Chapter 980: Miss Her

The distance from Melbourne to Hobart is not far. Food and entertainment on the plane are charged, but in fact they are not much more expensive than on the street. After about 75 minutes of flight, An Qingju and Yunluo finally set foot on the land of Tasmania.

Tasmania is the only island state in Australia, with an area of about 67,800 square kilometers. Forty percent of its area is listed as national parks and nature reserves. It has rich natural resources that attract countless tourists.

In order to protect its animals and plants from outside influence, all meat, fruits, etc. cannot be brought to the island. Hobart is the second largest ancient city in Australia after Sydney, with a population of about 200,000. It is surrounded by Mount Wellington on three sides, and a large number of colonial sites are preserved in the town.

After exiting the airport, I crossed the road and headed straight to Hertz. There were quite a lot of people renting cars today, so I had to wait in line for a while. The car rental process here is a little different from Melbourne. If there are multiple drivers, everyone's driver's license information must be entered into the computer, so the uncle typed for a long time on the keyboard.

Finally, the uncle told An Qingjue and Yunluo that the Camry was no longer available, so he replaced it with a Rukus2.4 of the same level. This car is not available in China, and it looks a bit like the Great Wall Cool Bear. The car is quite new, but it is a bit difficult to fit the luggage of four people.

So, I went back to the counter to argue and finally got the upgrade to Aurion. This car is not available in China. It is actually a large-displacement sports version of Camry, with slightly different appearance and interior, equipped with a 4.0v6 engine (the ones on sale have been changed to 3.5v6).

This car is more relaxed in power output than the previous Camry, especially when driving on mountain roads. But if you want to find passion, it may be a bit difficult. The suspension of this car is still tuned for comfort, and I tried flooring the accelerator twice on the road: put the car in S gear, step on the accelerator, and wait for a second before the engine starts to roar.

But the acceleration is still relatively gentle. It's not easy to feel the push back, I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that this car has already run 70,000 kilometers.

After chatting about the car for a while, I quickly got back to the topic. It was already past eleven o'clock when I got the car, so I decided to go to an oyster farm very close to the airport for lunch. This restaurant has been mentioned by many netizens, called as7170, and its biggest feature is oysters.

Oysters are a delicacy you must experience when you come to Australia, and Tasmania is one of the best oyster producing areas in Australia. Although I have tried it on the Great Ocean Road, I am more looking forward to this meal today.

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was not yet business hours, so we wandered around the restaurant for a while.

Looking back now, Yunluo thinks this is the best oyster. I never encountered the method of adding green onions again in the subsequent trip. The only drawback is that the waiters here are not so enthusiastic. <, so An Qingju and Yunluo decided to go to Richmond, a small town 27 kilometers northeast of Hobart. It was once a strategic military fortress and prisoner detention station, and now has a population of about 750.

Park the car on the side of the road and walk along the road to the Richmond Bridge built in 1823. The river under the bridge flows quietly, and there are large green areas on both sides of the river. Residents walking their dogs pass by from time to time. In addition to the sound of flowing water, birdsong and happy laughter in the air, the beauty here makes people intoxicated.

On the other side of the river, there was a grassy slope where the children were keen to roll down. An Qingjue and Yunluo couldn't help but join in the fun. When they got tired, they would rest on the grass.

Since An Qingjue and Yunluo's movements are not so graceful, here are some photos of the children. I can't help but say here that if you come to Hobart, don't miss this beautiful town.

After leaving Richmond, we arrived at the residence of An Qingju and Yunluo at about 3 o'clock. It is located in Clovelly House in Rosebay, a B&B. B&B is the abbreviation of bed & breakfast, which is synonymous with family hotel. Living under the same roof with the owner here can let you experience more local customs and practices.

An Qingjue and Yunluo parked the car in the yard. After knocking on the door a few times but no one answered, they pushed open the door to look for the owner. As soon as they opened the door, they were greeted by the aroma of baking cakes. On such a sunny afternoon, it was really intoxicating. The hostess Fei (unknown English spelling) came out and greeted them and moved the luggage into the room.

