Theon had to muster this massive amount of courage he himself didn’t know he have. He had to pull his thoughts back and into control, and settle his inner self so he could at least feel like he was still in his own body. He’s never met anyone whose gaze could make him think twice about when and how to take his next breath, and whose presence was almost making him fall on his knees.
So this was Raziah’s husband. Similar...yet different in so many ways.
"Pardon? What do you mean?" Prince Theon inquired, looking all innocent like he couldn’t comprehend what the question thrown at him was all about.
Aragon only took one step towards him, and Theon could already feel his defense falling apart rapidly, "No one acts stupid with me, I would tear you apart inside out, little by little," Aragon’s tone was still extremely low, and held this solid and molten warning that once again reminded Prince Theon to turn around and run away, "So when I ask you a question, you do not waste a second of my time,"
And that was when Theon understood how stupid and useless everything was so far. He thought that was maybe why Raziah never gave him any attention the period of time she was here, or even anyone else. Naria was one of the kingdoms generally populated with only humans, and he has this strong feeling that Raziah might have Preferred, all this while, to stay with the supernatural community instead. And he confirmed that thought when he heard she had chosen The King of Erandell, known to be one of the most powerful, to wed and be her husband.
Theon finds himself contemplating day and night because it’s obvious there’s a major difference between himself and his Majesty. He knew how much he had loved her for ten years, and how he yearned her to be the woman to stand by his side for the rest of his life. The more he thought about it, the more confused he got about how a woman like her would choose chaos which was the supernatural community, Instead of human peace. He’s never really known how her brain worked because she’s always had that cold look covering every other emotion in her eyes.
And eventually...that confusion nurtured into anger.
He began to loathe her and everything around them.
He hated how she abandoned him. He hated how she always behaved like he wasn’t there for ten years. He hated that all this while she never once saw him man enough for her, and went ahead to choose another person that could prove to be dangerous.
And eventually, he found himself turning slowly and slowly, into a Maniac. A Maniac that found himself insufficient as a human, a Maniac that thought maybe if he changed his nature and became like what Raziah so desired, then he would be able to get the Princess back from the King and have her all for himself because he wasn’t ready to let her go.
He wanted to teach her a bitter lesson for neglecting and getting married without letting him know. And that was when... someone came to him.
But even after everything, as he stands before Aragon Odysseus of Erandell, he has already digested the fact that the man had the presence of a god and the eyes of the devil. And that is something impossible.
Aragon narrowed his eyes at the Prince. There was nothing stopping him from taking action on the matter right now, but he had to keep holding back because he was his wife’s brother-even though somehow, that thought didn’t sit well with him. There were too many suspicions going on behind Raziah and the palace entirely.
But upon everything, Theon would make sure at least one of his wishes come true. All in all, he would still tell on the princess to her husband, "What do you think about this Fake family we’ve formed?" Theon asked. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Aragon didn’t say anything.
"You ask me what I’ve done with myself, but have you asked your own wife what she’s been doing with her life?"
If there was deadliness glooming in his ominous figure, an indescribable amount of dark energy suddenly emitted out of his body that had the prince jolting back to see refuge, "Don’t ever show your face in front of me, ever again!" Aragon roared at him, and Theon immediately took off running. His whole body was vibrating with thick fear due to that unnatural display of power that rocked him to the core. It’s Crazy how everything seemed to be backfiring against him even before he could dive deep into it.
Aragon’s fists clenched till claws grew out of his nails and dug into his skin, blood sipping out of his skin. He looked like he had been possessed by the god of anger as his brows were creased so badly, and he suddenly felt like snapping everything he came across into two.
And now they were all seated at the dining table, and Prince Theon had grown wings to show his face in front of Aragon again. As Aragon watched the family closely and especially his wife who was now gobbling down the vegetables set out in front of her.
He turned to Theon again, arching a brow in his direction, "How dare you try to unwrap my present for me?" Aragon hummed in that dangerously low whisper, and he knew his wife almost choked up with those words alone.
Everywhere grew awkwardly silent again, with the engulfing overweighting quietness. Raziah had managed to hold back her throat from splurging out everything it had taken in. Once she was done, she suddenly stood up without a word and walked over to Aragon’s side of the table. He turned to her with questioning eyes, wondering what she was up to when she reached in and pressed a kiss on both eyes, "Darling, why aren’t you eating?" She cupped both cheeks, gazing into his Eyes.
