behavior, reached out through the gap and grasped her fingertips, holding her small hand tightly in his palm.

His palms were warm, which gradually relaxed Du Wanchun's tense heart.

After wandering around the alley for a while, the man stopped a short distance away, his gaze settling on Du Wanchun and Zhou Ruiyuan.

Du Wanchun clearly noticed that Zhou Ruiyuan's heart was racing and that a fine layer of cold sweat had appeared on his forehead.

The man slowly walked towards them.

In the quiet alley, the sound of footsteps grew closer and closer.

Seeing this, Du Wanchun didn't have time to think and immediately stood on tiptoe to kiss Zhou Ruiyuan's lips.

Zhou Ruiyuan was startled and before he could react, Du Wanchun had already raised her hand to cover his face.

The man in the alley was about to reach them.

Zhou Ruiyuan quickly came to his senses, turned his back to the man, cupped Du Wanchun's face, which was flushed red, and kissed her deeply.