After coming out of the room, everyone had a happy expression on their faces. This place was even more satisfying than An Qingjue and Yunluo. The interior of the house was warm in color, the furniture and furnishings were simple but tasteful, and the carpets, bedding, and towels were of excellent quality. The courtyard outside was 2,000 square meters and was trimmed open and neatly.

An Qingjue and Yunluo were chatting enthusiastically when the hostess invited them to have afternoon tea. English afternoon tea is a standard service in many B&Bs, and the host will prepare hot tea, milk, bread and other food for the guests to enjoy.

So An Qingjue and Yunluo came to the most mentioned Octagon House for tea, and two friends from Melbourne came, Jay and his wife. A group of people ate and talked in the Octagon House, and An Qingjue and Yunluo decided not to go into the city in the afternoon, and spend a few more hours here.

The pointer pointed to six o'clock. At this time, most places in the city no longer require parking fees, so I drove into the city to find a Chinese restaurant mentioned in the guide. This restaurant called "Zhe Mian Fan" is located next to MayfairPlazaMotel. The rice bowl and fried noodles tasted good. The total cost was $47.9.

After dinner, we went to the nearby pier for sightseeing. Since the pier parking lot is free after 8 o'clock, we parked the car on the road very close to the pier and walked to the pier. After buying a parking ticket from the parking meter, we put it in front of the windshield. The latest parking time for this ticket is until 8 o'clock.

Although we did not stay in Hobart for too long this time, the historical buildings that can be seen everywhere in this city are not only well-preserved, but also have a harmonious and unified architectural style, without too much damage from modern buildings. It is Yunluo's favorite city on this trip.

Today's journey is about 300km, which is the longest driving mileage for An Qingju and Yunluo so far. In the morning, after having breakfast in the octagonal house, my friend's ld gave me a gift prepared in advance - window paper-cuts.

They also left the book "Little Bean and Little Beans" bought at the Capital Airport to the hostess. After taking a last look at the beautiful house, An Qingjue and Yunluo drove onto the Tasman Bridge, crossed the city of Hobart, and headed towards their destination.

When we drove along Brooker Highway and turned onto the bridge to Bridgewater, we were all surprised to see countless black swans living in the river on both sides. We quickly parked the car not far from the shore. The water surface was slightly rippled at this time, and the swans were on the calm water far from the shore.

After a while, we decided to continue along the B10 road, which has better scenery. Unexpectedly, within 10 minutes, a large number of black swans appeared on the water surface by the road again, and they were closer to the shore than before. There was a group of swans "walking" on the water surface, a family of seven, which was particularly conspicuous.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

This place is far away from the mainstream road and there is no noise. The calls of swans sound like the sound of nature. It is perfect to watch the swans here.

Not far from here, An Qingju and Yunluo stopped at a roadside kiosk again. An old lady dressed in a proper manner, wearing Burberry glasses, was selling homegrown fruits on the roadside. Tasmanian cherries, apricots, and tomatoes all looked so tempting.

Let's have some of each. I highly recommend big cherries and apricots. Cherries are bright purple and cost $7 per kilogram, which is half the price of similar varieties in Beijing, but tastes much better. Apricots are also very good, so good that I don't know how to describe it, haha!

We ate fruits and listened to songs on the way, and we couldn't help but sigh, "Look at what a farmer he is!" At about noon, we passed the small town of Newnorfolk, which is located beside the Derwent River and looks beautiful and quiet.

We drove onto Lyell Highway and saw pastures on both sides. When we drove to Gretna, we spotted black swans on the water by the road again. Although there were fewer black swans than last time, they were closer to the shore. We stopped here and captured the beautiful moment.

Leaving the ouse, the road begins to go through the woods between the mountains. (To be continued...)
