Just then, the man suddenly pointed at Lin Yuan and shouted, "Everyone, he hit me! You saw it, you have to be my witnesses!"
Lin Yuan looked at the man with an innocent expression and shrugged.

The nurses and patients nearby started talking about it when they saw this.

The police arrived at the scene quickly. Two officers got out of their car and walked towards the scene, asking questions as they went.
When Liu Ming saw the police arrive, he immediately grabbed at them like a lifeline and shouted, "Officer, he hit me! He even pretended to be my girlfriend's boyfriend!"
Lin Yuan looked at the police with an innocent expression.
"Officer, this gentleman was drunk and kept harassing this lady. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I intervened to stop him. He hit me first, so I acted in self-defense!"
Ning Rushuang quickly spoke up for Lin Yuan.
"Officer, what he said is true."
Then, he pointed to Liu Ming, who was standing next to the policeman.

The police looked at the man and smelled him; he definitely reeked of alcohol. He had drunk quite a lot.
He glanced at Lin Yuan and Ning Rushuang, then frowned and said, "Come back to the police station with us and tell us the details of what happened."
The three were taken to the police station.
Inside the police car, Liu Ming sat fuming, muttering something under his breath.
Ning Rushuang kept her head down, occasionally stealing a glance at Lin Yuan.

The police car sped along and soon arrived at the police station.

Lin Yuan, on the other hand, looked calm and composed, with a slight upturn at the corners of his mouth and a look of disdain in his eyes.
Ning Rushuang stood to the side, her hands tightly crossed in front of her chest, her eyes revealing nervousness.
Soon, the police officer spoke first, his tone serious and calm.
"The three of you, how exactly are you going to resolve this matter?"
The man slammed his fist on the table and shouted angrily, "I want a medical examination to determine the extent of my injuries! I want this kid in jail! What right did he have to hit me!"
Lin Yuan sneered, crossed his arms, and glanced sideways at the man.
"Oh, that's a nice way to put it. Don't forget you started it while you were drunk!"
The police officer sighed and said helplessly, "Liu Ming, your injury doesn't even qualify as a minor injury. Besides, you started it. According to the law, you two either have to settle the matter or go to the detention center together for five days. Think about it carefully."
The man's face turned pale instantly, and he stared wide-eyed at the police officer in disbelief.
