Chapter 163 Mermaid? Murloc?

Richard's departure at this moment seemed to have completely started something.

Will this luxury cruise ship, sailing smoothly on the silent sea, ever really dock one day?

Song Shixin was still holding the feather in her hand, and the book was still in the same state as when she opened it.

Song Shixin originally wanted to put the book down, but his eyes stopped when they touched the pages.

Richard had put the feather in the book as a bookmark, and the crimson stain on the feather also stained a little on a word in the book - disease.

What's the meaning?

Is there a disease spreading on the cruise ship?

But hadn’t the bodies been disposed of?

Just as she was lost in thought, the door that Richard had left open was pushed open, and Yingying came in. "Why haven't you come back for so long?"

Song Shixin came back to his senses and quickly stuffed the feather into the book, "Sorry, I'll be right there."

She changed her clothes casually. There was originally a dinner party scheduled for tonight, but judging from the current situation, it probably would not be held.

There are fewer tourists outside today because so many people died at once and no one wants to go out.

"That's right. Now the safest thing is to stay indoors." Yingying affirmed their behavior.

Song Shixin glanced at the closed doors and asked her, "Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

"Yes." Yingying said, feeling Song Shixin's slightly anxious gaze, and motioned her to look at her arm: "It hurts, it's very uncomfortable."

Song Shixin looked at the bandage on her hand and shook her head: "Apart from this?"

"That's gone." Yingying said.

Then Song Shixin thought about the dead people again, "Among those who fell to their death last night, one was the woman who sat next to us and ate a lot at noon yesterday."

"Really?!" Yingying covered her mouth in shock: "Oh my God!"

"Is there any way to find out the identities of the other deceased people?" He said this in a low voice, as if asking himself, but Yingying heard it clearly and replied:

"We can ask someone else."

There are so many people on the cruise ship, and with a day of socializing and getting along, everyone will get to know a few people.

It's a simple but practical idea.

"Do you want to knock on the door?" Yingying pointed to a door behind her.

Then just ask.

Those whose doors were knocked were undoubtedly very scared and alert. Even though Yingying and Song Shixin looked very innocent, they would not let their guard down at all.

Through a small gap and double-locked chains, Song Shixin asked them if they knew or recognized who those dead people were.

Many people shook their heads to indicate that they didn't know the person and closed the door. It was not until the last room on this floor that the person who opened the door was a young woman in a white nightgown.

"The man who fell to his death last night was my lover." She covered her mouth and coughed twice, but she didn't shy away from telling the two strangers about their relationship. "Actually, we had a crazy time yesterday afternoon."

Song Shixin didn't understand the meaning of the woman's words, but Yingying blushed.

Song Shixin gave her a strange look, then asked the woman, "Was there anything wrong with him yesterday? Like, feeling unwell or something?"

The woman thought for a moment, "Yesterday after lunch, we were enjoying the breeze on the deck. He felt a little seasick, so we decided to return to the house. Apart from that, there wasn't anything wrong. It was the woman we bumped into who was the more problematic one!"

She thought of something, her brows furrowed tightly together. "On our way back to the room, we bumped into a woman who was being supported by a waiter. She kept coughing and shaking. I saw that she was coughing very violently, and she didn't even cover her mouth! It was so dirty."

As she spoke, she became a little emotional, turned her head abruptly, covered her mouth and coughed violently twice: "I must have caught the cold from her at that time!"

Song Shixin calmly pulled Yingying back a little and asked, "Is that woman wearing a pink dress?"

"Yes!" the woman nodded.

"Okay, thank you, have a good rest." Song Shixin smiled at her and pulled Yingying to leave.

"Hey!" The woman called out to them, "If it's convenient for you, please ask the waiter to get me some cold medicine. I don't dare to go out in this situation."

Yingying really wanted to say, do they look very brave?

But Song Shixin nodded and agreed: "If there is, I will ask them to send it to you."

"Thank you."

The woman coughed again and closed the door. Song Shixin took Yingying away quickly, frowning. She was basically certain that an unknown infectious disease was secretly spreading on the ship.

Starting with the woman in pink...

Thinking of this, she touched her throat in fear, and only breathed a sigh of relief after making sure she didn't feel like coughing.

If she was still worried about the woman's mysterious disappearance and even possible death before, she now only felt fortunate. Perhaps it was because the other person's mouth was sealed at the time that Song Shixin herself was not infected.

Now that I think about it, if Richard, the captain of this ship, knew about the "infectious disease", then the woman in pink might have been specifically "dealt with".

What about the Siren?

If you think about it carefully, Richard always seems to spare no effort to emphasize the existence of "Siren".

"It's the Serpent Strait!" On the deck, one of the brave people who did not hide in the room shouted.
