Mr. Qi slowed his speech and cupped Greta's face in his hands as if it were a precious treasure: "As long as you ask, I can give you everything except freedom."

Amidst a cacophony of gazes, Greta led Leander by the hand and walked out of Mr. Ch'an's mansion.

“Go back now.” Greta placed the compass in his hand.

Leander looked at Greta thoughtfully: "Aren't you coming with me?"

Greta lowered her head, unable to answer his question.

Leander thought for a moment, then, as if making a firm decision, pulled Greta up.

"Although it's despicable to do this, I still want to take you to my home. Will you come with me?"

Greta stared blankly into his blue eyes.

"Your home?"

“Yes, there’s a crystal palace, free mermaids, colorful corals…” He blushed and exaggeratedly gestured with his hands, looking at Greta cautiously yet expectantly.

"You won't refuse, will you?"

Greta blinked and saw the sky and the sea merge together.

The moment Greta saw him, she knew she had to hide him away.

However, the Misty Lands are so vast, yet there is no place for Leander to hide. Where could Greta possibly hide him?

“Say it again,” Greta said, “you will not turn into bubbles.”

He pressed his forehead against Greta's, his soft hair brushing against her cheek.

"When we fall in love with a human being, we will take her to swim freely in the sea."

Greta believed that only a prince of the sea could possess such a pure soul.

"Let's go home."

They walked across the beach where they first met, the icy seawater slowly washing over their feet, knees, and even waists. Greta knew it would soon engulf them.

But it doesn't matter, they will hold hands and dive into the sea together, where a wonderful new world awaits them at the end of the ocean.

Greta smiled from the bottom of her heart: "I feel the call of God, and the seabed will be my home."

For a moment, Leander felt a chill run down his spine, but he was quickly charmed by Greta's smile.

The first time he saw Greta, he was irresistibly drawn to her, as if he had come ashore just to meet her.

Leander comforted her, "Don't be afraid, that will be your new home."

Greta grasped his hand in return: "I believe you."

Greta looked forward to it.

She offered the beautiful, mysterious, tranquil, dangerous, and boundless sea to her master.

A truly great being.
