☆、Chapter 14 No contact information

He left as if escaping. Shu Wanning didn't even want to give him any glances. She turned around and prepared to continue going upstairs. Wen Yuci appeared not far behind her without her knowing.

He looked at her, a faint smile on his lips, and asked with a hint of questioning: "I won't give you food?"

Shu Wanning nodded calmly: "You really didn't give me any food on my first day at Liyuan."

Wen Yuci raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Then go upstairs and I'll give you something to eat."

In the private room on the top floor, Shu Wanning sat by the window watching the waves hitting the beach and smelling the fragrance. When she turned around, Wen Yuci was already cutting the steak on the plate.

Seeing her turn around, he said, "Do you like the sea? I'll go down there with you later?"

Shu Wanning shook her head: "It's too cold."

I remembered Qiu Yuerong saying that she was in poor health, and I also remembered that she often wrapped herself in a thin blanket or shawl because she was afraid of the cold.

After a moment's silence, he said, "I'll have someone prepare some more nourishing medicinal food for you later."

"Forget it, it's too much trouble."

Wen Yuci exchanged his cut of steak with Shu Wanning's plate and said soothingly, "It's not a big deal."

The meal was quiet and harmonious. Afterwards, Wen Yuci couldn't help but ask, "Why do you eat so fast?"

Shu Wanning tightened his grip on the tissue, gently put it down, and as he picked up his coat, he looked at Wen Yuci and asked, "Have you ever been hungry, Mr. Wen?"

Wen Yuci shook his head. Shu Wanning said calmly, "If Mr. Wen had tried going hungry for three days before eating again, he would understand."

Wen Yuci frowned slightly. The investigation data did say that she was not living well in the Shu family, but he didn't know that she was actually starving.

He looked at Shu Wanning and said, "I'm sorry."

Shu Wanning shook her head indifferently. When she stood up, Yan Hao opened the door. He glanced at Shu Wanning and said, "Madam, your father is here. He said he wants to see you."

Shu Wanning put on her coat, looked at Yan Hao and asked, "Is there a back door? I'm a little tired and want to rest."

Wen Yuci smiled faintly and stood up, glancing at Yan Hao. Yan Hao nodded immediately, "There's a back door. I'll show you the way."

In the elevator, Shu Min's face was gloomy. Looking at the floors rising higher and higher, he forced himself to smile.

However, when the elevator door opened and I saw the wide-open door of the private room, that smile completely disappeared.

The waiter moved very quickly and cleared the table. He looked around the room and then pulled a waiter over and asked, "Where are the people in this room?"

Waiter: "Sir, no one has been to this room today."

Shu Min stood there in a daze, even though Ji Cheng had clearly told him that Shu Wanning was there.

After Yan Hao sent the two back to the company, Shu Wanning half leaned on the sofa, his fingertips tapping on the keyboard.

After a long time, she yawned lazily. Hearing the sound, Wen Yuci looked up and asked her, "Are you sleepy? Go to the lounge and take a nap?"

Shu Wanning put the computer on the coffee table and nodded. When she stood up, she heard Wen Yuci say, "You adapt quickly wherever you go."

Shu Wanning hummed and said, "Enjoy it if you have the conditions to do so. That way, you won't regret it when you die."

The door of the lounge was closed, and Wen Yuci sent a text message. Time passed by minute by minute. When he put away the documents, Shu Wanning seemed to be still asleep.

He gently pushed open the door of the lounge, and the remaining sunlight shone into the room through the gauze curtains. Shu Wanning was curled up in the quilt and sleeping soundly.

He sat at the head of the bed, gently shaking her arm and whispering to her, "Shu Wanning, wake up, go back to sleep."

Shu Wanning opened her eyes, took a moment to rest, propped herself up with the pillow, scratched her slightly messy hair, nodded, and asked vaguely, "What time is it?"

"Six o'clock."

When Wen Yuming returned to Qianyue Bay, he was sitting alone in the living room. When he heard the two people enter the room, he immediately shouted, "Brother! Sister-in-law! You are finally back! I am starving!"

Wen Yuci: "Why don't you eat if you're hungry?"

"It's too lonely to eat by myself. I want to eat with you."

Aunt Jing made soup for Shu Wanning. Wen Yuming looked at it eagerly and asked flatteringly, "Can I drink this soup?"

Shu Wanning: "Yes..."

Wen Yuci: "No, this is for your sister-in-law to regulate her body."

"Oh, then I won't drink it. I'll leave it all for my sister-in-law."

Shu Wanning didn't look up. The atmosphere between the brothers was very good, which was a feeling she had never experienced in all these years in the Shu family.

The Shu family...there is no harmony. No one cares about her food, no one makes medicinal food for her, and no one really cares about her.

She quickly finished her soup and said as she stood up: "I'm full, I'll go upstairs first."

She only drank a bowl of soup. Wen Yuci looked up at her, as if he could sense her depressed mood.

After dinner, he was processing documents in the study. When Aunt Jing brought him tea, she said unintentionally:

"The young lady just brought some ice cream upstairs. The portion is a bit large, and I'm afraid it might be bad for her health if she eats too much.

But the young lady said it's okay, so why don't you try to persuade her?"

"Yeah, I understand."

He opened his phone to send her a message, only to realize that he and Shu Wanning had no contact information.

He stood up and left the study, knocking on Shu Wanning's door. When the door opened, a look of surprise flashed across his eyes.

Shu Wanning was wearing a beige nightgown, with her hair draped over her shoulders and lingering water stains at the ends of her hair.

Her face was pale without makeup, and her lips were very light in color, making the sickly beauty even more pitiful.

She looked at him with a puzzled look, holding the ice cream in her hand and had eaten almost half of it.

Shu Wanning: "What's the matter?"

Wen Yuci coughed lightly and said, "I heard from Aunt Jing that you took the ice cream. You are not in good health, so don't eat too much."

Shu Wanning glanced at the large serving of ice cream in her hand and nodded, then handed it to Wen Yuci and said, "Then please help me get it downstairs."

Wen Yuci reached out to take it, and just as he was about to take out his cell phone, the door in front of him suddenly closed.

He smiled helplessly, and when he went downstairs, he happened to meet Aunt Jing who was about to get off work.

He handed the ice cream to Aunt Jing and said, "Put it away first. She can eat it tomorrow. By the way, why is there ice cream at home?"

"Master Yuming bought it."

Wen Yuci nodded. As he went upstairs, he remembered that since the snack cabinet was built, Shu Wanning had never come downstairs to look for food at one in the morning again...

At this time, Shu Wanning was sitting in a rocking chair on the balcony. The lights in the courtyard outside the window were bright, but when she looked up, she could not find a single star in the sky.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning flashed before her eyes. She closed her eyes, and then thunder suddenly sounded in her ears.

Bean-sized raindrops hit the window, thunder rumbled, and the memories that had been suppressed and endured in my heart were slowly reviving.
