Chapter 451 Departure
This may remain an unsolved mystery.
Everyone present racked their brains to figure out what the other party was going to do.
In the end, everyone could only let it go, and the only impact left by the incident was that Middenheim had an extra strange story.
The rumored "that person", the uncrowned king of Middenheim, is believed to be involved in this matter, but no one knows the specific truth. " Damn the driver! Damn halfling!" Sorian finally returned from the city center. He looked very bad, and even the armor he never took off was taken off and placed on the table.
This was much more powerful than the dagger that the gangster had slammed on the table before, and all the tourists in the tavern trembled.
His long beard was twisted into a line, and his equally thick eyebrows were wrinkled into a mountain.
Lynch didn't see any external injuries on him. If there were any, it seemed that Sorian's fist had just been used with great force.
"What happened? Old man, I guess you have encountered the unique customs of the empire." Eugen quickly got rid of the depression caused by the sudden change and joked to the yelling dwarf.
"I clearly paid for the ride! Blackmail! Scam! They are bullshit!"
It sounds like this guy also encountered underground activities. The difference is that when Eugen was blocked by the gangsters, he would communicate in a friendly manner, but the dwarf probably just used his fists to reason.
The important difference is that humans are not as united as dwarves. If this man with long beard really suffered serious damage here, I am afraid that a large number of dwarves will rush into the alley tomorrow and send all the gangster thugs to see their god.
Dwarf jokes are not easy to make.
Lynch couldn't stand the cramped interior of the inn, so he bent down and lowered his head, walked out the door, and returned to the wide street.
At least in the open space he wouldn't hit the ceiling if he raised his head slightly.
The noise in the tavern did not stop until the auspicious moon was setting in the west. The only difference was that the noise became weaker as it got closer to the early morning. The boss had been replaced twice, and the odd-boys who served tea and water also took turns.
The dwarf spent the whole night drinking at the table because he accidentally drank too much while complaining to Eugen, and his "drinking buddies" only urged him to drink, but he himself didn't drink much.
Lynch didn't want to give him a chance to have a hangover, but the lizardman also didn't want to go to the Forest of Athel Loren, so the dwarf successfully slept until noon.
If the next destination is Lustria, the dwarf will most likely be on an ocean-going ship when he wakes up.
The dwarf slowly woke up only when the oracle packed his bag and the archmage put on his chain mail and high helmet and walked down the stairs.
The innkeeper asked these residents to leave with a fawning smile, as if they were sending away the plague.
This was his reaction when he couldn't see Lynch. If there was a lizard man added, last night would probably have been even more chaotic.
Eugen looked towards the city center with reluctance. He had not had time to visit the White Wolf Temple standing on the top of the hill.
The only thing that could comfort him was the extra money in his pocket, which was enough for him to invest in some industries in Aldorf and make long-term plans.
Mortals always seemed to like communicating, and they were still chattering until they were about to leave Middenheim's territory, perhaps to drive away fear, after all, they were about to leave the realm of civilization.
But from what Lynch had seen, the flow of people south of Middenheim was so large that there was no need to worry about abnormalities.
"Can't you feel the weight? Why do you wear armor all the time?"
"I'm used to it. The greenskins won't give you a chance to penetrate their armor."
The other member who was asked the question was still reading a book. Lynch found that he had changed to "Monster Atlas", which was better than the third-rate magazine before.
It was not until Eugen shifted his gaze that Teclis slowly knocked on the Asur mage's light armor.
Lynch knew that Isemara silver was harder than steel, lighter than silk, and had excellent ductility.
Obviously, Eugen asked a stupid question. Only dwarves rely on brute force to travel around in heavy armor. If the runes engraved on the rune armor are functional runes, the force that the wearer can withstand may be even lower.
The young creature's stupid talk continued. Lynch felt bored, so he left the carriage and patrolled the surrounding area.
A white wolf that was larger than an ordinary beast met the lizard man unexpectedly, but no conflict occurred because Lynch discovered the extraordinary power behind the white wolf.
The long howls of wolves lingered in the dense forest for a long time. The humans on the road subconsciously took precautions, but after a long time they still did not see the wolves attack.
The white wolf chased a crow in front of Lynch, as if it was taking the opportunity to convey some message. Lynch only reacted when it brutally bit off the crow in mid-air and chewed it into crumbs.
A not-so-obvious interference of the gods in the mortal world, commonly known as "divine revelation."
For beings other than the Chaos Gods, delivering messages across boundaries is indeed a troublesome matter. They have to be careful at all times about certain gods tampering with their words and blurring or changing them.
As a cold-blooded species who half-understands astrology and prophecy, the lizard man could see that this was a reminder for him to be careful of Tzeentch.
Perhaps the interpretation should not be so mild. It would be more like encouraging Lynch to go up and fight the God of Change directly when he encounters trouble.
Lynch only thought that this was a blindly optimistic self-confidence unique to warriors.
If Tzeentch wanted to do something, even if he stood next to the Lizardman, no one would be able to see through him.
The "Spirit of Change" under Tzeentch's control alone is enough to deceive the three Chaos Gods. For him, deceiving other beings under the Four Gods is not a difficult task.
Most individuals who learn of the existence of "changelings" will become suspicious and eventually wait for the end of the world.
Because of the nature of Tzeentch's "change", it can completely imitate everything including Tzeentch himself.
Why would you be so nervous and question others every day? As long as you relax your goal a little, the "Change Spirit" will eventually get what he wants.
So Lynch believes that the best way is to pretend that it does not exist, and to crush it decisively as soon as the clue is discovered.
The little unexpected encounter did not disrupt the journey. No monsters appeared on the road as Lynch had expected. On the contrary, the forests in the south were quieter than those in the north.
Considering the previous wars, he believed that the large horned beast settlements in the forest had most likely met with disaster. They either migrated or died in the mopping-up operations when the many legions of the empire moved south, or they joined the Undead and were abandoned, ultimately unable to escape death.
Lynch was more concerned about the Archmage of Ulthuan in Altdorf. He had not forgotten what happened in the Shadow Forest before.
The dwarves can bring up old accounts from thousands of years ago, and the elves are still brooding on hatred from thousands of years ago. As a lizardman with a longer lifespan, Lynch, who has self-awareness, will certainly not forget a suspicious elven wizard.
There were two things they needed to do as they passed through Altdorf.
Neither demons nor elven wizards can escape.
