Chapter Forty: Who is the child's biological mother?
Upon arriving at the backyard, Sang Ruo shook off his hand: "Don't touch me."
Her tone was calm, but her voice was full of indifference.
Bo Jinzhou raised his eyelids, looked at the woman in front of him, and asked in a deep voice, "Why is Song Linlin living in Youfeng Tower?"
Upon hearing this, Sang Ruo's lips curled into a mocking smile.
It seems that everything is under Bo Jinyan's control, and Bo Jinzhou has indeed gone to investigate Song Linlin.
It seems they haven't uncovered the specifics, only knowing the child's basic information and that the child lives in Youfenglou.
Since things had come to this point, Sang Ruo had no choice but to go with the flow and continue the conversation as it unfolded: "I know the child's mother, and my uncle is so busy with work, how could he have time to take care of her every day?"
"You know the child's biological mother?" Bo Jinzhou's eyes flashed with surprise: "Then who is the child's biological mother?"
"What's it to you? Why are you asking so many questions?"
"You're my wife now, but you're helping my brother-in-law take care of his child?" The man's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Don't you think what you're doing is inappropriate? If word gets out, aren't you afraid of causing a huge mess?"
“Even your uncle isn’t afraid of making a mess, so what are you afraid of?” Sang Ruo said indifferently. “Besides, I already gave you the agreement, but you still haven’t signed it. What are you doing?”
"What am I doing? Don't you have any idea about Grandpa's current condition? Do you think it's because I don't want to sign?"
"You can consider the method I suggested last time. Let's get the divorce certificate first..."
Before Sang Ruo could finish speaking, the man opposite her interrupted her: "I don't have that much energy to play along with your act."
"So you're planning to keep this up with me?"
"We can only consider divorce when you have cured Grandpa's illness and his condition is completely stable. Otherwise, don't even think about it."
Bo Jinzhou's stance was exceptionally firm.
Sang Ruo was furious.
She glared at the man in front of her, her brows furrowed with a chilling coldness.
"And one more thing." Bo Jinzhou was about to leave, but suddenly turned back and continued, "You must not let Grandpa know that you are looking after your uncle's daughter, otherwise I will not be able to explain it to him."
Sang Ruo naturally knew that this matter could not be known to Old Master Bo.
The whole thing about falsely claiming to be an illegitimate child is absurd enough.
If they find out she's keeping the child with her, it's simply incomprehensible.
“Go back and give the child back to your uncle. You don’t take care of your own child, but you go and take care of someone else’s child.”
"Isn't your son being eagerly sought after?" Sang Ruo glanced at him, her tone nonchalant. "It's not my place to worry about him, is it?"
Bo Jinzhou frowned slightly: "Speak properly, don't be sarcastic."
“I still need to go to Grandpa’s follow-up appointment, I don’t have time to waste with you.”
As Sang Ruo walked forward, a man's voice came from behind her: "I heard you opened some kind of clinic outside. Where did you get the money? Could it be the three million I gave you?"
Upon hearing the sound, Sang Ruo suddenly stopped in her tracks.
She turned around and said calmly, "Let me correct you. That guardian lion is my property. Giving it away without my permission is your fault. You were the one who paid for it, so it can only be considered that you bought it."
"Looking back now, I was really crazy to spend three million to buy a pair of lions."
The man's upturned eyes revealed his disrespect and contempt for her.
Sang Ruo suddenly sneered.
With her skill level, she is absolutely worth this price in the industry, and may even be more.
In short, the price will only be more, not less; asking for three million is already a bargain for him.
"You can go and find out if you can actually buy this finished guardian lion for three million."
Without waiting for the man's reply, Sang Ruo strode away quickly.
"So you're saying you're giving me a discount? Where do you get such confidence?"
A man's voice came from behind her, but Sang Ruo didn't intend to pay him any more attention and strode away.
After Sang Ruo arrived at Old Master Bo's room, she checked on his recovery.
"Grandpa, are you feeling any better today?"
Sang Ruo took his pulse and looked up at the old man's kind face.
Grandpa Bo nodded gently: "Much better. He can already go down and walk around, and his breathing is much smoother."
"Here's what we'll do! I'll prescribe some medicine for you later. Take it for a few days, and combine it with acupuncture treatment. Your condition might recover even faster."
"Okay, whatever you say."
While Sang Ruo was packing her things, Old Master Bo asked curiously, "Xiao Kang called me today and said there's a little girl with you. Is that true?"
Sang Ruo's hand, which was tidying up the medical kit, suddenly paused slightly.
Despite all the precautions, they couldn't keep their son away.
She had almost forgotten that Bo Yukang had a good relationship with Old Master Bo and would often tell him things on her own initiative.
Just as Sang Ruo was about to speak, a familiar voice beat her to it: "That's my uncle's child, and Sang Ruo is taking care of him now."
Upon hearing this, Sang Ruo raised her eyes in disbelief and looked towards the doorway.
Bo Jinzhou was leaning against the door at that moment, having arrived at the entrance at some point, looking at them indifferently.
But Sang Ruo still caught a glimpse of the provocation in his eyes.
I just said not to tell Grandpa about this!
I didn't expect him to say it out loud as soon as he turned around!
Old Master Bo raised his eyes in shock, his voice filled with intense astonishment: "Bo Jinzhou, what nonsense are you spouting? Ayan doesn't even have a wife, how could he possibly have a daughter? And how could it be Xiaoruo taking care of her?"
“That’s his illegitimate daughter. I didn’t want to tell you this, but I just feel it’s inappropriate for Sang Ruo to live with her uncle’s child, so I’d like you to help me get justice and see what you think…”
"Bojinzhou!"
Sang Ruo let out a low growl, which startled the man at the door.
His voice stopped abruptly, and he looked up at Sang Ruo indifferently, remaining silent.
"Xiao Ruo, what exactly happened? Why are you helping your uncle take care of his daughter?"
Bo Jinyan never went over the answer to this question with her. In front of Bo Jinzhou, he said that he was too busy and that he could probably manage.
But such a far-fetched reason was certainly not something that Old Master Bo would believe.
When Grandpa Bo saw that Sang Ruo didn't respond, he quickly reached out and picked up his phone from the bedside table.
"Xiao Ruo, can you find A Yan's phone number for me? I'll call him right away and ask him what's going on!"
"grandfather……"
Sang Ruo was at a loss for what to do.
Old Master Bo's face darkened: "Xiao Ruo, are you not even willing to listen to your grandfather anymore?"
