Liao Fusheng's pupils dilated, "Miss..."
"Shut up!" Li Ruo glared at him. "Don't ever say you're from Ziyang Peak again, that you were tricked into coming here by a few so-called family members."
Chu Yunji smiled and put down his bow and arrow. "Miss Li is indeed interesting. I will spare her life for now, until you completely submit to me."
He was far more curious about this woman than about any other woman; how could he bear to kill her like that?
Li Ruo nodded, "Hey, I'm a talented person after all. Can you find me a place to rest? I'll work for you again tomorrow. I'll go with him."
Chu Yunji smiled slightly, "That's fine too." He didn't believe she would surrender so easily.
But she was already right under his nose, so where could she escape to?
After leading them to a side room, Chu Yunji ordered his men to keep watch on them from outside the door and on the roof, making sure they didn't miss a single word they said. He wanted the people, and he wanted the Imperial Seal of the State as well.
Inside the side room.
Li Ruo yawned, stretched, and looked at the single bed. "I'm going to take a nap. You can sit here."
Liao Fusheng grasped her arm; this was the first time he had ever crossed such a line.
Li Ruo glanced down. "Is something wrong?"
"I'm sorry." Liao Fusheng quickly let go of her hand again.
Li Ruo looked amused and asked, "What did you do to wrong me?"
"I shouldn't have kept it from you." Liao Fusheng looked at her, his eyes filled with pain and shame.
"Besides hiding your background from me, what else have you been hiding from me?"
Liao Fusheng: "I..."
"You're still the second-in-command of Black Wind Stronghold?"
Liao Fusheng: !!
