Chali gave him a dark look upon hearing this: "Oh? If that's the case, why didn't you hand the imperial edict over to the guards after you found it?"
Upon hearing this, Shen Xiuyi flinched and stammered, unable to answer.
Cha Li had seen many people like this; they just wanted to use the imperial edict to ask him for rewards. He opened the edict, glanced at it, and his expression immediately darkened.
Then he suddenly looked at Shen Xiuyi, narrowed his eyes and asked, "Have you already read this edict?"
Shen Xiuyi shook her head in realization, denying, "I've never seen it."
Chali smiled noncommittally. If he hadn't seen it, how would he know it was a decree of succession?
He looked at Shen Xiuyi with an inscrutable expression, took out his token from his waist, beckoned to him, and said in an approving tone, "You did a good job, come and collect your reward."
Shen Xiuyi looked up at him, her face revealing uncontrollable excitement. She bent over and quickly walked two steps to Cha Li's side.
Chali threw the token at his feet and said coldly, "Take your reward and get lost."
Shen Xiuyi pretended to bend down to pick it up, and Charlie had been waiting for this opportunity. He silently drew his sword from his waist and stabbed at Shen Xiuyi.
But Shen Xiuyi reacted even faster. He had already anticipated that Chali would kill him to silence him. Bending down to pick up the item was just a feint. He quickly circled behind Chali with an extremely agile posture and slit his neck with a single stroke.
With his throat severed, blood spurted from Chali's neck. He clutched his neck in terror, making a "hoarse" sound as he tried desperately to turn his head to see Shen Xiuyi's face clearly.
Shen Xiuyi turned to face him and shoved him down next to the Tibetan king's corpse.
