Chapter 6: How did the stinky person become a fragrant person today?
After using nearly a third of the soap, Wang Yue's skin was almost peeling off from being soaked.
After getting dressed, Wang Yue even called over two maids to smell her body to check if she had any odor.
The two maids were initially reluctant, after all, the Second Madam's body odor was an open secret in the mansion.
Every time she smells it, she can't say it directly, especially in the summer, when everyone avoids her.
I originally intended to hold my breath, lean closer, and say some things against my will.
But when they got closer to the Second Madam, something unexpected happened.
The second wife doesn't smell bad at all today!
She was still filled with a rich floral fragrance!
Although the fragrance of the flowers is a bit pungent, it smells much better than the stench!
Seeing the surprised expressions on their faces, Wang Yue was more satisfied than any answer.
Fearing the fragrance would dissipate, Wang Yue didn't linger and immediately had a car prepared; she needed to rush to the temple fair!
Wang Yue was only thinking about avenging her previous humiliation at the temple fair, and she still didn't see the First Madam when she passed by the entrance.
This time, the First Madam was truly angry; after all, she was the legal wife!
Wang Yue, despite being favored by the master, should not be so arrogant!
After the anger subsided, a question arose: "Was that fragrance coming from her?"
A gust of wind blew in from the doorway, carrying Wang Yue's rich fragrance, which had faded considerably by the time it reached their noses.
Only that sweet but not cloying, refreshing and pleasant floral fragrance.
Standing next to her, Chen's eldest daughter also looked incredulous, "It really seems to have come from Second Aunt!"
What happened? How did someone who used to smell so bad suddenly become someone who smells so good?
What kind of magic did she cast?

at the same time,
Zhao Family Village in Jishui Village.
Zhao Sheng returned home with his grandson Zhao Xiaoer. His eldest daughter-in-law was busy in the kitchen, her sleeves rolled up high.
The eldest son, Zhao Gang, had just returned from weeding the field, and hadn't even put down his hoe yet.
In contrast, the second son's family has not returned yet.
Today was supposed to be a day when the whole family went to the temple fair together.
The eldest son and his wife only had a quick look around and finished praying for blessings before leaving their son, Zhao Xiaoer, with Zhao Sheng.
The couple went to the fields to weed before the sun got too strong.
The second daughter-in-law met her brother from her maternal family at the temple fair, and took Zhao Kun and their child Zhao Da back to her maternal home.
They haven't come back yet.
Zhao Xiaoer walked into the kitchen and looked at his mother's busy figure and the sweat on her forehead, his eyes filled with heartache.
"Xiao Er is back. Go play for a while, dinner will be ready soon," Li said, glancing at her son as she swung the spatula.
Zhao Xiaoer took out a White Rabbit milk candy from his pocket and carefully tore open the wrapper. The paper was smooth and had a white rabbit printed on it.
That strange, sweet aroma immediately wafted out, even more enticing than the most expensive maltose at the temple fair.
Zhao Xiaoer suppressed his drool. He had already eaten one on his way back and given one to his grandfather. This one should be left for his mother.
She tiptoed and held the candy to Li's lips: "Mother, have some candy. It's very sweet."
"What's this?" Li asked, scooping up the cooked vegetables.
"Candy, milk candy. White Rabbit candy, it's very sweet. A pretty older sister gave it to me, Mommy, try some!"
He held up the candy and stood on tiptoe as high as he could.
As soon as Li got closer, she smelled the enticing sweet fragrance, which also had a faint milky scent.
Looking at the sugar that was whiter than snow, she swallowed hard. She couldn't remember the last time she had eaten candy.
Nevertheless, she restrained herself and lovingly patted her son's head. "Mother isn't greedy, Xiao Er can keep it for himself. Your filial piety makes my heart as sweet as honey."
"No, Xiao Er has already eaten, and Grandpa has also eaten. This one is for Mother. Mother, open your mouth, it's really sweet."
Zhao Xiaoer was relentless; he was determined to make sure his mother got to eat the candy today.
“Your son gave this to you, so just eat it. Didn’t you say a few days ago that you wanted something sweet?” Zhao Gan also came over and advised her not to let her son’s filial piety go to waste.
Since her husband and son had both said so, Li hesitated for a moment, but still obediently opened her mouth.
This sweetness is just too tempting!
