Chapter 8 Taking a Bath

The hospital corridors seemed endless, each corner filled with mystery and the unknown.

There was only solemnity and sorrow there; almost everyone's face wore an indescribable sadness. Xia Lian disliked the atmosphere of the hospital, but she couldn't leave.

Staying there, she was always surrounded by a strange sense of suffocation, making it hard for her to breathe, as if she were carrying a lot of unknown weight.

"It's that girl again."

"It's so pitiful, I see her in the hospital almost every day."

"Hey, keep your voice down, don't let anyone hear you."

"He looks like he's only in his teens, sigh, poor thing..."

Xia Lian's lips were completely bloodless, her eyebrows lay limply above her eyes, and her gaze remained lifeless and empty, as if she had lost focus, yet she was carefully observing her current appearance.

"Xiao Lian, don't cause trouble for others."

"Okay, Mom, I won't cause trouble for others."

Sure enough, she looked exactly like her in the hospital.
