Chapter Twelve: Going to the Orphanage to Find Someone
When Sang Ruo saw this message, her upper eyelashes fluttered uncontrollably twice.
She quickly returned the call.
After the call connected, Chen Anni's voice came through: "I finally got in touch with you..."
"Is there any news about Song Linlin?" she asked anxiously.
"We have found some basic information about her. It is said that the child was sent to an orphanage three years ago. The most likely places for her to be found are the Aiyu Orphanage, which is closest to her home, and the Xishan Orphanage. However, I have to attend a meeting and will not be available until the day after tomorrow."
Sang Ruo's voice was firm: "Then I'll go ask tomorrow."
She will definitely find her.
After hanging up the phone, she placed it on the bedside table and pressed it down on the black postcard.
She merely glanced at it before pulling back the covers and lying down again.
I originally planned to go to the orphanage in the morning to inquire about the situation, but after getting up I found that I was still very tired, so I chose to set off in the afternoon.
The two orphanages are located quite far apart.
After asking the first place, the person in charge said they didn't have the child, so she had to go to the second place.
Xishan Orphanage.
Upon arriving at the scene, she met the director of the orphanage.
“This child did stay with us for a year before, but was later taken away by her biological father, and we lost contact with her afterwards. Her file was also deleted.”
Upon hearing this, Sang Ruo's heart sank.
Song Yuanshan, a death row inmate, was her savior. It is said that the child's father was a gambler, and Song Linlin had been mistreated by her father for a long time.
Before Song Yuanshan went to prison, she sent her child to an orphanage so that the child could have a better life and to avoid the child's father.
Unexpectedly, Song Linlin was picked up.
After leaving Xishan Orphanage, Sang Ruo sent a message to Chen Anni, asking her to find a way to locate Song Linlin's biological father's residence.
Just after I sent the message, a deep voice suddenly came from behind me.
Didn't I tell you to go home?
Upon hearing the voice, Sang Ruo quickly turned around.
When he saw the person approaching from behind, his brow furrowed slightly.
It was Bojin Prefecture.
Her gaze held a hint of wariness: "How did you know I was here?"
"I told you to go home today, why didn't you go home? What are you doing in this shabby place like an orphanage?"
Bo Jinzhou quickly stepped forward, grabbed her wrist, and crushed her blue veins with his large hand, pulling her across the road.
There was a very familiar Cullinan parked there.
It's his car.
Sang Ruo's voice was deep: "Bo Jinzhou, were you following me?"
She abruptly shook him off, looked up at the man in front of her, and a chilling glint appeared in her eyes.
"If you had gone back obediently, I wouldn't have had people watching you."
Bo Jinzhou's eyes were cold as he held her captive again.
"Why did you go to such lengths to get me back to Qinglan Garden?" Sang Ruo flung his hand away, frowned deeply, and felt a chill in her heart. "We're already getting a divorce."
"Don't misunderstand." The man suddenly moved closer to her, chuckled, and glanced indifferently at her beautiful features: "If Grandpa hadn't spoken up, I wouldn't have wanted to see you either."
So be it.
So it was Grandpa who was stopping us from behind?
Sang Ruo felt a surge of irony.
No wonder he called her in the middle of the night yesterday, insisting that she had to come back no matter what.
Before Sang Ruo could respond, the man bent down slightly and hoisted her onto his shoulder.
Suddenly feeling weightless, Sang Ruo instinctively grabbed the back of the man's suit jacket.
After regaining her balance, she patted his back and said, "Bo Jinzhou, put me down!"
Bo Jinzhou ignored her completely and continued walking across the street with his men.
After the car door opened, he quickly shoved her into the back seat.
He looked up and instructed his assistant, Bai Yu, in front of him, "Drive."
"Yes, Mr. Bo."
Just before the car was about to start, Sang Ruo planned to open the car door and get out.
Her wrist was once again firmly gripped by the man beside her.
For some reason, she just didn't want to go back to Qinglan Garden, which was her and Bo Jinzhou's marital home and the place where the three of them had lived for many years.
It was there that Liang Yuxin destroyed everything.
Therefore, I instinctively feel a resistance to that place, and if I could, I would never want to set foot there again in my entire life.
"Let go."
Sang Ruo raised her eyes and looked at him coldly.
"Sit still and I won't do anything to you. As long as you keep Grandpa calm, everything will be fine."
Bo Jinzhou tightened his grip on her wrist.
She winced slightly in pain.
Knowing his purpose and intentions, the annoyance in my heart continued to rise.
Sang Ruo grabbed the man's hand, opened her mouth without hesitation, and bit his wrist.
She used almost all her strength to vent all the unhappiness and resentment in her heart.
The man groaned in pain, then frowned.
After releasing her hand, he glanced down at his wrist, where a deep tooth mark was left.
A slight pain throbbed in his wrist, and Bo Jinzhou's chest heaved with anger.
In his memory, Sang Ruo had always been gentle and kind, and had never said a harsh word to him, let alone bit him.
He puffed out his cheeks, his face cold as he wiped his wrists with a handkerchief: "Are you a dog?"
"I really am a dog." Sang Ruo curled her lips into a cold smile: "Is President Bo just forgetful, or is his mind all on other women?"
Bo Jinzhou was so angry he laughed.
Sang Ruo ignored him, turned around and sat down in her seat, looking out the window.
The car had already started moving; she couldn't escape even if she wanted to.
On the way back to Qinglan Garden, my thoughts were in turmoil.
I've walked this road countless times, and each time I return, I feel a longing for home.
She lived in that house, waiting for her son to come home from school and for her husband to come home every day. She put aside all her hobbies and career to cook for them, but in the end, she was sent to prison by their own hands.
Now that time has passed and I've returned, all that's left in my heart is desolation.
"get off."
The man's deep voice reached Sang Ruo's ears.
She didn't even glance at him before getting off the bus.
Looking up at the villa and courtyard that I hadn't seen for three years, my heart sank to the bottom.
Just then, the man's large hand gripped her wrist again, dragging her into the house: "Come in, let's talk face to face."
