Chapter 1268: Kowtow

I forgot where I was walking to, but there was a relatively spacious alley. From the signboards, I could feel the obvious Japanese style. This street is dedicated to Japanese business. There were groups of ladies standing on both sides soliciting customers. Since Yunluo didn't patronize them, I was embarrassed to look at them directly... After experiencing other people's rich nightlife, Yunluo and An Chuyu took a taxi and left.

It is not as difficult to get a taxi in Bangkok as I read in the guide. There are many meter taxis on the street, and most of them are metered. Saduak Floating Market - Maeklong Railway Market - Terminal 21 - Kim Dong Ni This was a day I was quite worried about because Damnoen Saduak and Maeklong are far from Bangkok, and I was afraid I would not be able to find the way if I went there by myself.

But after studying many guides, I decided to go by myself because I was poor...Take a taxi to the monument (there are two monuments in Bangkok, this one is the Victory Monument station on the Payathai side, you can also take the BTS), there are many stations near the monument, but not every one of them can go to Damnoen Saduak and Mae Klong.

After going down the stairs on the right side of BTS Exit 4, walk forward and turn left to see a minibus station. There is a driver sitting at the door. If you ask him about Damnoen Saduak floating market, he will take you in to buy a ticket. It is a minibus with more than 10 seats, 90b/person. It was supposed to leave at 8 o'clock, but it left because it was full.

There was no traffic jam on the road, and the ride took about an hour and a half. People would get off the bus one after another on the way. Maeklong was the second to last stop, and those going to Damnoen Saduak just had to sit until the end. After getting off the bus, someone would come up and ask you to buy a boat ticket, 2000b/hour/boat (written on the banner), and a boat could take up to 8 people.

At that time, only Yunluo, An Chuyu and another couple of tourists arrived at Damnoen Saduak, so the four of them had to share the price, 500b each. (I don't know if it's possible to bargain, because it was another couple who asked Yunluo and An Chuyu to rent a boat together. I didn't react and just agreed...)

I guess if you go earlier, you can find more people to share the boat... The goods are mostly handicrafts and souvenirs, and there are also snacks (barbecue, grilled bananas, ice cream, fruits, etc.). The shopkeepers on the riverside will use hooks to hook you over and let you see his goods with an expectant look. There will be times when the boat is jammed when you get to crowded places, and this is when it feels like a floating market.

There are at least three or four types of boats in the river. The one Yunluo and Anchuyu used was powered by a motor propeller. Some were rowed by hand, and some were powered by a motor but were bigger than the one Yunluo and Anchuyu used. I don’t know where the others were found, or how much they cost… Some people say that the Damnoen Saduak floating market is a rip-off, but Yunluo thinks that it’s just to experience the feeling of sitting on a boat and strolling around the market.

After about an hour, the boat took Yunluo and Anchuyu back to the place where they started, which was where the minibus got off. The ticket agent asked Yunluo and Anchuyu to buy tickets at a nearby coffee shop, but the owner of the coffee shop said that if they wanted to take a bus to Mae Klong, it would cost 100b/person. Otherwise, they could take a bus to Damnoen Saduak.

The boss was very nice and drew a map for Yunluo and An Chuyu to walk to Damnoen Saduak City to take the bus. Yunluo and An Chuyu followed the map for about 20 minutes and finally found the blue bus the coffee shop owner mentioned. There was a market nearby. It felt very local. Grilled bananas on the roadside, 5b each.

The blue bus seems to be route 467, but there are different routes. Ask the people before getting on the bus. I forgot whether the fare was 10b or 20b. There is no station announcement on the bus. I suggest you use Google to determine your location, or look at the road and get on the road when you see the railway and related signs.

Walking along the railway, you will find the railway market. The railway is not very long and you can walk it in a few minutes. At the end is the railway station. I looked at the timetable and found that the train would arrive at 13:45. There are still nearly 2 hours... There are one or two restaurants near the railway station. There are fans inside, so it is relatively cool. Since I was not very hungry, I just ordered a mango sticky rice and a glass of watermelon juice.

