Chapter 360 Xiaoyue has been kidnapped

"Captain?" Zhou Haomin called out as he walked in.

Zhao Bin did not respond.

Zhou Haomin walked over, patted him on the shoulder, and continued calling, "Captain?"

Zhao Bin still did not respond.

Zhou Haomin thought for a moment, then leaned close to his ear and shouted, "Something's wrong, Captain! Something's happened!"

Zhao Bin sprang up from his chair like a spring, looking around nervously and asking, "What happened? What's wrong?"

A moment later, seeing Zhou Haomin standing calmly to the side, he finally realized what was happening and slapped him: "You brat, are you trying to fool me?"

Zhou Haomin winced in pain, scratching his head and saying, "No, something really happened."

"What is it?" Zhao Bin asked, his expression hardening.

Zhou Haomin said with a serious expression, "Junjie just brought back the stolen goods that Liu Feiyue hid in the mountains, but when I compared them with his confession, I found that the amount was not right."

Zhao Bin's expression also turned somewhat strange. He snatched the statement from Zhou Haomin's hand, examined it carefully, and asked, "How much is missing?"

“Four boxes.” Zhou Haomin pointed at the statement paper and said, “They are exactly the four boxes that Liu Feiyue and his men recently dug out of the small Western-style building at No. 6 Tonghua Lane.”

Zhao Bin narrowed his eyes slightly and asked, "Who was the original owner of the small villa at No. 6 Tonghua Lane? Have you found out?"

Zhou Haomin nodded: "His surname is Qin, and his name is Qin Xu."

"Qin Xu?" Zhao Bin found the name familiar and quickly remembered, "Isn't that the name of the former principal of Lanyuan Middle School? He taught us when I was in middle school."

"Where did the old principal move to now?" Zhao Bin frowned and asked.

Zhou Haomin retrieved the investigation records, flipped through them, and let out a strange "Huh?"

"What's wrong?" Zhao Bin asked.

Zhou Haomin looked at Zhao Bin and swallowed hard: "He lives on Dacheng Street now."

"It's not Dacheng Street, is it?" Zhao Bin's heart skipped a beat, and then he thought of something. "Could it be the neighbor next door surnamed Fu who invited the Fu family to dinner that night?"

Zhou Haomin nodded silently.

Zhao Bin slapped his forehead, realizing there was nothing he didn't understand.

"That bastard Gao Mingcheng, he really knows how to cause me trouble." He couldn't help but curse.

"What should we do now, Captain?" Zhou Haomin asked.

Zhao Bin thought for a moment and then instructed Zhou Haomin: "Rewrite the statement and delete everything related to No. 6 Tonghua Lane."

"What if our statements don't match up with Liu Feiyue's?" Zhou Haomin asked worriedly.

“I’ll make him change his mind,” Zhao Bin said, a cold glint in his eyes.

It was late at night when Liu Feiyue, who was sleeping soundly in his cell, was suddenly woken up and taken to the interrogation room.

Zhao Bin placed the rewritten statement in front of Liu Feiyue: "Sign and put your fingerprint on it."

At first, Liu Feiyue was completely confused, but after reading the statement again, he immediately understood. He looked at Zhao Bin with a smile and said, "This statement seems a bit off, Captain Zhao, something is missing."

Zhao Bin crossed his arms, looked down at him, and said coldly, "You're dead this time, you know that? Even if you tell the truth, I can still fool you. But the old man is getting on in years, and I don't want anyone bothering him with trivial matters. If you know what's good for you, I'll have someone aim carefully during the execution and give you a quick death. If you don't, I'll have someone give you a little jerk, seventeen or eighteen jerks. You choose."

Liu Feiyue's face was ashen. After a brief silence, he deftly picked up a pen, signed his name, and pressed his fingerprint on the document: "Is it okay now?"

Zhao Bin nodded with a satisfied smile: "Not bad."

Liu Feiyue didn't want to pay any attention to him; he just wanted to get back to his cell as soon as possible so he wouldn't have to see him or be bothered by him.

Liu Feiyue was caught red-handed, and Xing Zhaozhao was completely relieved. The next day, she went to the other side of the gate to tell Gao Mingcheng about it and find a way to deal with Liu Feiyue. Since Gao Mingcheng suddenly returned from the army, many days had passed, and she had not contacted him. She wondered if he was worried.

After leaving the abandoned cellar, Xing Zhaozhao turned on her phone, intending to call Gao Mingcheng. Unexpectedly, a series of missed call notifications came through, quickly reaching 99+.

Xing Zhaozhao flipped through the list and found that apart from a dozen or so entries from Gao Mingcheng, the rest were all from Gao Hongfei, and all of them were over 100.

Xing Zhaozhao's heart sank as she looked at the scene. Had something happened at home?

Just as she was about to make the call, her phone suddenly rang. It was Gao Hongfei calling again.

Xing Zhaozhao quickly answered: "Hello? Hongfei?"

On the other end of the phone, Gao Hongfei exclaimed in surprise, "It's connected! It's connected! It's finally connected this time!"

"That's great..." Other voices followed. Xing Zhaozhao listened carefully and found that Ying Rongrong, Gao Han, Ling Shuang, Gao Yue, Xia Chen, and the children were almost all there.

"What's wrong, Hongfei?" Xing Zhaozhao asked.

"Mom, why haven't you come over during this time? You haven't even called. Do you know how worried we were?" Gao Hongfei said, his voice filled with grievance and concern.

"So that's why. No wonder you were making so many calls all of a sudden." Xing Zhaozhao breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Your dad came back and brought your father-in-law, mother-in-law, and wife with him. He was just too busy to get away. When I saw you making so many calls, I thought something had happened at home."

My dad's back, and he brought my father-in-law, mother-in-law, and wife with him? What does that mean?

Before Gao Hongfei could react, he heard Xing Zhaozhao say, "I thought something had happened at home," and his expression immediately hardened. He said, "Mom, something did happen at home."

Xing Zhaozhao's heart, which had just settled down, jumped again: "Something really happened at home? What happened? Could it be your dad...?"

“It’s not my dad, it’s Xiaoyue,” Gao Hongfei said in a heavy voice.

Xing Zhaozhao was taken aback: "Xiaoyue? What happened to her?"

"Xiaoyue has been kidnapped by her grandmother. She's demanding 100 million yuan in cash, a helicopter, and specifically wants you to personally deliver the ransom before she'll be released," Gao Hongfei said.

Xing Zhaozhao was stunned. It took her a while to come to her senses before she asked, "Really?"

“Really,” Gao Hongfei said.

The faint sounds of Gao Yue sobbing and Xia Chen comforting her could be heard over the phone.

"Didn't you call the police?" Xing Zhaozhao asked.

"I've submitted it," Gao Hongfei said.

"The police haven't found anyone?" Xing Zhaozhao asked, somewhat incredulous.

"When the police tracked her down, she went to an internet cafe to post online asking how to evade police tracking, and then they couldn't find her anymore," Gao Hongfei said.

Xing Zhaozhao: "..."

Xing Zhaozhao was at a loss for words: "Isn't she almost seventy?"

Gao Hongfei glanced at the embarrassed police officer in front of him and said, "Hmm."

"She's incredibly awesome," Xing Zhaozhao couldn't help but exclaim.
