Chapter 13 He stumbled upon it

Chapter 13 He stumbled upon it

Sang Ruo tried to pull her hand back, but due to the vast difference in strength between men and women, she was unable to break free.

She could only let him drag her towards the living room.

Bo Jinzhou tossed her onto the sofa and then sat down opposite her.

He took out a teacup and poured himself a cup of tea.

"You seem to owe me a reason for divorce." He spoke without even lifting his eyelids: "What exactly is the reason?"

"It's just a simple parting of ways." A cold smile curled at the corner of Sang Ruo's lips. "What reason do you need?"

After pouring the tea, Bo Jinzhou placed the teacup heavily on the table and looked up at her indifferent eyes.

"Bang--"

The teapot made a dull thud as it collided with the high-end marble coffee table.

The sound disturbed the entire space.

He chuckled softly, rubbing the rim of his cup, his voice cold: "Sang Ruo, do you think anyone would want you after you leave the Bo family? You've been to jail and have a criminal record, who would take you in? Staying in the Bo family and raising your children is your only way out."

Sang Ruo gave a cold smile.

Even if it's incredibly difficult, she will never go back to hell.

She didn't plan to go out and look for a job because she wanted to create her own business.

"You've said so much, just because you're afraid Grandpa will kick you and Xiaokang out?" Sang Ruo got up from the sofa: "Don't worry, I'll call Grandpa and make things clear. This matter will absolutely not involve you and Miss Liang. I'll take full responsibility for everything."

As soon as she finished speaking, she prepared to leave.

Did I let you leave?

Bo Jinzhou, his voice deep and resonant, quickly stood up as well.

Sang Ruo's steps never stopped: "President Bo, please sign as soon as possible."

Her voice had barely faded when the man grabbed her arm from behind.

The next second, his body was airborne again.

Bo Jinzhou threw her back onto the sofa, his long legs straddling her slender waist, his knees on the sofa, and he grabbed her wrist, pinning her firmly against the back of the sofa.

Sang Ruo was instantly unable to move.

The two had their share of tender moments in the past, but it was mostly her who initiated them.

Such a scene is truly rare.

She looked up at him warily: "What are you going to do?"

"You're staying at Qinglan Garden for the next few days. Don't go anywhere else. Don't even think about me signing this document until Grandpa is settled."

The man's voice was deep, and his eyes, as black as amber, seemed to hold the calm before a storm.

“You have no reason to imprison me.” Sang Ruo struggled fiercely, her hands clenched. “Let go.”

Bo Jinzhou seemed not to hear her at all, and continued to hold her tightly.

"Nephew, how dare you bully your ex-wife in broad daylight? Aren't you afraid of disgracing the Bo family?"

At that moment, an extremely deep and magnetic voice suddenly came from the direction of the villa's main entrance.

The two turned their heads at the sound.

When she saw the man enter, Sang Ruo's body suddenly stiffened.

Bo Jinyan?

How did he end up here?

Upon seeing the person who entered, Bo Jinzhou quickly released the woman in front of him and got off her: "Uncle? What brings you here?"

Sang Ruo quickly sat up straight and subconsciously smoothed her slightly messy hair.

"I heard your grandfather was furious yesterday. I'm going back to check on him since I have some free time today. Xiao Kang stayed overnight at the old house last night, and when he saw me come back, he kept asking me to take him back."

Bo Jinyan spoke casually, glancing at the woman on the sofa.

He looked away after only a second of eye contact.

When the Maybach drove into the yard, Bo Jinyan heard the noise and had his assistant Zhang Ye take the child to the back garden.

"And what about a moderately prosperous life?"

"With you all making such a scene, do you think I'd dare bring the child in?"

Bo Jinyan put his hands in his pockets and sat down opposite Sang Ruo.

Sang Ruo's gaze fell on the man opposite her, whose powerful aura instantly enveloped everything around him.

Bo Jinzhou poured him a cup of tea, his tone somewhat impatient: "Uncle, I'm just talking to her about the divorce. You know Grandpa was very angry last night, so I need to calm him down first."

Bo Jinyan glanced at the teacup but didn't intend to pick it up and drink.

His tone was slightly cold: "Since you've decided to divorce, why care about what others think?"

Bo Jinzhou paused for a moment, then hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.

"I will call Grandpa later and explain things clearly. It is indeed my decision to divorce you unilaterally. Please don't make things difficult for me, Mr. Bo."

Sang Ruo quickly got up from the sofa and walked outside without looking back.

Bo Jinyan's arrival provided a good opportunity to escape.

If we don't leave now, we'll probably have to spend the night at Qinglan Garden.

As Bo Jinzhou watched her departing figure, the hand holding the teacup suddenly clenched for a moment.

Just as she was about to speak, she met Bo Jinyan's cold gaze.

He finally looked away: "Since you're here, why don't you stay for dinner tonight?"

"Let's do it another day! I have something to do."

After the man got up, he followed him out.

Why are you here?

As Sang Ruo reached the door, Bo Yukang appeared before her without her noticing.

His voice was filled with doubt, and Sang Ruo just wanted to laugh.

His tone made it sound as if she needed to report her arrival.

"I'm leaving now."

Without waiting for the child to respond, she strode away.

Bo Yukang watched his mother walk away, and his heart sank inexplicably.

I really wanted to call out to her.

But what if I try to persuade my mother to stay?

He didn't want to see her at home.

And Aunt Xin Xin is coming to pick him up from school tomorrow! If Mom is here, Aunt Xin Xin won't be able to take him to school.

He ultimately remained silent, watching helplessly as his mother left.

After leaving the courtyard, Sang Ruo prepared to take a taxi home.

When Bo Jinyan's Maybach drove out of the yard, Sang Ruo had already gotten into the car.

He watched through the windshield as she got into the taxi and drove away.

When Zhang Ye, in the driver's seat, saw the man's gloomy face through the rearview mirror, he finally asked, "Mr. Bo, do you still have something to say to Miss Sang? Should I overtake you?"

"Need not."

The man looked away and turned his gaze to the tablet in his hand.

A moment later, as if remembering something, he looked up at Zhang Ye in the driver's seat: "Is there still no news about that jade carver named Huai Sang today?"

"Yes," Zhang Ye replied softly, "There's still no news today."

Bo Jinyan's voice was deep: "When was the last time she appeared three years ago?"