I sat and waited for the train to arrive. I felt embarrassed to sit for too long, so I walked around the railway again. When I got back to the train station, I found that the train was late! It would arrive at 2:30! I had to wait for more than half an hour! At this time, more and more tourists came, probably to see the train at a good time. I suggest that you understand the train schedule before going, so as not to wait as long as Yunluo and An Chuyu did.

There will be a broadcast before the train is about to enter the station. At this time, you must quickly find a good cover and a good shooting position. Before the train arrives, the stall owners begin to pack up their stalls. The train is coming. The train 88 quickly returns to its original appearance. The things in the market may not be suitable for tourists. It only takes a few minutes for the train to pass, but Yunluo estimates that if it is not in this railway market.

Yunluo will not have the opportunity to be so close to the moving train. The train will pass by you at a distance of about 30cm. After watching the train, Yunluo and An Chuyu quickly rushed to the minibus station back to Bangkok. The location is not far from the left turn after exiting the railway. 70b/person back to the monument. There was a little traffic jam on the way back, but it was not serious. It was not even five o'clock when they arrived in Bangkok.

The monument seems to be quite busy, and there are many ghost stalls where you get off the bus. Three days ago, Yunluo made an online reservation for the Dream Package at the LetsRelaxTerminal21 store. It was said that payment should be made first, but the page prompted that payment should be made after the review was completed. Since I don't have the habit of checking emails, it didn't contact Yunluo by phone.

So when Yunluo saw the payment email, she found that the reservation had expired... She could only call another branch and make an appointment for tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. (Terminal 21 does not accept telephone reservations, but other branches may not accept telephone reservations.) Although she could not go as planned; Let's Relax, she still went to Terminal 21 to have a look.

Exit 1 of BTS Asoke Station, and you will find Terminal 21. It is actually a large shopping mall, famous for its unique decoration. I was not in the mood to go shopping, so I thought it was just like that. However, the coconut ice cream in the food court on the 5th floor is delicious, much better than the one in Khao San Road.

Since I saw that Naraya at Discovery (BTSsiam Station) was 40% off online, I traveled a long way to check it out. Although not all stores were discounted, I still chose one. It is said that Discovery is closed for renovation. Dinner was at the food court on the 5th floor of MBK.

MBK doesn't seem to have much to see. The food was ok, but I ordered something like coconut milk soup, which was awful. It was sour, like yogurt soup... After eating, I rushed to the Kim Dong Ni Cabaret Show. Since Siam is basically congested, it's better to take the Skytrain and then the subway. The Skytrain and subway are so expensive. If there is no traffic jam, I would rather take a taxi...

I went back to Btsasoke and transferred to MRT, and got off at Sutthisan. Since I was in a hurry and didn't know the way, I took a taxi to get in. Actually, I booked a VIP seat on Taobao a day in advance, 39 RMB per person, in the middle of the second row, but when I got in, it had already been ten minutes, and the space there was very narrow, and people couldn't walk through after sitting down.

So I just sat down in the front row... The ladyboys are really good-looking, tall and good-looking, but they are all made up, so it's hard to say what they look like without makeup... The ladyboy show is really just a show of ladyboys. The performances are all lip-synced, and everyone knows what the sound would be if they were real... There are also some skits, which are very funny, but the content is a bit inappropriate for children.

There were many Chinese aunties in the venue. Yunluo estimated that they were all green with envy... It is recommended that men should not sit in the first two rows, as they will be caught to make cameo appearances. The content of the cameo appearances is very exciting... The performance quality is actually average. The actors themselves will laugh, but 39 yuan is just to see a transvestite. So I didn't buy the Calypso, which costs more than 100 yuan, and I guess the quality will be better...

It is said that after the performance, the transvestites would grab the audience to take photos and ask for tips. When they were puzzled that no transvestites came out to look for Yunluo and An Chuyu after the stage ended and the lights were turned off, they went out to see that "they" had occupied the door. Yunluo and An Chuyu, who wanted to slip away from the side, were also captured by the transvestites. Their phones were taken away directly.

