Chapter 1034: Falling with the Wind and Snow

We got up early in the morning and took a walk on the beach after breakfast. The sky was still blue, the water was still blue, and the sand was still fine. It was still early, and there were almost no footprints on the beach. There were also some sea creatures buried in the sand. Yunluo and An Qingju found 4 or 5 starfish and many small cuttlefish along the way...

Then we all took a car through the tropical rainforest to the sand dunes, ready to sandboard. The sand dunes were about 60 or 70 meters high. Then everyone held a wooden board and climbed up the dunes. The driver waxed your board, and then we slid down at a very fast speed, about 50 or 60 kilometers per hour.

Many people can slide very far, but poor Yunluo has no athletic ability at all. He has to brake halfway through sliding, and then fall out, making a big hole in the smooth sand dune. Yunluo was wondering at that time how he got full marks in the high school entrance examination... But it was still very fun, although Yunluo was covered with bruises after sliding.

After lunch, we were free to move around the island and see the scenery. It was really nice. I won’t say much more.

Yunluo's trip to the Gold Coast was really great. In the morning, we went to Warner Bros. Movie World, a theme park covering an area of 1.68 square kilometers. It is a bit like Happy Valley, but much more fun than Happy Valley. Since it is a movie world, Yunluo really experienced the movie here.

The real-life stunts were super thrilling and exciting, and the air was filled with the smell of oil and gasoline. It was the first time Yunluo saw a real-life performance, and I felt one word: awesome! It's a pity that I can't share it with you. The photos don't show the feeling. Yunluo recorded it on video.

Then there was a 4D movie, which Yunluo had never seen before. In fact, Yunluo had never even seen 3D. She had a pile of movie tickets, but she wasn't very interested. Every time she went to the movies, it was because the tickets were about to expire... There were also many cartoon characters in the movie, and they all lined up to take pictures. Yunluo also took a few pictures.

Next we went to Dream World, which is also a theme park. There are several theme parks on the Gold Coast, all of which are superb. But due to time constraints.

Yunluo went to these two most distinctive ones. Here, Yunluo finally saw kangaroos and koalas, as well as emus and so on. She even took a photo holding a koala. In fact, it didn’t smell bad. The fur was very comfortable and well-behaved, but it was a little heavy.

But the photo taken by the person who took the photo of Yunluo and Yunluo's An Qingju was really horrible. It's a pity. It is said that there is the world's tallest bungee jumping machine here. Of course, Yunluo took it. It is 120 meters high. To be honest, it is not scary at all. It just goes up and then comes down. Yunluo thought it would bounce a few more times.

After leaving Dreamland, I took a ride on the most luxurious yacht on the Gold Coast. This self-funded project is really expensive, $138. It only takes more than an hour. It is said that this yacht costs $7 million. The decoration inside is extremely luxurious and has three floors. The Gold Coast is famous for its sea. The moment Yunluo sailed out of the harbor, he deeply felt it. It was magnificent and gorgeous. No more words. The picture above.

After getting off the yacht, we visited the floating church. This is a church specially used for weddings. Once the couple makes a reservation, it will sail out to the sea to hold their wedding. It is really romantic, but the price is not cheap.

The first impression when walking on the streets of Cairns is the green and bright sunshine. Speaking of sunshine, the sunshine in Australia is really great and always makes people feel so comfortable. But it also brings a problem, that is, the ultraviolet rays are too strong, so that the incidence of skin cancer in Australia has been very high.

In order to avoid sunburn, you must apply sunscreen. An Qingjue didn't care at first, but got sunburned after half a day. The back of his neck and arms were red and painful when touched. Fortunately, An Qingjue and Yunluo brought some mint ointment, which is very effective in treating sunburn. An Qingjue bought a straw hat that afternoon, and applied sunscreen more actively than Yunluo. It seems that sunburn is really painful.

There are many barbecue grills in the parks along the coast of Cairns. People are often seen grilling there. It is said that they are free to use. It is so pleasant to enjoy the barbecue while looking at the sea view.

The outdoor swimming pool by the sea. There is no beach in the city of Cairns. The beach is made up of wetlands, which is a paradise for birds and is inaccessible to tourists. In order to make up for the regret that people cannot swim in the sea, the locals specially built this extra-large outdoor swimming pool. The hotel and casino are on the first floor of the hotel, and the top floor is a large tropical greenhouse. The hotel provides a 24-hour buffet with a wide variety of dishes and good taste, but the price is very affordable. The casino provides free coffee and other beverages, and the service is quite good.

A street along the coast of Cairns is home to a large number of restaurants and bars. There is a food court opposite the outdoor swimming pool, which is relatively economical. An Qingjue and Yunluo had lunch here on the first day. An Qingjue ordered a kangaroo meat meal, while Yunluo ordered a crocodile meat meal.

