The Sun family's dinner was set on that slightly worn wooden table, with a few simple dishes emitting a faint steam.
The egg tofu is cut into neat little pieces, and the tender tofu and golden eggs blend together, exuding a warm, homey feeling.
The greens were washed clean and looked vibrant green, with a few cloves of garlic adding a touch of freshness.
The only meat dish—stir-fried cured pork with garlic sprouts—was the highlight of the meal.
The cured pork is sliced thinly, but with alternating layers of fat and lean meat. After being stir-fried in oil, it releases an enticing aroma. The vibrant green of the garlic shoots and the deep reddish-brown of the cured pork intertwine, making it incredibly tempting.
Sun Jian sat in the main seat, a hint of anticipation on his face. He picked up a piece of cured meat, put it in his mouth, and chewed it a few times.
Then, he looked at Lin Yuan, his eyes filled with eagerness.
"Lin Yuan, today's meal is a bit simple, please don't mind. If you don't mind, why don't you stay at my house for a few more days!"
