Xiong Xue turned his head in terror to look out the rear window: "Don't stop, don't look back."
Xia Ning: "Nonsense, do you need to tell me?"
Little sister: "Meow~"
Although the rain stopped, the sky did not clear up.
Xia Ning sped through the city streets with the streetlights on, followed by an endless stream of zombies.
Compared to the zombies I encountered in the town, the zombies here are significantly faster and can even run.
Xia Ning wasn't sure if the zombies had evolved or if the zombies here were exposed to different levels of radiation.
She crashed into several cars along the way in an attempt to stop the horde of zombies.
In the small town, when zombies encounter obstacles, they clumsily try to push forward. Xia Ning especially remembers the zombie with its head on a telephone pole.
At that moment, the zombies behind her split into two groups: one group climbed up the overturned car by stepping on the zombies, while the other group lay on the ground, trying to squeeze through the gaps.
Xia Ning handed the grenade to Xiong Xue: "Roll down the car window, pull the fuse, and throw it backwards, okay?"
Xiong Xue's face turned deathly pale, and he stammered, "I...I...I..."
Mei spoke up: "Give it to me."
Without saying a word, Xia Ning threw the grenade to the back seat.
Xiong Xue's face twitched as he watched her handle the dangerous items so easily.
Meimi, who is skilled with guns, is also adept at using grenades, and she cleanly and efficiently aimed at the car behind her.
With a deafening roar, abandoned cars on the road triggered a chain of explosions, turning the area behind them into a sea of fire.
Zombies, of course, feel no pain. They continued to chase after Xia Ning and her companions, their limbs burned to ashes, until they were completely unable to move.
After dealing with one batch, new zombies kept pouring out from all directions.
The population of cities is not comparable to that of small towns.
Xiong Xue said with a determined look, "Sis, I'll throw the next grenade."
Xia Ning rolled her eyes: "I don't have that many grenades for you to practice with."
As she was speaking, Xia Ning suddenly slammed on the brakes.
The three people and the cat all leaned forward due to inertia.
"What's wrong, sis..."
Xiong Xue paused, because he also saw the large truck blocking the entire road ahead.
Then they saw several dark gun barrels protruding from the windows of a tall building ahead, and a deep male voice shouted, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
New zombies gathered behind her, and Xia Ning squinted as she checked the remaining balance of her defensive shield.
"Sister, let me do it, let me do it."
It was rare for Xiong Xue to be so perceptive; he noticed Xia Ning's displeasure, bent down, and pulled out a small stick from the gap under the passenger seat. A piece of cloth was rolled up on the end of the stick.
When Xiong Xue stretched the stick out of the window, Xia Ning realized it was a Chinese flag fluttering in the wind.
Xia Ning had no idea when Xiong Xue had brought him over.
Xiong Xue whispered, "Before we went abroad, the tour guide said that carrying a national flag is more effective than carrying gold. When we, as citizens of the country, travel abroad, we represent the face of the country, and the country will protect us in return."
Xia Ning remained noncommittal.
This might be true in times of peace, but it's hard to say in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Fortunately, this year is only the first year of biohazards.
Xiong Xue displayed the national flag briefly, then quickly pulled it back before the zombies could scratch it, carefully rolled it up, and put it away.
The national flag was his talisman.
The survivors upstairs seemed to discuss it for a moment, then said, "You can go over, but leave half of the supplies behind."
Xia Ning raised an eyebrow, snorted coldly, and then opened the car door.
The younger sister wanted to get off the bus, but she was a step too slow and got stuck inside. She could only scratch at the glass, making Xiong Xue and Mei Mi cover their ears.
Xia Ning stood alone in front of the truck, completely exposing herself to the gun barrel, glancing at the zombies that were about to pounce on either side.
Draw the knife and cleave vertically.
Without any special effects, it's just a flashy but impractical slash.
No one understood the point of Xia Ning slashing at thin air.
Only Xia Ning knew that she was determined to put on a show today.
Back in the car, Xia Ning stepped on the gas and drove straight at the truck.
Xiong Xue instinctively covered his head.
The truck was struck and split in two, revealing a clean, smooth cut in its steel frame.
Xiong Xue stared in disbelief: "Coach, I want to learn this."
-
"grass!"
High up on the building, several disheveled, blond-haired men were equally shocked.
"This is the legendary Gan Guo Kung Fu?!"
One of the younger men asked the muscular man, "Boss, are we just going to let them go like this?"
Before the team leader could answer, another man retorted, "Otherwise what? How many bullets do you have to fire?"
That's right, they had long since run out of ammunition and food.
The gun barrel was just a paper tiger to make a show of things; when they finally encountered other survivors, they didn't expect them to be such tough nut to crack.
The youngest member of the team, Jonathan, didn't give him any face at all: "Who do you think you are? Hans, if it weren't for your flawed plan, we wouldn't be stuck here."
Hans clenched his fist: "You coward, you dare to complain? If it weren't for the boss taking you along, do you think you would still be alive today?"
Another failure caused the atmosphere among them to become tense.
"head!"
Before the leader could speak, another person suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "I saw someone riding a donkey!"
The group looked closely and were surprised to find a young man with black hair and black eyes driving a donkey cart. The zombies were only a meter away from him, but they dared not come any closer.
