Chapter 22 End and Return

Even though many people were swept away by the waves when they got close to the rubber boat, people still swam over one after another.

"Huh?" Before he knew it, Feng Mingyang's foot was grabbed by a hand. He couldn't dodge in time, and his body tilted towards the water, about to fall in.

"Xiao Feng?" Xiang Lei was entangled and could only shout anxiously.

Feng Mingyang subconsciously closed his eyes, thinking to himself, "Damn it, don't let me catch you!"

The next second, Feng Mingyang felt a tightness around his neck. Xiao Jin, sensing the danger to the two of them, quickly swam over, pushed many of the attackers into the water, and climbed back onto the boat. At the last moment, she pulled Feng Mingyang back from the brink of falling in.

When Feng Mingyang opened his eyes and saw Xiao Jin, he almost burst into tears: "Thank you, boss, for saving my life!"

If he fell off the boat at this moment and was swept away by the waves, Xiang Lei and the others wouldn't even have a chance to find him. Therefore, Feng Mingyang was truly grateful to Xiao Jin.

After pulling Feng Mingyang back, Xiao Jin frowned as she watched the people climbing onto the boat.

Seeing that they couldn't get aboard, some people simply gave up and tried to attack the people on board, while others used sharp objects to cut the hull of the boat in the water, trying to destroy the rubber dinghy.

The main theme is "If you won't let me live, then we'll die together."

Unlike Xiang Lei and the others, Xiao Jin was not soft-hearted. He directly drew his long sword and slashed down. The sharp blade easily severed the arm of the person below.

The man screamed and fell into the water, leaving only a severed hand hooked to the rubber boat.

The terrifying screams attracted the attention of those around them, and only then did they realize that this was the same killer from the third floor!

Seeing that someone ignored his warning, Xiao Jin swung his knife again, this time not at the hand, and a bloody mark appeared on the person's throat.

The man's eyes widened, his hands loosened, and he sank down, clutching his neck. The last thing he saw in his vision was Xiao Jin's eyes, which remained completely unmoved.

"Ugh~" Feng Mingyang felt uncomfortable when he saw the severed hand, especially since the blood was still steaming. His fingertips trembled from time to time due to his nerves.

When he saw that Xiao Jin had killed another person without saying a word, and that no one dared to board the boat anymore, he forcibly suppressed his disgust.

Knowing that the big boss was taciturn, Feng Mingyang loudly added from the side: "Those who don't want to die should step back."

Xiang Lei, having recovered from his shock, immediately replied, "We only have this one boat, and its capacity is limited. Instead of wasting your time, why don't you look around the hotel and see if there are any containers that can float on the water?"

The fate of those two people was right before their eyes; their hands, still warm from being hung on the boat, were still fresh in their minds. Knowing that Xiao Jin and her group were not to be trifled with, no one dared to be the one to stick their neck out.

Even before Xiang Lei spoke, some people had already thought of this, especially after seeing a girl sitting in a large plastic basin, which fueled their speculations.

Some went to find a bed in the hotel, others pushed over a cabinet and sat inside, and still others set their sights on the hotel bathtub.

Anyway, no one dared to come to Xiao Jin's side anymore, and Xiang Lei breathed a sigh of relief.

"It's a good thing you came back in time, otherwise we really couldn't control them!"

Xiao Jin didn't look at Lei's dejected expression. Instead, she looked around for a suitable place to take refuge. Her words were chilling: "This is a real game, but if you treat it like a game, you won't be so lucky next time!"

The two pursed their lips.

Xiang Lei then smiled wryly, realizing that even at his advanced age, he still couldn't understand a single child.

Feng Mingyang also lowered his head, seemingly lost in thought.

As time passed, the wind grew stronger, and the water flooded the entire hotel, beginning to spread to the rooftop.

At this point, no one cared about anyone else, including Xiao Jin.

The three men fought desperately against the rain and strong winds, holding the rubber boat which was on the verge of capsizing several times.

Xiao Jin's mouth was full of mud and rainwater, but her expression remained unchanged.

A dark shadow flashed past the corner of her eye, and Xiao Jin felt a sense of crisis. She instinctively dodged to the side and kicked Feng Mingyang in front of her at the same time.

'Splash!' Before Feng Mingyang could react, he was kicked into the water.

Xiao Jin groaned as a table slid past her, its corner striking her shoulder, and a faint cracking sound rang in her ears.

"Xiao Jin? How are you?"

Upon seeing all of this, Xiang Lei's heart skipped a beat. Just now, a hotel table had been swept up by the wind and was about to crash down on them. If it weren't for Xiao Jin's kick, Feng Mingyang would have been hit.

"It's alright!" Xiao Jin took a deep breath, then turned to look at Feng Mingyang, who was struggling in the water.

"Glug glug~ Boss~ Glug glug~ Help!" Feng Mingyang frantically slapped the water's surface.

"Xiao Feng?" Xiang Lei asked anxiously.

Xiao Jin pulled out a rope and tossed it into the water: "Grab it, ten minutes left!"

Upon hearing Xiao Jin's words, Feng Mingyang fumbled around in the wind and waves, and after grabbing a rope, he desperately wrapped it around his arm.

With the rope in hand, Feng Mingyang finally stopped sinking.

He gasped for breath, "Boss, my life is in your hands, you absolutely mustn't let go!"

Xiao Jin remained silent. At this point, whether he could survive depended on his fate!

In the final minutes, Xiao Jin and the others couldn't even open their eyes. Everywhere they looked, there were waves crashing against them. It seemed that the heavens were angry and didn't want them to leave alive.

Finally, after a huge wave, the rubber boat was completely capsized. Xiao Jin and his two companions drifted with the current, and any attempt to surface was met with another being tossed back down.

The muddy sand blurred her vision, so Xiao Jin calmed herself down, held her breath, and tried to avoid the underwater obstacles.

Finally, after Xiao Jin felt an explosive, suffocating tightness in her chest, she heard a familiar voice in her ear.

[Ding-dong!]

[Countdown to the return begins: 5, 4, ... 1]

The second after the countdown ended, Xiao Jin regained her breathing and a flash of white light appeared before her eyes, and she found herself on a moving train carriage.

"Huff, huff~"

A surge of oxygen filled her nostrils, and Xiao Jin breathed lightly, but felt no stickiness on her body. Upon closer inspection, she realized that she was still wearing the same clothes she had worn when she first entered the game, only the pain in her shoulders remained.

Xiao Jin frowned, and her hand unconsciously touched her waist.

not good!

The dagger Chen Kai had given her was always hanging on her waist, but it seems it didn't come back with her when she returned.

Xiao Jin immediately looked at the space and breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing it.