Originally, she only intended to give it a light lick, but Zhao Xiaoer gently squeezed the small sugar ball wrapped in glutinous rice paper into Li's mouth.
The glutinous rice paper melted instantly, as if the seal on the candy had been broken, and in an instant, the entire mouth was filled with the sweet aroma of milk!
So delicious!
This is the best candy she has ever eaten in her life!
It wasn't the sweetness of malt sugar, nor the sweetness of honey; it was a sweetness I had never tasted before, filled with the aroma of milk!
The delicate, silky flavor glides down your throat little by little.
The candy her son handed her was even sweeter than the candy she ate on her wedding day!
Li's eyes welled up with tears. All the grievances she had suffered since marrying into the Zhao family seemed to melt away with this piece of candy!
"Mother? Why are you crying? Is this candy not tasty?" Zhao Xiaoer panicked and tugged at her clothes.
Li knelt down and hugged him tightly, her voice trembling slightly but filled with laughter: "It's delicious, it's just so delicious! Mother is so happy!"
Just then, darkness fell at the kitchen doorway.
The second daughter-in-law, Zhou, stood there holding a winnowing basket, her face long and drawn, like a wall that had just been plastered.
Her son, Zhao Da, was following behind her.
"Oh, sister-in-law, you're crying so hard, did you have some delicacies? Or... did Dad give the second son special treatment again?"
She strode in, slamming the winnowing basket heavily onto the stove, raising a small cloud of dust.
Li quickly wiped her face, stood up, and said in a slightly unsteady voice, "Sister-in-law, it's not..."
Zhou ignored her completely and interrupted, "What do you mean 'not'? Don't think I didn't hear anything just because I just got back! Zhao Xiaoer! What are you holding in your hand? Candy? Where did it come from? Did your grandfather secretly buy it for you? Where's my Zhao Da? Why isn't there any for him?"
She raised her voice, as if afraid the people inside wouldn't hear.
Zhao Sheng came in from the main room upon hearing the noise, frowning: "Eldest daughter-in-law, what are you yelling about?"
"Father!" Zhou suddenly turned to Zhao Sheng, her voice rising abruptly, like a chicken whose tail had been stepped on.
"You must treat them both fairly! They're both your grandsons, but the younger one is getting a treat! And my Zhao Da? I haven't even seen him! This favoritism is just too much!"
Zhao Sheng's face darkened, his deeply lined face filled with exhaustion and helplessness: "Second brother's wife! Be reasonable! At the temple fair, you saw your brother and insisted on taking Zhao Da back to your parents' home! These few candies were given to me by the shopkeeper when I was taking Xiao Er home. He saw that Xiao Er was well-behaved and pleasing to the eye. Zhao Da didn't even show his face, so why should he get any?"
"Dad, couldn't you just say you have two grandsons and ask the shopkeeper for a few more? I don't care! My son didn't get any, that's all! You're so biased!" As she spoke, she secretly pinched Zhao Da's arm hard.
Zhao Da immediately rushed out, hugging his grandfather and throwing a tantrum, "Grandpa, the eldest wants candy too! Why does the second eldest have some but the eldest doesn't? Grandpa's being unfair! The eldest wants candy, the eldest wants the candy the second eldest has..."
Zhao Da was only one year older than Zhao Xiao Er, and he had always wanted to compete for everything since he was a child.
Zhao Xiao clutched the few remaining candies tightly in his hand and walked towards Zhao Gan.
Zhao Sheng looked down at Zhao Da, then at Zhou Shi, who refused to give up. He sighed deeply.
"Waiter, take out the rest of the candy and give it to your older brother."
Zhao Xiaoer huddled in Zhao Gan's arms and shook his head.
This candy was given to me by the pretty lady, why should I share it with her!
Zhao Da eats and drinks well at his uncle's house all day long, why didn't he ever think of sharing a little with him!
Zhao Sheng's voice was terribly hoarse, carrying an almost pleading tone, "Waiter, be good and take it out."
Zhao Xiaoer pouted, tears welling up in his eyes.
But she was still reluctant to part with them, so she stretched out her little hand and opened the two White Rabbit milk candies she had been clutching tightly.
Zhao Sheng took the milk candy and stuffed it into Zhao Da's hand, who was still wailing.
"Here, is this alright?"
