I'm leaving for the capital planet tomorrow, and I still need to check what I haven't brought.
——
Ling Miao woke up at the crack of dawn the next day.
Perhaps because it was her first time traveling to a foreign land since arriving in interstellar space, she was a little nervous and woke up early.
It was still early, with several hours to go before the starship took off.
With nothing else to do, Ling Miao decided to prepare the perishable ingredients.
All the ingredients to be taken have been stored in Susan's spatial storage; the rest are what the stall owner brought yesterday and some that Ling Miao thinks are unnecessary.
By the time all the ingredients were prepared, the morning sun had fully risen above the horizon.
Susan pushed open the door and saw Ling Miao busy in the kitchen.
"Why are you up so early?"
Ling Miao turned around, her lips curving into a smile. "There are still some ingredients that need to be processed, otherwise they'll spoil by the time we get back."
Susan nodded, stepped forward and took the things from Ling Miao's hands with practiced ease, "Tell me, and I'll do it."
Ling Miao was relieved and naturally let go.
I didn't have a big breakfast. I used the leftover dough to make some noodles, cracked in two golden, oily eggs, and it was simple yet delicious.
The steaming hot soup noodles flowed down my throat. The noodles were soft, springy, and chewy. Every now and then, I would take a sip of the warm soup and bite into a bright orange fried egg, which dispelled the chill of the morning.
Ling Miao licked her lips, put down the bowl in her hand, and looked at Susan with admiration, "Your cooking skills are getting better and better."
"I still can't compare to you."
The girl opposite him pouted, looking somewhat dissatisfied.
The soup was a bit cloudy, and the edges of the fried egg were still burnt and had a slightly burnt taste. The noodles were kneaded by Ling Miao, and the taste was as delicious as ever. It was a pity that my follow-up was too poor, otherwise it could have been even better.
Ling Miao stood up and patted Susan's head. "It's already very good."
This is true; for beginners, the beginning of a prototype is the start of success.
Even geniuses have to start by learning how to chop vegetables.