Two beauties grabbed Yunluo and An Chuyu, and one was responsible for taking pictures. When they grabbed Yunluo and An Chuyu, they felt like men! They were forced to take pictures! After taking pictures, they asked Yunluo and An Chuyu for a tip, 100b each (the ticket office indicated that the tip for taking pictures was 40b). Yunluo flipped through her coin purse and said that she didn't have that much change, so she gave them 5 20b bills.

She even wanted to look through Yunluo's wallet. She almost took the 50b note that was left inside... Actually, it's okay to give a little tip when taking photos with the transsexuals, but Yunluo was not even given the chance to choose which one to take a photo with, and the photos were a little shaky and unclear, which made people feel a little unhappy...

We returned to Siam with a full load. We packed up our things and checked out in the morning. We took our luggage to the Sukhumvit branch of LetsRelax for a massage. This shop is not very crowded and reservations can be made by phone (probably because the location is relatively remote). Yunluo and An Chuyu took the BTS and got off at Phrompong Station. They walked until they were exhausted, so they decided to take a taxi...

It's really far to walk from the BTS station, so I suggest you take a taxi directly... Although the price of let'srelax is higher than many massage shops, the environment is good, it feels more professional, the service is good, and they also gave me a mango sticky rice after the massage, which was delicious. The dream package includes massage of hands, feet, shoulders and back, which lasts about 1.5 hours and costs 850b/person.

Then I went to Siam for shopping. I took a taxi from Sukhumvit to Central World Plaza and finally found the deposit place, but it turned out that I was not allowed to deposit luggage, only bags... I had to carry a bunch of things to the supermarket on the first floor of Siamparagon, and finally I could deposit them.

After saving, I went shopping in Siam shopping district, mainly Naraya and BigC, because I had a lot of souvenirs to buy, and I spent half a day in these two places, so I didn't have time to find the Four-Faced Buddha. If you like shopping or need to bring a lot of souvenirs, it is best to leave at least one day, so you have more time and don't have to rush.

The Grand Palace is a very important tourist attraction and the first stop of the Thailand itinerary. There is a Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the Grand Palace. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the three national treasures of Thailand. There are dress requirements for entering, and you must take off your shoes before entering. (Note: The ticket for the Grand Palace is a package ticket, which can visit 3 attractions, in addition to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

You can also visit the Teak Palace [the Teak Palace is just behind the old Parliament Building], so be sure to keep your ticket.) The milk here is very dried, and drinking a bottle is basically enough to make you full. There are too many tourists in the Grand Palace, and taking a photo without people is considered a good photo. There are a lot of Chinese people visiting the Grand Palace, and many of them come with tour groups.

I felt that 80% of the people there were Chinese. They spoke all kinds of dialects, haha. (It seemed that I couldn't be completely sure which country they were from there, so I mainly relied on the language they spoke to analyze it.) After leaving the Grand Palace, I went to Wat Arun. The stairs of Wat Arun were very steep, and each step was steeper than the last. I met two Chinese friends here.

(It's so steep, it feels like it's almost 90 degrees vertical.) You can see the Grand Palace across the Chao Phraya River. When Yunluo was walking down the stairs, he heard several Asians talking. The woman said, "There's an Asian person ahead." The man said, "This person is well-equipped. Let her (Yunluo) take a photo." Then the woman said to Yunluo, "please help us take a photo."

Yunluo thought they probably didn't realize she was Chinese, so she took the camera and said, "You guys are Taiwanese, right?" Because their accents had a Taiwanese tone. They were also excited and said they finally had someone who could speak Chinese. They were probably traveling independently, one man and three women, and they looked pretty and familiar.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

After leaving Wat Arun, we went to the Old Parliament Building and the Teak Palace. Since these two places are together, you can visit them for free within 7 days with the Grand Palace ticket. You are not allowed to take photos inside, so we can only see the exterior. The first day's itinerary is over. Although a little tired, I still had a lot of fun.

