Gu Weiwei hung up the phone, took her things to the teahouse restroom, and changed into her newly bought dress.
After tidying up her hair in front of the mirror, she felt her face was too plain, so she took out her cosmetics from her bag and applied a light and elegant makeup before she was satisfied.
However, because of this delay, she managed to catch the evening rush hour when she finally set off again.
What should have been a half-hour drive turned into a traffic jam that lasted more than an hour.
Fu Hanzheng had already arrived at the banquet venue, but he didn't see her, so he called again.
"Not here yet?"
