Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Dongfang Jin tried to find a way to open the door from inside, but to no avail. In anger, she pounded on the door.

Seeing this, Ren Dong comforted her, "Don't worry, since Jing Tao pushed you in, it means she's confident she can deal with that monster."

Dongfang Jin smiled. "Confident? You all saw that the monster has already transformed into human form. It's the most powerful monster. How can she deal with it alone!"

"Dongfang, calm down first," Su Mu comforted Dongfang Jin.

Dongfang Jin instantly flew into a rage, grabbing Su Mu by the collar. "If you hadn't insisted on coming to this place, she wouldn't have been in such danger!"

Ren Dong rushed forward, "Dongfang, please don't do this!"

Dongfang, seeing the two people in front of him, realized that this was not right and reluctantly let go.

Seeing that Dongfang had calmed down, Ren Dong also began to observe her surroundings and discovered that there was another large door deep inside.

Honeysuckle pointed to the door. "Are we going to go there again?"

The two looked in the direction Honeysuckle pointed and immediately stepped forward.

Su Mu went to the door and placed his hand on it, and the door opened.

What came into view was a huge sword.

The three stepped forward. The sword was pure black, with a tiger-like pattern wrapped around it, complete with fangs, which sent chills down one's spine.

Dongfang Jin looked at the evil creature and asked, "Is this what you wanted to take?"

Su Mu looked at the sword in front of him, recalling the times Jing Tao had saved them from danger. Now, Jing Tao was in danger again because of him. He slowly extended his right hand.

Honeysuckle grabbed her hands to stop her, saying, "Are you really going to take it? This thing looks very dangerous."

“Jing Tao is still out there, her fate unknown. I must take this to save her.” With that, Su Mu gripped the sword.

The moment Su Mu touched the sword, the surroundings suddenly darkened, and Ren Dong and Dongfang Jin disappeared from the vicinity.

Startled, Su Mu immediately released his sword. "Where am I?"

The sword in front of him suddenly transformed into a tiger-shaped monster that slowly approached Su Mu.

Su Mu immediately drew his sword and pointed it at the monster, asking, "What do you want to do?"

The monster shook its head and said, "You've finally come. I've come to bestow power upon you."

"So you're the one who led me here?"

"I am a Taotie sealed within this sword. No human or demon in this world can defeat me. Therefore, as long as you make a contract with me, you can use my power."

"A contract? What contract?"

"Every time you use me, I will drain your lifespan. But when your lifespan is exhausted, I will help you by taking the lifespans of others for your use. From then on, you will be the strongest human in the world."

"What are you talking about! I don't want to take away other people's lifespans!"

"You can take your time to think it over, but your friend might not be able to hold on much longer."

After he finished speaking, the image of Jing Tao and the monster appeared before Su Mu's eyes.

Having used up all of Jing Tao's twin swords, she fought the monster bare-handed.

All of Jing Tao's punches were dodged and blocked by the monster, clearly indicating that the monster was far more powerful than Jing Tao. Following Jing Tao's punches, the monster pulled her in front of it, threw her away with a back turn, and teleported back to her. It then kicked Jing Tao in the stomach, squatted down, grabbed her hair, and dragged her up. Jing Tao's kick towards the monster's body was also blocked. The monster then spun her around several times, dragging her by the leg, before throwing her away again. Jing Tao crashed into the wall and fell, but tried to get up again. The monster then stomped on her arm. At this point, Jing Tao was completely defenseless. The monster relentlessly tore at Jing Tao's arm with its foot. Blood was already flowing from Jing Tao's mouth. The monster calmly picked up the knife Jing Tao had dropped, then slowly approached her, stabbing her into her body. The scene abruptly ended.

Su Mu chased after her, repeatedly calling Jing Tao's name, "Jing Tao! Jing Tao! Damn it! Let me go! I have to save her!"

"Heh, you think you can take that?"

Looking at the monster in front of him, Su Mu wondered if he had no choice but to use the power of the monster he hated most to defeat another monster.

But there's no time left; if we don't go now, Jing Tao will definitely die!

Okay, I promise you.

The moment Su Mu uttered those words, the surroundings returned to normal.

Su Mu glanced at the two people beside him, then resolutely picked up his sword and ran towards the gate, with the other two following behind.

The door opened, and Jing Tao lay on the ground covered in blood, with the monster standing right beside her.

Su Mu stood in front of Jing Tao, raising his sword. "I've got this sword. Don't come any closer."

But the monster turned around dismissively and asked, "Her name is Jing Tao?"

Honeysuckle also stepped in front of Jing Tao, saying, "Yes, I advise you not to oppose us."

Hearing this, the monster turned to look at the sword and said to Su Mu, "You will regret this decision today."

Su Mu lost his confidence after being told this. He didn't know if his decision was right or wrong, but he could choose whether or not to use the sword.

The monster then said to Honeysuckle, "She won't die," and went to open the door for them.

Dongfang Jin helped Jing Tao up, carried her on her back, and quickly left the place.

Honeysuckle quickly followed.

Su Mu picked up Jing Tao's two knives, tucked them into his arms, and left.

The monster watched the four figures leave, recalling everything that had just happened.

Just as he plunged Jing Tao's knife into her heart, a familiar force blocked him.

"This is?"

He immediately drew his knife and threw it aside to examine it. He placed his right hand on Jing Tao's chest to sense it. This power actually belonged to him, but how could a human possibly use his power? Could it be...?

Although he had damaged the demon core a little, he had stopped immediately and was not in any danger.
