Ye Mingshi had two bandages wrapped around his head, one horizontal and one vertical, giving his hair an artistic look. If you put a propeller blade on his head, he could probably take off.
He was holding a piece of bread in his hand, chewing it with relish.
This guy was half-dead yesterday, but he's fully recovered today.
“I’m here to see Ah Jin,” the cat said.
Ye Mingshi stepped aside and invited the person in, saying, "Jin Er, he's taking a bath. I'll take you to him."
The cat immediately said, "I'll wait for him to come out."
Ye Mingshi smiled and said, "Jin Er doesn't close the door when he takes a bath. It's a rare opportunity, so why not take a look?"
Cat hesitated a bit, but felt that this would anger Ah Jin.
Ye Mingshi's smile grew even more sly. Cat's feelings for Mu Jin were common knowledge! Her adorable, hesitant expression, wanting to see but too afraid to, was absolutely hilarious.
Why didn't they try to cover it up a little?
But just then, the doorbell rang again.
Ye Mingshi didn't have time to take the cat with her, so she went to open the door.
No sooner had he left than Mu Jin appeared. She was dressed neatly, her hair was completely dry and was now flying around in a fluffy, bouncy motion.
The cat glanced at Mu Jin's head; her fur looked even softer than a meow's.
Oh no, I mean hair...
"Why don't you all care about me? Look at how badly my head is wrapped up!" Ye Mingshi said.
Gu Zeyi and Tan Zheng arrived. After entering, they did nothing but huddle together and stare at the wooden box on the table.
That box was the one they had painstakingly stolen back yesterday; in fact, it was more like a robbery.
"You're so lively and energetic, what's there to worry about? You actually got your head cracked open, how can you even bring up something so embarrassing?" Gu Zeyi relentlessly mocked him.
"How can you blame me? There were quite a few people among that group yesterday who were planning to ambush us! Damn it, we really got tricked this time, it's infuriating!" Ye Mingshi said.
Tan Zheng then looked at Mu Jin and asked, "Have you opened this box?"
Mu Jin didn't say anything; he glanced at the cat.
The other three people also immediately looked at the cat.
The atmosphere was a bit strange. Cat stood there, under the scrutinizing gazes of four pairs of eyes. They were in cahoots; who knew what they were up to or what mischief they were plotting?
The cat seemed a bit outnumbered and outmatched.
But she pouted and said, "Why are you looking at me? I haven't opened this box."
Ye Mingshi chuckled and invited Maomao to sit down. "Maomao, let me ask you, how did you find that ship?"
Cat glanced at him, and without him having to ask one by one, she said, "I had Joseph check your car, then found the boat, then found the people. From your earpiece, I heard Ah Jin trying to steal the things being auctioned."
I dealt with two groups of people at the front and back of Passage Three. One group was the bodyguards on the ship, and the other was a trap set by your opponents. I also captured someone; he might know you, and you might know him, but unfortunately, he got away.
When the cat said these things, it did so in a casual tone, as if it were just playing around.
"Solved...two groups of people? You were alone?" Ye Mingshi swallowed hard. Cat looked delicate and frail; she didn't seem like someone who could take down a group of armed men...
"You don't believe me? Why don't you try it yourself?" the cat said.
Ye Mingshi touched his head thoughtfully, "...No need, let's talk about it after I'm healed."
"What does that person look like?" Gu Zeyi asked.
The cat thought for a moment, then said with a troubled expression, "It must be very ugly, otherwise why didn't the cat remember it?"
Gu Zeyi: "..."
You could have just said you forgot. Why resort to personal attacks? It's not someone's fault if they're ugly.
But the cat added, "However, if I see him again next time, I might recognize him!"
Mu Jin suddenly spoke up, "There's no need to dig that person out anymore. Since they've shown up, they're not a key figure. We've got the box, let's go back to China first."
Cat said, "So, Ah Jin, when are you going back? Can we take the same flight?"
Mu Jin wanted to take back what she had just said.
But Ye Mingshi said, "Okay!"
The cat smiled with satisfaction, but then asked curiously, "You came all the way to Y country just to steal this wooden box! If it's so important, why did you manage to get it?"
When she asked that question, all four of them fell silent.
Tan Zheng absolutely refused to talk to the cat; he couldn't get over his awkwardness.
Gu Ze is usually very eloquent, but he's running out of things to say right now.
Ye Mingshi lowered his head, opened his phone, and swiped around aimlessly, simply pretending to be clueless.
Mu Jin propped her head up and, after a moment of silence, let out a cold laugh.
"Great, someone's challenged me." He smirked, half interested and half annoyed.
Being hoisted around like that was definitely one of the rare moments when Mu Jin had a mishap.
Cat counted on her fingers. Ah Jin seemed angry, but she still asked in a low voice, "What kind of challenge?"
Ye Mingshi nudged the cat's arm and whispered to her, "This wooden box has actually been auctioned in several places and has been resold repeatedly. Even though we knew there might be a trap yesterday, we still went."
The result was indeed true, which means that someone deliberately wanted to play this trick on us. This should... just be the beginning. This box can be considered as that person giving it up voluntarily.
The four of us went together, but the battle didn't go very well. I said, "Cat, look how angry Jin'er is, her face has turned green."
Cat looked at Mu Jin and said angrily, "Ah Jin is fair-skinned! Where is she green? You're the one who's green, your whole family is green!"
