0027 Rose

0027 Rose

"Miss Jiang, here are your flowers." The next day, as soon as Jiang Jifan arrived at the company, the receptionist pointed to a beautifully wrapped bouquet of roses on the table and said this to her.

"Thank you," she said with a smile, picked up the bouquet of roses, and looked at them as she walked away.

She counted them and found there were eleven red roses in total. She already had a guess in her mind, so she opened the handwritten card embedded in the roses and took a look.

"THE second day."

"Only roses are worthy of you."

The signature was indeed his.

“Only roses are worthy of you…” Jiang Jifan read the English on the card softly, and involuntarily lowered his eyes and smiled.

She lowered her head and smelled it; the rose fragrance was fresh and not overpowering, just the scent she liked.

The arrival of this bouquet of flowers brightened her mood, which had been somewhat dampened by work.

"Good morning, Sister Jiang." As soon as she entered the office, a department employee who came out of the break room with coffee greeted her as usual. When he saw the roses in her arms, he raised an eyebrow and exclaimed in surprise, "Oh, what's going on? You already have a suitor sending you flowers so early in the morning?"

Most of her colleagues in the office were having breakfast when they heard her exclamation and looked up at her.

"Eleven roses, the meaning of which is to love you for a lifetime." Another male colleague had just walked over from the printer and, seeing the flowers in her arms, said this casually.

The office erupted in a commotion again, with everyone demanding an explanation from her.

Jiang Jifan tapped his arm with the rose in her hand, annoyed. "Get back to your work!"

The truth eventually came out, and she couldn't be bothered to hide it anymore, so she frankly admitted, "As you can see, I'm in a relationship."

Those people got even more agitated, trying to find out information about her sudden boyfriend while demanding that he treat them to a meal.

"Who on earth is this person who can make our Sister Jiang bloom like an iron tree?" The department's comedian, a chubby little girl, held up her hand as if it were a microphone and asked exaggeratedly.

Jiang Jifan pondered for a moment, thought about the man's profession, and said with a smile, "He studied finance."

Seeing that they were still insisting that he treat them, and seemed determined not to give up, she raised an eyebrow helplessly and brushed them off with a single sentence: "Next time, maybe when there's another chance."

Seeing that they couldn't get any information out of her, the group gave up and slunk away.

Jiang Jifan casually placed the flowers on his desk, sat down, and turned on his computer.

After logging into the office software, she glanced at the incredibly vibrant roses on the desk, thought for half a minute, and then picked them up and took a picture.

"Thank you, I like it very much."

He called immediately after I sent it out.

Jiang Jifan glanced at the unlocked door, got up and closed it before answering the phone.

"Hello."

"Have you started working yet? Am I bothering you?" he asked cautiously over the phone.

"No, I just arrived at the company." She sat down and saw a colleague trying to knock on the door to come in, but stopped when they saw her answering the phone.

Jiang Jifan made a gesture to her, and her colleague immediately understood, nodded, and turned to leave.

She was a little unaccustomed to suddenly becoming lovers, and spoke very politely.

Tantai Qing tried to ease her discomfort: "You don't need to be so polite with me, Ji Fan."

"If you like, I'd like to give it to you every day."

She found it strange; wouldn't it be more appropriate to send flowers during the courtship period? Why was he doing the opposite?

Tantai Qing explained, "That would be too high-profile and might cause you trouble."

Things are different now; they're boyfriend and girlfriend, so there's no chance of misunderstanding.

Moreover, he had other intentions.

He really thought of everything for her. Jiang Jifan felt a warmth in her heart. She smiled and spun around in the swivel chair. After stopping, she said to him, "If you weren't the boss, you would be very suitable to be a risk controller. Your ability to control risks must be amazing."

The profession of risk controller tests one's foresight and ability to prevent problems before they occur, and he clearly possesses both.

He chuckled softly on the phone, "I'm a little surprised that I have such a high opinion of you."

Jiang Jifan grunted and teased him deliberately, "Then pretend I didn't say anything."

Tantai Qing clearly denied it, retorting, "No, I just heard it."

Jiang Jifan found him amusing and teased him a few more times before stopping. "Alright, I have to get busy now. You should get back to work too."

After she hung up the phone, Tantai Qing turned off her phone, still feeling unsatisfied.

He couldn't wait to see her.
