Chapter 16 My dad would kill me!

Kyoto University cafeteria.

In the office on the second floor.

A man wearing floral shorts and gold-rimmed glasses was staring at the accounts on the computer, scratching his head repeatedly.

He looked completely frantic.

"Oh no, oh no! I finally managed to get my dad to let me manage this cafeteria after much pleading and begging, and now, in less than half a month, the revenue has dropped so much! If he finds out, he'll kill me!"

"Dad will definitely say that I am not as good as my eldest and second eldest brothers, and it will be more difficult to fight for the inheritance in the future."

"No, no, I have to find a way to turn the situation around."

The man is Yang Fan, the current owner of the Kyoto University cafeteria.

He's a genuine second-generation rich kid, and he's only ever done two things in his life.

First, it's about eating, drinking, having fun, and enjoying life.

Secondly, they should try to fight for the family property.

As the third child in the family, I have two older brothers.

However, all he's done over the years is play, and coupled with his status as a rich second-generation, he's become a master of time management, spending his days indulging in a meaningless and decadent lifestyle.

This resulted in him never being valued by his father.

As he gets older, he's starting to panic.

Both of his older brothers held important positions in the family business, while he himself knew nothing about it.

Seeing that things weren't going well, his mother conspired with him to stage a self-inflicted injury, which finally got his father to give him the job at the cafeteria to practice.

I originally thought doing business would be easy, and I even bragged about it to my dad.

He said that if he took over the cafeteria, the annual profit would be at least one million more.

Soon after, they discovered that the cafeteria's daily revenue was declining.

Compared to before I took over, the daily turnover has decreased by 10,000 to 20,000 yuan.

His cafeteria's profit margin is easily over 30%.

In other words, the significant decrease in daily revenue means he will earn tens or hundreds of thousands less per month.

That's over a million a year.

If things continue like this, instead of earning an extra million each year, we'll earn an extra million each year.

Cool!

Thinking about this, he became unsettled, his mind racing.

"Something must have gone wrong, or there must be a new competitor."

Although he was a playboy who only knew how to eat, drink, and have fun, he had seen a lot of the world from his parents since childhood, and he studied business management in college.

I've never eaten pork, but I've seen pigs run.

Even if a problem arises, I still know how to do basic situation analysis.

The food in the cafeteria has remained almost unchanged recently, and the chefs are also stable, with none of them having left.

So the problem shouldn't be with the food itself.

The reason must be the emergence of new competitors.

When it comes to competitors, they are nothing more than some small shops outside the school gate and a few shops inside the campus.

Because Kyoto University doesn't allow food delivery services to enter, students either eat outside the school gate or inside the school grounds.

As far as he knows, no new large restaurants or similar establishments have opened around the school recently.

Therefore, it's impossible for them to take away so many customers.

Therefore, the problem can only be occurring on campus.

However, the campus is mostly filled with small shops selling things like milk tea, so it shouldn't be impossible.

There are only so many students in the school; it's impossible for so many students to suddenly stop coming to the cafeteria for no reason.

I really can't figure it out.

He decided to investigate personally to see where the problem lay.

It was close to lunchtime when school let out, and he planned to observe where the students went after leaving the classroom.

He usually drives to work and goes straight home after get off work.

I don't know much about the daily eating habits of Kyoto University students or the restaurants on campus.

Now it's time to find out.

After explaining some things to the relevant personnel, he went downstairs and drove his BMW.

Don't be fooled by his seemingly impressive appearance driving a luxury car every day; he's actually very strict at home and doesn't get much pocket money each month.

Many times, we can't even afford to fill up with gas.

Fortunately, this car came with the feature of attracting beautiful women as soon as it was driven off the road, so when he ran out of gas, he used sweet talk to get the girls to give him money to refuel.

To his surprise, some girls actually said, "You're so mean, I love you!" in response to this unreasonable demand for money.

He also found a way to make money.

Over time, they were able to barely make ends meet.

We arrived near the teaching building.

Just then, the school bell rang, and students gradually came out of the classroom.

He stood quietly by and observed.

He noticed that there weren't many students walking out of the school gate; they were practically negligible.

The vast majority of people headed towards their own cafeteria, which was to be expected.

After all, the only place where a school eats is the cafeteria.

However, quite a few people actually headed in the other direction.

They all seemed quite anxious, and some students even ran.

Yang Fan looked completely bewildered: "Where are they going?"

Without thinking too much, he immediately started the car and slowly followed the group of students.

Before long, they found a line of over a hundred people in front of a small shop by the roadside.

Everyone was chatting and laughing.

The whole team was well-organized, and everyone looked very expectant.

He knew that this was a shop located inside the school and was available for rent.

I glanced at the man at the stall; he was fair-skinned, tall, and thin.
