Glass Butterfly

Two years after their divorce, Qiao Shu and Yu Zexu meet again at a press conference, their strained relationship evident under the flashing lights.

When a reporter asks if the divorce rumors are true and if it will affect the cooperation between the Qiao and Yu families, Qiao Shu replies, "It's fake." She then turns to Yu Zexu with a bright smile and asks, "Husband, what do you think?"

Yu Zexu leans back, his gaze cold, and replies dismissively, "What else? Who would call their ex-husband 'husband'?"

Initially, Yu Zexu flatly warns Qiao Shu to give up her attempts, stating they were merely using each other. He emphasizes that their public pretense was out of necessity, and he wanted nothing to do with her in private, believing distance was best for everyone.

Later, he grits his teeth and demands to know who the blonde, blue-eyed man by her side is.

Eventually, he forcefully silences her angry accusations by kissing her.

Late at night, Qiao Shu, pinned by Yu Zexu, can't take it anymore and asks, "Yu Zexu, is this how you maintain distance from your ex-wife?"

Yu Zexu holds her hands and retorts, "Isn't zero distance no distance?"

Friends warn Yu Zexu that this might be another deception, but he knows better; he wouldn't fall into the same trap twice.

They were just using each other, and would part ways once things were settled.

Late at night, Qiao Shu sits on the floor. The usually meticulously dressed woman now has slightly reddened eyes from crying, and she looks at him tenderly, "Husband?"

He wipes her tears and puts on her slippers, saying, "I'm here."

Even though he knew she was only calling him 'husband' when she needed something and 'Yu Zexu' when she didn't, he still fell for her.

Yu Zexu realized then that some traps, he was willing to fall into again.
