"You really can fall asleep so easily, kid. You're amazing." Wen Mo rolled his eyes speechlessly and gently released the girl who was leaning against him.
Xia Lian lay on the bed, her face no longer as pale as before. It seemed that drinking brown sugar water and massaging her belly were quite effective.
Wen Mo had no idea what menstrual cramps felt like, and as a man, he didn't experience them either.
However, he heard online that menstrual cramps are very difficult to endure, so he tried his best to make Xia Lian feel better.
"She's sleeping really soundly."
Wen Mo looked at the girl's sleeping face with great interest, and sat on the edge of the bed to catch his breath. After being busy all morning, he finally had a chance to rest.
Fortunately, the result was not bad. Being able to fall asleep meant he was a little sleepy, and his body probably didn't hurt as much. He had also had a fever before and knew that the feeling of sore all over and dizzy was not pleasant.
Perhaps it was because his tense nerves suddenly relaxed, Wen Mo's eyelids drooped slightly, and a sense of drowsiness enveloped him at some point.
I think I might feel sleepy too.
Shaking his head, Wen Mo tried to clear his mind, otherwise if he fell asleep, no one would take care of the girl. If Xia Lian woke up before him, she would definitely not wake him up, given her personality.
Wenmo lay half-reclined on the bed, his head bobbing back and forth.
But... if it's just a short nap, there shouldn't be any problem, right...?
With this thought in mind, his already drowsy brain immediately relaxed, and he changed his position, lying on his side next to the girl.
"I hope that when I wake up, the fever will have subsided."
Wen Mo reached out a hand and gently stroked Xia Lian's cheek, then slowly closed his eyes, and soon his even breathing could be heard.
...
The girl had a dream.
The dream was strange, and she didn't know how to describe it.
Her body felt light and airy, as if she could fly anywhere. Xia Lian flew aimlessly in the sky until she finally arrived at a familiar street.
That was the route she and Wenmo took to school every day.
There was a familiar figure in the corner, like an NPC that was bound to spawn. Wen Mo stood by the street, looking left and right. Finally, he saw Xia Lian flying in the sky and waved to her with a smile.
However, something is a little different from usual...
The person in front of me was Wen Mo, no doubt, but his 50-meter height was unlike his usual self; he looked more like a giant from a tokusatsu movie.
Even in her dream, Wen Mo still wore a kind smile, stretching out his huge hand towards Xia Lian, as if indicating that she could stand on it.
"You can stand up here." Even Wenmo's tone of voice in the dream was exactly the same as usual, with his eyes crinkling with laughter.
Without much hesitation, Xia Lian stopped flying. She was just a little worried that her weight would hurt his palm, so she carefully stepped on it.
Wen Mo withdrew his hand, his huge eyes staring straight at Xia Lian.
Xia Lian just felt a little curious. She had never seen such a huge cousin before, but she wasn't scared because she believed that even in her dreams, her cousin would never do anything to hurt her.
"Wenmo," the girl said softly, reaching out to stroke Wenmo's cheek.
Suddenly, the giant Wenmer vanished, as if he had evaporated into thin air.
The next second, Xia Lian experienced a dream that everyone has had—falling from a great height.
At the same time, Xia Lian in reality shuddered violently and opened her eyes.
She woke up.
It was more like she was startled awake; the feeling of falling from such a height was so real that the girl was still breathing softly.
"Haa, haa..."
Looking back, it all seemed like a dream.
Because the real Winmer was lying next to him at that moment, not as big as a giant, but still the same normal size as before.
Dreams during a fever are often more bizarre than usual.
Xia Lian was stunned for a moment, and subconsciously reached out to touch the person next to her. When she touched that real, tangible touch, she instantly felt much more at ease.
Touching his cheek, the girl's expression was still a little dazed, until a strange feeling in her body forced her off the bed.
I need to pee.
Xia Lian carefully walked around the sleeping Wen Mo. Just as he had guessed, the girl did not want to disturb Wen Mo's sleep.
When I came back from the toilet, I realized that my stomach didn't hurt as much anymore. Maybe Wenmo's rubbing of my stomach really worked.
She quietly climbed back into bed, and Xia Lian and Wen Mo were very close, almost nose to nose.
Feeling the presence of the person beside her, the girl's eyes became slightly hazy, and she gently snuggled into his arms. Indeed, the real Wen Mo was the best.
The midday sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow on the two of them.
For a moment, Xia Lian even thought it would be nice if time could freeze at this moment, but after careful consideration, she felt it was a bit of a waste.
I want to experience even more with Wenmer.
She knew her personality was strange; she spoke slowly, looked a bit dull, always seemed to misjudge the atmosphere of conversation, and often liked to act coquettishly.
The girl's thinking was clumsy; she hadn't considered anything else. She didn't understand why two people hugging would attract attention; she only knew that Wenmo's embrace felt really warm.
It was so heartwarming that she wanted to be with Wenmo forever.
Looking at the young man's handsome face, Xia Lian's eyes were clear as she whispered in his ear, "Thank you, Wen Mo... Wen Mo is the best..."
