Chapter 341 Human Face

The two exchanged a glance.

"It seems we'd better not go in." Cui Mingyang tilted his head.

"Never mind, let's go back to our room, eat, and rest!"

"Hey, Mingyang, are you really planning to eat this?" Now that there were no outsiders around, Tong Xiaolu no longer needed to hide her thoughts.

Cui Mingyang smiled and said, "Of course I won't eat it! We're in the late game now, and the mutation value from this food will definitely be substantial."

He took the food from Tong Xiaolu's hand and planned to eat it along with his own later.

"But if we don't buy it, it will easily reveal that we have normal food."

"Oh, you mean Yin Qiu?"

Cui Mingyang: "It's only a part of it. To be on the safe side, we should still be careful."

"Does Luo Bin know about Brother Shadow's plans?"

"..." Cui Mingyang asked doubtfully, "He shouldn't...eat it! Besides, there's Xu Qing; he'll remind Luo Bin!"

………………

I swiped my card to open the door, but there was nothing particularly special about the room.

Xiao Jin checked the room and found that everything was there, so she simply took a shower.

The players were all real people entering the movie world; for those two days, there were fights and building explosions. Although they cleaned themselves up before leaving the movie theater, they were still covered in dirt.

Clothes are fine, most of Xiao Jin's clothes are props, but her hair and body are something else entirely.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Xiao Jin took a good shower. As for the food she had packed from the first floor, she simply threw it away.

After taking a shower, Xiao Jin felt refreshed. She went downstairs to deliver some of the dinner from her space to Xu Qing and the other three. After eating and drinking her fill, she returned to bed to rest.

Before going to sleep, Xiao Jin made sure to set an alarm so she wouldn't miss the early morning activities.

Xiao Jin didn't know how long she slept, but she was woken up by a deafening shout.

The sound came suddenly like a storm, piercing through the thick walls and striking her eardrums.

Xiao Jin suddenly opened her eyes, only to find everything in complete darkness. Moonlight filtered through the curtains, barely outlining the room's shape.

Xiao Jin sat up and listened carefully, and realized that the sound was not a scream of fear, but a noisy sound mixed with excitement and chaos.

The voice was very loud, but strangely, she couldn't make out what it was saying no matter what she tried.

It was as if she were wrapped in an invisible membrane, blurry and distant, yet clearly telling her that the source was right next door—the e-sports room.

Xiao Jin threw off the covers, and the moment her feet touched the ground, a chill ran from her toes straight to the top of her head.

The strangeness inside the room made Xiao Jin frown. She glanced at the time; it was exactly 10:30.

At this time, the guesthouse should have been completely quiet, so why is there such a loud noise?

Although she didn't know why a guesthouse would need to have its power cut off, Xiao Jin still got up and unplugged all the power sources to prevent the lights from suddenly turning on.

However, Xiao Jin knew that what was meant to shine would still shine.

Just then, a loud bang came from the e-sports room next door, followed by even more chaotic noise and shouts.

Xiao Jin straightened her clothes and then sat back down on the bed.

Do you think she'll go out to see?

No, no, no, we should give the guesthouse some face at times like this.

Meanwhile, Yin Qiu in the other room, as well as Xu Qing and Luo Bin below, all woke up.

"What's going on here? Are we clubbing?" Luo Bin lay on the bed, still half asleep, looking up with a blank expression.

He had originally planned to come out and check, but after thinking about it, he pulled the blanket over his head and pretended not to hear. Xu Qing turned over and went back to sleep.

Yin Qiu, on the other hand, did not seem as calm and composed as she had been during the day.

She sat upright on the bed, her back straight, her clothes neat and without a single wrinkle, as if she hadn't rested at all.

At this moment, she gripped the props tightly with both hands, revealing her inner tension and unease.

Yin Qiu slowly turned around, staring intently at the wall to her side, her eyes filled with vigilance. She would not hesitate to retaliate at the slightest sign of trouble.

From the moment she entered the guesthouse, Yin Qiu dared not relax for a moment. The reason she was able to survive until the later stages of the game was not because she was very strong, but because she was cautious enough.

Yin Qiu's ears were constantly listening to every subtle sound inside and outside the room, afraid of missing any signal that might threaten her life.

She dared not sleep, much less talk to Xiao Jin and the other four, for fear of accidentally offending them. As for dinner that night, Yin Qiu didn't eat a thing.

The plate was now on the bedside table, the oil inside had solidified.

Suddenly, a loud bang, like a thunderclap, exploded in Yin Qiu's ears. Her body trembled violently, as if she had been pulled up by an invisible force, and she instinctively jumped off the bed.

What is it?

Yin Qiu's heart pounded wildly, as if it would burst out of her chest. She gripped the prop tightly in her hand, her fingertips turning white from the excessive force.

With bulging veins on her arms, she looked like a frightened rabbit from excessive tension.

The next second, a piercing laugh, sharp and sinister, stabbed her eardrums like a wail.

Hehehe~

Yin Qiu instinctively covered her head with her hands, trying to block out the chilling sound, but the scene before her eyes widened instantly, and fear surged over her like a tidal wave.

On the wall in front of her, countless human faces had appeared out of nowhere.

Their faces were twisted and ferocious, their mouths agape, emitting shrill roars as if they wanted to devour Yin Qiu's soul.

The faces on the wall wriggled and squeezed together, creating a series of nauseating images.

Some faces wore eerie smiles, others showed expressions of extreme terror, and still others were filled with endless resentment and hatred.

Yin Qiu could clearly feel their gazes, like countless cold, sharp arrows, shooting straight at her, leaving her nowhere to escape or hide.

"Don't...don't look at me..."

She wanted to scream, but found that her throat felt like it was being tightly choked by something, and she could only let out weak, intermittent gasps.

Sweat trickled down her forehead and dripped onto the floor, making a soft sound that seemed particularly jarring in the quiet room.

Yin Qiu knew she couldn't stay any longer; she would die. She had to escape this terrifying place.

At this moment, Yin Qiu's mind was blank, and she had only one thought in her mind: to escape as soon as possible.

She ran quickly to the door, opened it without hesitation, and rushed into the darkness ahead without looking back.

At the same time, Xiao Jin, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, suddenly opened her eyes. She seemed to have just heard someone open the door.

Only she and Yin Qiu were on this floor, could it be...?
