Chapter 111: Bitter Heart Ache.

Aragon was dumbstruck. The second she pressed those kisses to the skin of his eyes, every ounce of anger evaporated from his body, leaving him defenseless to her confusing attacks. As she cupped her face and they stared into each other’s eyes, she asked sweetly, "Honey, why aren’t you eating?"

He could see her trying to force out a smile with the way her lips were now aggressively twitching, but it just wasn’t working out for her. Raziah caressed his cheeks softly, feeling to roughness and tingles of the beard that was now growing out of his face. On the outside, both of them knew all this was just to display some bit of affection, and she also wanted to take all of their attention from Theon and Aragon.

Raziah has never seen him eat in the first place, and of course, no one else was actually expecting him to take in something. She didn’t even know why she called him a lovely name and used those choices of words.

"Of course, my love." Aragon flashed her a sweet yet dubious smile that had her thinking twice again. He reached out and pulled her plates of food towards him, grabbed her by the waist, and made her sit on his lap before scooping up a fork-filled food and brought it close to her lips, "But you’re far hungrier than I am. Now let me feed you."

The swift movement of him bringing her to his legs had her hands swinging onto his shoulders, and now her face was barely away from hers. The closeness triggered the memories of their last encounter with each other’s lips, and her eyes were already darting down to his full red lips before she could even register what she was doing. When his smile turned into a devious grin, she knew she had been caught and quickly turned away from him.

"I’m waiting..." He drawled smoothly, gently shaking the food he was holding suspended in his hands. Raziah stared at it for two seconds, feeling awkward and uneasy to be collecting food from him again. This wasn’t the first time he was feeding her, and they both knew it but...the thought just didn’t sit well with her so she tried to take the fork away from him.

"You wanna act like a good couple, then open your mouth," He whispered sharply and incredibly fast against her ears. Raziah’s toes curled as she parted her lips and let him feed her. Once she was biting down on the food softly, she watched him scoop up another fork of food...and bring it to his own mouth.

She couldn’t believe her eyes as he gobbled it up, and her lips almost fell in awe. Reasoning why he was eating in the first place was just off because she doesn’t know what he is in the first place. And as luck would have it, they spent the rest of the night like that. The air was peaceful, and the princes didn’t try to bring up any fake acts about the family because they were only making it more obvious to the King of Erandell. Right before dinner ended, Octavius and Aragon had taken up another conversation so much that everyone had to excuse themselves and head back to their various activities, except of course Raziah whom Aragon wouldn’t let out of his lap. It was getting more and more uncomfortable by the second because she now knew she had been sitting directly on his member, and she could feel it growing and throbbing under her.

Raziah was inside her room when Her husband walked in. She had escaped from his clutches by asking to use the bathroom while he was still talking with King Octavius. She needn’t turn around to even confirm if he was the one that walked in because it was definitely his presence she could feel behind her. Raziah just sat down on a chair by the side, staring out the window where the moonlight was gently falling into.

"For how long are we going to continue like this?" His deep voice filled the room.

"I thought I was trying my best as someone who loves you," She replied without facing him. His questions were really annoying her because if there was someone who kept playing with her and driving her into unfortunate and unexpected situations, it would be him. She did say she was gonna love him the other night, but how do you love someone you hate?

"I’m well aware of how much you hate me."

"Alright," she said flatly.

"And how badly you want to get rid of me," He added, and she only nodded uncaringly. She was busy asking herself if he would spend the night here, or he would be ushered to his own room.

"I want to go to bed." She started climbing up the bed when he grabbed her legs, making her stop. And the next thing she knew, he had pulled her into a deep hug. She just stayed there unmoving as he held her close, running his hands through every inch of her hair. Her breathing was uneven, and was getting worse the longer he held her because she just couldn’t bring herself to accept he was holding her, and was still battling with herself and trying to pull out of his hold.

"I knew you were gonna become my kryptonite, but I didn’t realize I would lose myself along the way,"

Raziah almost laughed hysterically at his words. His weakness? Why the hell was she his weakness? She didn’t wanna be anyone’s weakness or even mean anything to him! Ending this marriage was one of her greatest priorities, and she doesn’t have the time to spare for his feelings on her own Accord. She’s doing it all for another person, and that’s the only reason she’s still here. That’s the reason she hasn’t rebelled against him and turned into the absolute worst person he could ever imagine.

"I should be long gone by now," And then he laughed, and tightened his hold around her. That laughter was one accursed with mystery and pain, but she couldn’t imagine what was going on in his mind, "But it’s hard to leave when you’re still here. If I go, I’ll lose you,"

She was gonna tell him that he would lose her either way, but she chose to be quiet about it. It was not everyday he talks like this to her, and she was curious to know more about him and what he was.

"Pathetic, aren’t I? Loving only the ones that hate me."

Something must have struck her hard with those words that immediately had her trying to push him away from her. Her hands were on his chest, using all her strength to pull away from him before he uttered more words that makes her bitter heart ache for him. She was curious to know, but if these were the kind of words leaving his mouth then she didn’t want to know anymore. She would find another way to know.

"Let go of me, Aragon!" She fought hard against him but was instantly squished into his chest again.

"Can’t you listen to me...for once? Why do you always like to make things bad between us?" He asked

"Because we are bad for each other. I never asked you to love or live for me!"

"So if I die, it would be your utmost pleasure?" He caught both her hands and pressed them down on the bed.

"Do I really need to say yes before you know the answer to that question?" Now she was ready to fight him to get out of his hold. The man was clearly being emotional to her, and she didn’t want his emotions being poured out on her. All those are Gwenore’s duties to him, and he has her now so why does he keeps coming to her?!

She hated it so much.

Raziah then made to stand up with her legs alone, but the weight he was adding on her back had her rooted to the spot that she couldn’t think of anything again but to bite him hard. His neck was right there, but she didn’t want to bite and end up turning things into a different situation.

"Please...Let go of me." He uttered lowly, his crusty voice turning so frail it threatened to wreck the defenses of her heart. And who exactly was pinning down the other?!

"How vile of you!" She spat out, getting angrier.

"You’ll never understand, Hazel," He gently shook his head at her, and let go of her hands. But that rising anger didn’t burst forth out of her. Instead, she could only sit there and stare at his retreating back as he turned around and started climbing down the bed. Raziah’s body trembled badly, and she fought the Burning and piercing ache prickling her skin, watching his back.

Why wasn’t she happy he had let go of her? Why is there something pounding against her chest bitterly?! Is she running mad?

So maddeningly that she could see her fingers reaching out to hold him back. It was her own body, and yet she couldn’t stop it from trying to keep him from leaving. She was so glad he had his back to her, or else he would have seen how terribly stupid and vulnerable she looked right now.

And her fingers only grazed the back of his attire, and he had already walked out of the room with her hands still suspended in the air, her head looking down and eyes wide with something she couldn’t believe was happening to her.
