After listening to Su Xun's analysis, He Manli's expression gradually improved, and hope ignited in her eyes. She even found Su Xun more agreeable. She suppressed her joy and looked at Su Xun with a puzzled expression.

“I’ve been through this myself, I was in high school too, so I have more experience than you.” Su Xun raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Have you ever liked anyone before? I mean, back in high school?" she pressed urgently.
Looking at He Manli, whose eyes were filled with "interest," Su Xun gradually felt like chatting with her. Lately, he had been either in class or writing scripts and rarely talked to anyone.
"I didn't have a crush on anyone in high school, but I did have one in junior high."
When He Manli heard that she had a crush on someone in junior high school but lost him in high school, she imagined a series of tragedies in her mind, and her eyes unconsciously showed some sympathy.
"But we're together now." Su Xun could see the pity in the girl's eyes, and quickly explained so that she wouldn't overthink it.

"I didn't realize you'd actually confess your feelings to someone," He Manli couldn't help but tease. In her mind, Su Xun was the kind of model student that teachers always thought of.
"Of course, I still can't compare to you; you just kiss me directly."
"Hmph." She made two sounds from her throat.
The phone in his pocket vibrated twice, and Su Xun took it out.
"Who sent it? Was it Pei Ke?" He Manli asked with a gossipy look on her face.
Su Xun glanced at her phone; it was a message from the dorm group chat reminding her that the dorm was about to close.
She generously placed her phone on the table. "No, okay, it's already eleven o'clock. You should go to sleep. Don't forget your morning self-study at seven o'clock tomorrow."
He Manli glanced at it and asked, "Your dorm is locked, what are you going to do?"
"Who do you think I can't go back to my dorm because of?" Although she said that, she wasn't in a hurry. Pei Ke renewed the lease on the off-campus apartment for another year, and she would sometimes sleep there when she stayed late at the studio.
"Why don't you stay here today? I'd like to hear the rest of the story," He Manli suggested with a smile.
Although she hadn't liked Su Xun all these years, Su Xun hadn't done anything too outrageous. On the contrary, she was usually quite nice to her. Moreover, Su Xun could now help her resolve her emotional issues, so she decided to temporarily establish a peaceful coexistence with her.

He Manli, already dressed in her pajamas, stood at the door for a while before speaking softly, "I'm sorry, I was arguing with you before."
The sound was so faint that it could be ignored, but Su Xun still heard it clearly in the darkness.
