Chapter 115: A Crack in the air.

Edited, enjoy ~

Acacia didn’t feel like introducing the Princess to the idiot standing beside her, and neither did she want to visit the place they were headed now. But she couldn’t disobey the king’s order, so she had to suck in a deep breath and do the Introductions before they leave. Raziah was now standing beside ber, just staring uncaringly at something in a distance. While to her right where the idiot stood, he had a clumsy smile on his life that she felt like peeling off slowly till his face was covered in blood.

"Your highness, This is the person who will be escorting us there. His name is Oreo, he may seem...Absurd and uneasy to be around, but he’s a good escort. His Majesty chose him as the third person,"

Raziah only nodded lightly without even looking away from whatever she was staring at, while Acacia turned back to Oreo whose eyes were now trailing over to Raziah, wondering who the woman was that could perfectly pretend something as unique as he wasn’t there. Acacia snapped her fingers in front of his annoying face to bring his attention back to her, and Introduced the woman beside her to him, "This is His Majesty’s first wife, Princess Raziah Of Naria,"

"You mean the one and only...?" His eyes shot up in surprise, and now he was dying for Raziah to turn her head to him so he could see her clearly.

It had come to his notice that someone, during the Royal event at the kingdom of Erandell, had stood toe to toe, a woman for that matter, with Aragon Odysseus and clashed with his face to face. It was extremely hard to believe at first, but the more he had thought about it, he knew no one would have the audacity to come up with such an expensive joke if it wasn’t true.

"Oh shut up and stand close so I can take us there already," Acacia rolled her eyes, immediately regretting when Oreo immediately jumped at the opportunity and pressed his shoulders against hers, a cunning look on his face which had the sorceress’s eyes blazing, and she gave him a hard blow straight to the chest. Oreo groaned and retracted his body from her body. Acacia chose to shut her ears after that and concentrate on her spell which might take a slightly longer time than the others. She didn’t realize the nervousness was getting to her till she stammered a little while muttering the spell, and had to brace herself for the new destination they found themselves.

The three of them suddenly stood somewhere along the wood. One stare and Raziah saw that there was no one around them at all. She could hardly make out any noise apart from the little critters jumping around. Also, after her confrontation and what happened to her last time she was in the forest, it now creeped her out a little. Plus, Raziah was a little curious to know this ’destination’ of theirs that everyone has been keeping away from.

"Aren’t we a little far around from the Amethyst forest?" Oreo was the first to speak, which had Acacia snapping her head towards him, a cold look running through her eyes. She had already warned the man not to question her decisions before Raziah had shown up, but he just had to open his mouth.

Hearing the words ’ Amethyst Forest’, Raziah’s eyes also flew to the both of them. Now you could actually see a bit of curiosity in her eyes, but there was this deadpan glare that rode underneath her hazel globes as if saying no matter how curious she gets, the word only sounded like something out of the ordinary and that simply annoys the living daylights out of her.

"Well, that’s one of the reasons why you’re here!" Acacia gritted out through clenched teeth, " You’ll lead the way from here on out,"

Oreo gasped when she said that, "Oh no, don’t tell me you were banned and that’s why you needed my help for..." And this time she didn’t hesitate in landing a blow straight to his chest again. He groaned badly again, and the pain that reflected in his eyes was much more than the last one which said she had hit him much harder this time. Raziah also saw a small tint of red on his lips, and simply took her eyes away from what didn’t concern her.

"Walk ahead of us," Acacia mumbled angrily, and in a few minutes’ time, Oreo was in front while the two women were walking behind him. Raziah noticed the way the abnormally-eyed man just glanced at everything they walked past gingerly, something bouncing in his walking steps. Most especially though, he kept looking back between her and Acacia and would always receive a glare from Acacia for doing so. Raziah had never heard of a vampire or witch with eye colors that were different from each other which had her weighing her options again about whether he was a witch or vampire. They hadn’t told her their destination before and she was just hearing about the place called the enchanting forest and wondered what lay waiting there. She knew she wouldn’t like it either way, but what really shocked her was that she wasn’t speaking up about not wanting to go regardless of whether it was her husband that asked her to go with him.

Anything that seemed out of the ordinary only added to her discomfort and she was supposed to have tossed her curiosity out of the way and made it clear that would like to go back to Erandell at once, or better still, the kingdom of Naria. Yet, her legs were still going. Not many words were said, and Raziah was glad for that. She did make sure to keep tabs on the road and recognize some places just Incase something happens and she has to return to that first spot on her own. Though Acacia had brought them there with her spell, so Raziah didn’t know what she should do after she gets back there.

"Here we are," Oreo announced to both women, and stopped walking. Raziah’s eyes darted here and there, wondering what was so enchanting or different about that part of the forest. It took her a few more seconds to realize there was this warm feeling coming from right in front of Oreo, and she was already standing in front of Oreo the next second. Nothing was in front of her apart from the regular trees, bushes, dried leaves, and twigs which had her tilting her head to one side as she extended her hands forward, like she was expecting her body to feel something invisible standing there. Her hands were suspended in mid-air, and even though every hair in her body was pointing at that particular area of the forest, she could feel nothing on her skin. Not wanting to overdo or cross boundaries in front of the ones beside her, she gently stepped back so they could continue from where they stopped.

Oreo had this Insane impressive look in his eyes, shimmering as he stared at Acacia with the question dancing about the tip of his lips while Acacia had also been taken aback by the little display of the Princess who had clearly shown them that there might just be something there...which wasn’t impossible.

"Did...you feel anything?" Oreo asked Raziah, who only shook her head at him.

When he turned back to face his front, his face had changed From that cheeky grin that had been stuck to his face right from the start to a different version of himself. His colored eyes glowed slightly into more of their respective colors, and Raziah could now hear him muttering something under his breath, similar to the language Acacia always had going right before they would disappear somewhere else... though this one seemed a little different.

"If you need to draw power from me too, just raise your hands." Acacia stepped closer to him, looking a little worried when Oreo began turning pale. It was almost unnoticeable, but whatever he was saying now had the earth beneath them trembling softly, getting more shakier as if something was gonna blow once it gets to the limit. Raziah was also on her toes, looking around in alert while beads of sweat were now running down Oreo’s head, looking like he was gonna pass out soon.

"Is he trying to block you out?" Acacia came closer and placed her hand on Oreo’s shoulders. As soon as she did, he took a very deep breath of relief and the earth calmed down along with him. But Acacia now had an annoyed look on her face, "Really? You were gonna do that far just to keep us out? You really think I would come here because I want to?!" She was half yelling at nothing in particular, looking genuinely angry at whoever or whatever she was referring to.

Raziah was plain confused. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Then, what looked like surprise had her eyes widening when she saw something like a small crack forming in the air, around the place she had been feeling the warmness coming from. The crack grew bigger and bigger, and degraded into dust, forming something that looked like a broken door that had been torn out of its hinges. It was something out of her imagination relating how it had suddenly formed, like a big hole in the wall... but this one was something formed out of thin air.

Raziah’s shock was tripled when she noticed the different scenery that lay waiting inside...the Amethyst forest.
