The living room became noisy.
"Put down the belt! I'll say it again, let me explain first! Put down the belt first!"
"What's the point of explaining?! You beast!"
Before anyone knew it, Wen Yiquan had taken off the Seven Wolves belt that had been with him for many years, and with a flick of his wrist, he swung it around with incredible power!
Like a demon lord descended from heaven, he is truly a tyrant on earth!
The living room, which was originally noisy, gradually became chaotic, and Wen Yiquan could greet the other person even through the phone screen.
Even though they are biological father and son, they showed no intention of stopping. Anyone who didn't know better would think they were having a PK battle in a live stream.
"I already said to let me explain... huh?"
Wenmer stopped mid-sentence, his retort abruptly halting.
I felt a chill on my back, as if someone was tugging at the hem of my clothes.
Looking back, the girl he had only known for less than fifteen minutes had somehow wiped the sweat off her body and secretly walked out of the room to stand behind him.
At this moment, she tugged at Wen Mo's clothes without saying a word, only staring intently at Wen Mo and the phone screen in front of them.
"W-what's wrong?"
Wen Mo swallowed hard and asked in a low voice, not even realizing that his tone of voice had become slightly stuttering.
Wen Yiquan on the screen also noticed her movements. The two who were originally "PK" almost simultaneously chose to shut up and their eyes turned to her.
As if noticing their gazes, the cousin raised her lifeless eyes, seemingly preparing for something.
"Don't... argue."
Her voice was thin and weak, as if uttering those words had already taken a lot of her strength.
After saying that, she let go of Wen Mo's clothes.
She took a few quick steps to the phone screen, first bowing slightly to Wen Yiquan on the other side, then speaking softly again:
"No, don't fight."
The same words were simply repeated.
The living room fell silent as the two men stared blankly at the girl.
Noticing their gazes, she seemed to realize what she had said, so she quietly lowered her head and stopped talking, then picked up her toes and sat back down in a corner of the sofa.
"Ah..." Wen Mo scratched his head and exchanged an awkward smile with his father on the screen.
“We didn’t argue, it’s just that my dad’s epilepsy flared up again, and he likes to take out his belt and swing it around for fun.”
"You're the one with epilepsy!" Realizing that the two of them were actually fine, Wen Yiquan took back his belt, tucked it back into his waistband, and put on his usual amiable smile again. "Um...you sit over there too, sit next to her."
Upon hearing this, Wen Mo said "Oh," took a few steps to the sofa, glanced at her sitting in the corner with her head down, and then consciously sat down a little distance away from the girl.
"I didn't mean for you two to sit together..."
“It’s all the same.” Wen Mo waved his hand. “It doesn’t matter where you sit, let’s continue talking about what we were talking about.”
She happens to be sitting here right now.
"Then I'll just get to the important points."
"I wish you had been like this from the beginning," Wen Mo muttered, then pricked up his ears and pretended to listen intently.
Wen Yiquan watched the two of them for a while, and seeing that they had both quieted down, he gradually turned his gaze toward his son's side.
Looking into his eyes and meeting his gaze, Wen Yiquan slowly spoke, saying something casually.
Simply put, you'll be living together from now on.
...
...
I'll start with zero frames.
Is it because I was already mentally prepared?
This time, Wenmer remained silent for a long time, without any other reaction.
Or perhaps I wasted a lot of energy "PK" with him for so long, or perhaps too many things happened today, making me feel unreal.
He can't even muster a hint of surprise now.
After staring at his father for a while, Wen Mo turned his head and secretly glanced at the girl sitting quietly beside him, who hadn't made a sound at all from beginning to end.
It was as if what she was saying had nothing to do with her.
"Tsk... I knew it."
With a sigh, Wen Mo scratched his head, unable to offer any answer. Finally, looking at the floor, he added helplessly, "Give me a reason that will convince me. I've lived here for over two years now, and suddenly another person moves in... I really..."
He didn't continue after that point, because he still had to consider the feelings of the new girl, even if he was really unhappy, he couldn't show it.
Even if you want to offer suggestions, it's best to talk to his father alone.
Judging from her behavior, she probably won't be able to say anything.
"I know you feel wronged, but I paid the rent for this room, so I have the right to decide how to arrange it, right?"
"I'll be graduating in a year, and they suddenly pull this on me?"
"I know you're in a hurry, but don't rush," Wen Yiquan tried to reassure him.
"So..."
Wen Yiquan waved his hand, signaling him to stop talking. "Xiao Lian, take that out and let him see it."
Upon hearing this, the girl simply nodded calmly, got up and looked around. She found her suitcase in a corner of the living room and opened it step by step with some awkwardness.
There were very few things inside, mostly just clothes and such, which explains why it felt so light when I was carrying it.
After the rustling of the suitcases stopped, he turned around, about to speak, but before he knew it, the girl was already standing behind him, looking at him calmly.
