In a country so far away from my own culture, the way of eating, dressing, living and traveling is unfamiliar, so this series is almost all captured with a card camera! They are all life experiences that I have never experienced before!

About "food": Yunluo stayed in a youth hostel next to the Zocalo Square in the center of Mexico City. Like most other youth hostels, this one also provides free breakfast. However, the taste of this breakfast is very suitable for Yunluo's taste: ham scrambled eggs, jam bread, and two kinds of fruits: watermelon and papaya. I didn't expect to have such a friendly breakfast in such a remote place. I was really happy!

Of course, unlike the hotel breakfast buffet, everything here is really done by yourself. The bread is not even unpacked - you take it yourself and bake it yourself. Only the amount of fruit and ham scrambled eggs will be controlled by a waiter.

This is the small breakfast room of the youth hostel. Although it is old, it is clean and tidy.

So, what do you eat outside the hotel? When you pass a small town on the way to the pyramids by bus, the driver will let some vendors sell things. Yunluo actually bought a fruit ice that he would never buy in China - because he was too thirsty.

The biggest challenge of eating out is not being able to understand the menu in Spanish. And the locals can speak English even less than in China.

So Yunluo blindly ordered something from the menu. It was a medium to high-priced dish, so it must be a local specialty. This is what it looked like when it was served. There was chicken sprinkled with cheese on top, and cornmeal with sauce on the bottom. He ate it without thinking.

So Yunluo took a picture of the entire menu of this small restaurant with his camera. He translated the menu when he returned home, so that he could be more prepared next time.

Of course, if you want, there are all kinds of spicy ingredients: onions, fried peppers, and green pepper sauce. The store recommended a popular local drink. It tasted like watered-down flavors. The next day, we went to a restaurant that looked better.

The boss seemed to know a little more English and recommended one of their specialties. It looked better when it came out - beef, vegetables, etc.

Of course, I still wrapped it up in a tortilla and ate it. After two tortillas, Yunluo was full. On the third day, when I went to the free market, I found a street stall surrounded by many people. I went in and saw that it was selling sandwiches.

The proprietress received Yun Luo warmly and made room for him to sit on a stool and eat. Although it was hard to tell what was in the food, he had to admit that it was the most delicious local food Yun Luo had ever tasted.

Not far from the hotel, Yunluo found a Chinese buffet. After eating so many strange Mexican "meals" that she couldn't even name for so many days, Yunluo felt like she was seeing a relative from afar when she saw Chinese food, and she almost burst into tears.

A year later, Yunluo had forgotten how much a meal here cost, but it should be around RMB 12. Large pieces of chicken, fish, and barbecued pork, as well as a total of 20 or so dishes to choose from, all-you-can-eat, were very cost-effective even in China.

When paying the bill, I chatted with the cashier who looked Chinese. It seemed like they had been there for a long time.

About "Living":

Let's talk about accommodation. The youth hostel where Yunluo stayed was a four-story building. As usual, if you want the specific address, you can leave your email address below and Yunluo will send it to your email address.

The reception desk was decorated with a Christmas atmosphere. There was a lot of information about tours, including short day tours and two-day tours. The staff was quite enthusiastic.

Once again, I would like to remind you that youth hostels generally do not have elevators (of course, the one I stayed in in Rome is an exception. I will introduce the amazing elevator of that hostel to you later when I post about Rome). So before checking in, think about whether you can carry your luggage to the fourth floor.

Yunluo booked a single room. Single rooms in youth hostels are just that simple.

In underdeveloped countries, the price of a single room in a youth hostel is not necessarily much cheaper than a hotel below three stars. And hotels at least have elevators and toilets. Therefore, Yunluo often recommends staying in a dormitory in a youth hostel in countries with high prices, and if the economy allows in underdeveloped countries, you should consider staying in a hotel.

Youth charity is usually equipped with computers with internet access, but generally speaking, there are few computers and they are often broken or unable to access the internet. So don't hold your hopes too high.

The bathrooms in youth hostels are all shared. Caballeros means "men", which is a long word. The bathroom in this hotel is quite clean, with five sinks and more than ten showers. Hot water seems to be always available.