Kangaroo meat looks and tastes a bit like beef. What's surprising is that although crocodile meat appears to have thick skin and flesh on the surface, its meat is actually very tender, a bit like fish.

The taste was very delicious. A few days later, An Qingju and Yunluo tasted another kind of meat that is unique to Australia - emu meat. Emu is a big bird that looks very beautiful, but the meat is old and hard and tastes very bad.

Cairns is a tourist city with a lot of souvenir shops. In addition to selling various small handicrafts and plush toys, these shops usually also sell lanolin and other things. Speaking of lanolin, it seems that most people who travel to Australia will buy some to bring back home. An Qingjue and Yunluo found that the ones sold in large supermarkets are the cheapest.

It's only 2 Australian dollars, while it costs about 4 Australian dollars in ordinary stores, and it's actually 7 Australian dollars in a store in Sydney's Chinatown that seems to mainly serve tour groups. The same is true for some other commodities, so even if you are participating in a group tour, it's best to go shopping in the supermarket if possible, and you can buy a lot of affordable things.

The city of Cairns is not big, and you can basically walk around it in one day. There is a large shopping mall on the west side of the city. An Qingjue and Yunluo went to the supermarket inside and bought some fruits and dried fruits to take back to the hotel. The vegetables, fruits and various meats there are very fresh, and compared to the average Australian salary of 3,000 to 4,000 Australian dollars per month, it is still very cheap.

Macadamia nuts --- a specialty of Australia --- Yunluo's favorite. They are so delicious and come in many flavors: abalone, honey, mustard, salt-baked, spicy, etc., making people unable to stop eating.

If you ask what is the most important thing you can't miss when you go to Australia, Yunluo thinks it must be the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest and longest coral reef in the world, one of the seven major natural landscapes in the world, and the most important reason why An Qingju and Yunluo chose Australia for this trip. It is said that you go to Cairns to see the Great Barrier Reef, but in fact the Great Barrier Reef covers a large area.

It is 2011 kilometers long and 161 kilometers wide at its widest point. The closest point to the coast is only 16 kilometers away, while the farthest point is more than 241 kilometers away. The part farther from the coast can be called the outer barrier reef, while the relatively closer part can be called the inner barrier reef. In general, the outer barrier reef is farther from the coast and has relatively better scenery, making it particularly suitable for diving.

An Qingju and Yunluo first chose to take the Quicksilver to visit the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The Quicksilver's pier is in Port Douglas, about an hour's drive from Cairns.

Since An Qingju and Yunluo had already booked a one-day tour on the first day, the travel company's bus picked them up at the hotel at the agreed time, and then went to other hotels to pick up other tourists. Soon the bus was full.

An Qingju and Yunluo also set off towards Port Douglas. There was a section of coastal road, and the scenery outside was particularly beautiful when looking out the right window. Unfortunately, An Qingju and Yunluo sat on the left side when they went there. They wanted to take some beautiful photos on the way back, but the driver changed the route when they went back.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

The one-day tour chosen by An Qingju and Yunluo costs 189 Australian dollars per person, including drinks, buffet lunch, snorkeling, and semi-submersible boat fees. If you want to take a helicopter to see the Great Barrier Reef from the air, you need to pay a separate fee of 150 Australian dollars per person, and you must hurry to find the staff to make a reservation after boarding the boat. If you are late, you may not be able to get a number.

To take a helicopter, you need to take the small boat next to it to another separate platform not far away. The staff on the boat will give tourists a simple safety training, mainly saying that you must not approach the helicopter from the tail, otherwise you may be caught in the propeller.

From time to time, schools of fish passed by the semi-submersible boat, and there were also a few cute sea turtles, but unfortunately I couldn't take photos of them. In fact, if you want to truly appreciate the charm of the underwater world, it is best to go diving. No matter how good the photos are, they can't give you the wonderful feeling of being among the fish and getting close to the beautiful corals.

An Qingju and Yunluo traveled thousands of miles to Cairns, so how could they only visit the Great Barrier Reef for one day? So on the third day in Cairns, An Qingju and Yunluo boarded the Great Adventures to visit Green Island. Green Island is one of the many small islands in the Great Barrier Reef. Of course, there are beautiful corals around it, and the white sand beach of Green Island is also very charming, making it a very suitable destination for snorkeling.

The price for a day trip to Green Island is 109 Australian dollars per person, including: snorkeling, punt, Green Island sightseeing, drinks, and buffet lunch.

An Qingju and Yunluo spent most of their time snorkeling at the beach on Green Island. Unfortunately, they didn't have a diving camera, so they could only keep the beautiful underwater world in their memories. In fact, there is a large tropical rainforest on Green Island, where you can choose to walk. In addition, there is a hotel on Green Island. If you like it here, you might as well arrange to stay for a few days. (To be continued...)
