Chapter 35 Eating



His gaze then focused on a corner of the cafeteria, where several standing boys blocked the view of the tables, making it impossible to see who was sitting inside.

Xia Lian stared blankly at the empty table. She had been sitting there for several minutes, and she didn't understand why, during which time boys kept coming over to ask her if they could sit and eat together.

"Hey classmate, can we eat together? I see your place is so spacious." A male student smiled and, as if they were old friends, picked up his tray and tried to sit down.

"Sorry, no..."

It wasn't until he sat down that the girl next to him cautiously rejected him, forcing him to stand up again before he had even been sitting for a second.

"Oh, I see. Sorry to bother you." He apologized awkwardly and quickly left the spot.

Xia Lian didn't know that this behavior was called flirting; she only knew that the other seat had to be reserved for her cousin, so she had to refuse all these people.

Even though she was a little timid, she still opened her mouth slightly and whispered her refusal.

"I've found you! I've been looking for you for ages!" Just then, a familiar, gentle voice interrupted Xia Lian's thoughts.

Slowly raising my head, I saw a familiar face sitting opposite me.

Xia Lian's previously disappointed eyes immediately brightened. Perhaps even she herself didn't realize that after seeing him, her previously tense face began to slowly relax.

She didn't know how to describe it, only that she felt much more relaxed, and that having him by her side in what was originally an unfamiliar environment made her feel especially at ease.

The usually taciturn Xia Lian now had a pitiful look in her eyes, "So slow..."

Wen Mo chuckled and scratched his head. "Sorry, sorry, I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly."

As he spoke, he turned around and glanced around at the boys standing nearby, seemingly casually. "Hey guys, stop staring. Haven't you ever seen a handsome guy eating before?"

After she finished speaking, all the surrounding gazes disappeared, and the boys who had originally intended to strike up a conversation left feeling bored.