About “行”: Finally, let’s talk about 行.

Mexico City's subway has plenty of routes, basically enough for travel needs. Interestingly, each station on the sign inside the subway car is represented by a local abstract pattern. Is it because there are many illiterate people in Mexico?

As mentioned before, I had to passively learn some Spanish here. The Spanish on the menu has nothing to do with English, but the place names seem to have more to do with it. The two above are easier to guess: direccion is only one letter different from the English word direction, and universidad is not far from the English word university, so this road sign means: Direction: University, haha!

Everyone should remember: salida means exit. Finally, let's take a look at the local long-distance bus station, which is similar to the one in China.

This Richmond hotel features a marina, free Wi-Fi and a daily breakfast buffet. It offers a shuttle service to Vancouver International Airport and a free 24-hour local area shuttle. Downtown Vancouver is 6 miles away.

This is a regular transit hotel, nothing special to talk about, it is equivalent to a 4-star hotel in China. You will not be disappointed at first sight. The hotel is a bit low-key under the blue sky, and a lot of space is occupied by countless green plants.

Compared with the hotel highway in the distance, the sky rails that pass from time to time, and the large tracts of open land, the hotel seems a little vast.

When you leave the airport, there is a waiting room for the airport hotel. You just need to recognize the logo of the hotel you booked and get on the bus. The enthusiastic hotel driver will carefully help you carry your luggage and will also have a signature smile. If you go back and forth between the airport and the hotel frequently, it is best to prepare a small tip for them on the last day. The hotel provides shuttle service to Vancouver International Airport and 24-hour free local shuttle service.

Unlike domestic airport hotels, Delta is much better than expected. The hotel lobby is not actually very big, it feels small and cozy, and usually there is light music playing. The furniture in the lobby is brightly colored, making the slightly low-key appearance lively all of a sudden, and the fatigue from the airport will disappear with natural relaxation. Marble floors, sheared carpets, neutral-toned walls and fabrics are simple and generous. Guests in groups of three or two will sit on the sofa to chat or discuss various travel guides.

Time flows, space is not easy. The hotel room is relatively simple, with a large bed occupying most of the room. Sleep is really important here. After getting rid of their fatigue, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo, who came from the capital, really needed such a sleep.

But after tidying himself up, Yunluo still habitually looked at the scenery outside the window. The unfamiliar environment, the little excitement, and the blue sky and white clouds that were more real than imagined, this is Vancouver. To be honest, I still want to go out for a walk. I can't bear to sleep when the weather is good. However, the body never lies. After watching for a few minutes, Yunluo was attracted by the soft bed. After landing, there was nothing more attractive than a good sleep.

After 3 hours of sleep, I woke up. My body was rejuvenated and I wanted to go out for a walk. The hotel is really small, and five minutes is enough to walk around. Delta Airport Vancouver Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a gym. The hotel provides services including bicycle rental, car rental, laundry facilities and room service. There is indeed an outdoor swimming pool, but because the weather is a bit cold, and it is such an afternoon, no one is swimming in the pool, but there is a young couple playing chess next to them, a huge game. They are having a lot of fun, and they also enthusiastically invite Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo to play with them, but Yunluo and Nalan Shiqi are really average, and they lost several games in a row, which made the lady very happy.

After saying goodbye to them, Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo decided to walk to a path farther away. It was a quiet and pleasant evening. Although there were planes and vehicles flying overhead, the river, green plants, and foreigners riding bicycles passing by in groups of three or two made people feel relaxed.

Of course, it can also be simply summarized as other people's dusk is very touching. It is true that in China there is not much time to quietly wait for the sunset. People in the city always laugh at themselves and say that they are too busy.

Yunluo thought that not everyone would be willing to walk out of the hotel and watch the sunset in a foreign country leisurely like Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo, because there was really no one else on this road.

It is hard to imagine that this hotel, which reminds you how close it is to the airport, has such a passionate blooming of flowers and grass on the path not far away. It always gives Yunluo all kinds of reasons to sigh about the beauty of autumn. (To be continued...)