The next day, we went to Wat Pho first. There were far fewer Chinese people in the temple, but there were many Japanese and Koreans. Wat Pho is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, and it is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. There is a big Buddha lying on the altar in the temple, which is one of the largest reclining Buddhas in the world.

There is a small counter for changing coins on site. You can take 20b and change it into 10-cent Thai baht coins. It is said that putting coins into the bowl can ensure safety and make your wishes come true. Yunluo also threw a coin into the bowl. The crisp and loud sound it made felt particularly good. (The Reclining Buddha Temple also has requirements for clothing. Take off your shoes before entering. I didn't take pictures of the reclining Buddha inside.)

I had a masachi near the Reclining Buddha Temple. Thai massage was very painful, but the massage on the head was quite comfortable. After the massage, my body fatigue was reduced a little. The following picture was adjusted by Yunluo, and the other pictures were basically untouched, in order to preserve the most realistic feeling. After leaving the Reclining Buddha Temple, I went to the National Museum. There were too many religious themes.

In addition, Yunluo and An Chuyu walked too much. They were getting more and more tired, so they left after a short while. They left the museum and went to Chinatown. Chinatown was like the Sihai City in the 1980s, with many gold shops. It was nice to eat here. After arriving in Chinatown, the second day's itinerary ended.

This drink is delicious, but the best is this freshly squeezed juice. Pomegranate juice, super delicious. On the third day of free walking, Yunluo and An Chuyu decided to walk to the Grand Palace and took some photos of the scenery around the Grand Palace. In Thailand, elephants are their "sacred animals" and many sculptures are based on elephants.

We fed pigeons and squirrels on the way. They are not afraid of people and we can often see them. Here is a picture of a bus in front of the Demok Hotel. The trip to Khao San Road is over. The New Orleans-style roasted pig ears at the roadside stall are super delicious. One is only RMB 10. The New Orleans flavor is delicious.

Add the meat and cartilage of the ear and the taste is amazing! In a foreign country, practical mobile apps are very necessary. Don't ignore it. This is what Yunluo downloaded specifically for traveling to Thailand. Among them, Google Maps is the most useful. Yunluo and An Chuyu relied on it to walk to the Grand Palace.

Google Maps is a must-have tool for traveling abroad! (Google Maps seems to be only available for download and use abroad, free of charge.) On the fourth day, I flew to Phuket. I found that the planes of Thai Nok Air are very cute, decorated like birds, and there are many styles. The Asiri Hotel booked in Patong Beach is very good.

The price-performance ratio is very high. The location, service, and room facilities are all very good. There are also many food stalls, restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping places nearby. It makes people feel very happy just staying here. The first day's itinerary was Phi Phi Island. We took a speedboat with the group. It was very bumpy. I had to take a seasickness pill before going.

Passing by Egg Island, we fed the bird's nest cave of Phi Phi Island with bread. Maya Bay (Little Phi Phi Island), the filming location of the movie "The Beach", the local long-tail boat Yunluo took the captain's boat away. The next day's itinerary was Emperor Island. Emperor Island was incredibly beautiful, and the sea was very blue. To get on the boat, you need to walk on this floating board, which was washed up and down by the waves and was unstable.

Yunluo took the above photos despite the risk of being shaken into the sea. On the third day, we went to Phang Nga Bay. This time we did not take a speedboat, but a large boat, which was relatively stable. Because we signed up for an English tour, there were many foreigners. Although Phang Nga Bay was not the most beautiful place in the itinerary, it was indeed the most fun.

We took kayaks twice. Yunluo and Anchu met the "captain" who was a good-looking couple. The handsome guy and his handsome friend, he even had a Chinese character "dragon" tattooed on his hand. The little handsome guy is a happy family of five. The important attraction of Phang Nga Bay, "Dabaicai", is the filming location of the movie "007". Two islands like little elephants. Clouds like Einstein. (To be continued...)
