Chapter 125 Lu Yufeng and Chen Ying

"Cousin," Su Xun greeted as the two approached.

The man behind Chen Ying suddenly realized, "Are you Xiao Xun?" His voice was filled with excitement, and a hint of surprise appeared on his gentle face, the frames of his glasses reflecting the light.

Su Xun thought the man looked familiar, but couldn't remember who he was. When he recognized her, she nodded blankly.

"I am Lu Yufeng. We played together when we were little. Do you remember me?"

Oh, it was him.

Su Xun nodded and smiled, "Of course I remember, it's been a long time."

Lu Yufeng is a nice guy, with a kind of older brother vibe. Of course, he used to be the leader among their group of kids, taking them around to play, so a relaxed expression appeared on his face.

“If you think about it, it’s been seven or eight years since we last saw each other. You’ve grown so much.” Lu Yufeng pushed up his glasses.

Chen Ying couldn't stand Lu Yufeng and Su Xun reminiscing in front of her. She was more interested in knowing who the unusual-looking man behind Su Xun was, so she interrupted them, "Who's that behind you?"

The handsome man stood behind Su Xun, half of his figure blending into the night, yet his aloof demeanor and exquisite features remained undeniable. Moreover, she had just witnessed the two of them getting out of that car that she could never afford in her entire life.

Seeing that everyone's attention was on Pei Ke, Su Xun took a step back and took the man's arm.

She smiled and said, "Weren't you curious about my boyfriend? He's right here in front of you now."

Pei Ke nodded to the man and woman standing in front of him as a greeting.

One sentence made Chen Ying wish she could bite off her own tongue; she should have known better than to ask.

This man was clearly different from people like them. She had originally thought that Su Xun had been unwilling to bring him out because he was actually quite ordinary, at most just a poor student.

Looking back now, my face really hurts.

I've been outdone again.

However, this time she was not as angry as she had been when she was outshone before. She turned around and looked at the gentle Lu Yufeng beside her, and a soft look appeared in her eyes.

She thought her brother Lu was the best in the world.

Moreover, that man seemed cold and aloof, unlike the considerate nature of my own family.

"Alright, it's getting late, let's go inside." Su Xun pulled his coat tighter, wondering why he had been chatting with people outside for so long.

Lu Yufeng nodded. "It's quite late. Let's go home first."

The four of them walked together to the bottom of their apartment building and said goodbye to each other.

"Alright, you should go back now. Remember to let me know when you get home." Su Xun released Pei Ke's hand and looked up at the man who was a head taller than her.

"Okay, get some rest, goodnight." He reached out and ruffled the girl's hair; it was so soft, and his eyes were filled with tenderness.

Seeing this, Chen Ying tugged at Lu Yufeng's sleeve and said coquettishly, "No, I want you to say goodnight to me too."

Lu Yufeng had no choice but to comply, and smiled helplessly.

He remembered that Chen Ying had always loved to compare herself with Su Xun since she was a child, almost to the point of obsession. When a group of children played games together, they would always try to determine a winner, and it was always Chen Ying who would insist on dragging others into the comparison.

However, he knew that Chen Ying was just more competitive, and Su Xun had always been a well-behaved child in the family, liked by adults. As a child of the same age, it was normal for her to be unconvinced.

This subtle resentment actually made him seem cute.

Chen Ying suffered a lot of grievances when she liked him and chased after him. He thought he didn't like this kind of loud and boisterous girl, but he didn't expect to fall for her anyway.
