"Send food to the benefactor."
As they were talking, they had already walked out of the courtyard gate. Dou didn't know who the benefactor Chang Xixi was talking about, but since he was a benefactor, it was nothing to repay him with a bowl of porridge, so she didn't care.
People in the countryside get up early, and Chang Xixi met many villagers along the way. She greeted them one by one, which shocked everyone. After all, normally Chang Xixi, a rich lady, would not even look at them.
Chang Xixi quickly found the small shabby house that her second brother had mentioned when she reached the foot of the mountain. It was no exaggeration to say that it was a small shabby house.
The shabby little house had no courtyard, just one room, its doors and windows broken and hanging crookedly against the wall. A makeshift earthen stove sat on the left side of the house, without any protection from the elements. If it rained or snowed, the stove would be useless.
“Isn’t this too tragic?”
Chang Xixi frowned and pushed open the dilapidated door, but saw no one in the room and didn't know where Gu Rongyu had gone so early.
She put the bowl down, looked around the room with her hands behind her back, and seeing that no one had returned, she had to pick up some charcoal and write a few words on the table.
Little did she know that as soon as she left, the black shadow and Gu Rongyu jumped down from the beam.
The shadow quipped, "I thought it was a little thief, but I didn't expect it to be a little fox returning the favor."
Gu Rongyu stared at the word "Justice" on the table and fell into deep thought. The black shadow soon saw the words on it.
All I saw was the words "Must finish eating" written neatly on it, and the signature was "Chang Xixi".
The shadow found it even more amusing: "She actually ordered the young master to do this. I will throw away the bowl and porridge right now, and then go and teach her a lesson."
As he spoke, he swallowed and was about to pick up the bowl, but heard Gu Rongyu say coldly: "Put it there."
Although the porridge was left there, Gu Rongyu had no intention of touching it. However, this made Heiying very greedy. He thought Chang Xixi was the only interesting person in this village, or even in this city. He really wanted to try what the porridge sent by this wonderful person tasted like.
