Chapter 116: The Amethyst forest.

Lined in rows with a path filled with dried leaves all over the floor with the most breathtaking trees. They looked like palm trees lined up perfectly into rows and columns, but the leaves of the trees were almost purple in color. The sun had already gone down, and Raziah couldn’t tell where exactly a soft amethyst color of light was coming from, its rays bringing out the colors of the palm leaves even more. Everywhere beginning from the suspended door and down the open path was filled with dried purple leaves as Raziah gazed around in total awe, still finding it hard to believe her eyes.

The place was purely magical, intriguing her so much that she didn’t realize Acacia and Oreo had already walked in.

She was frozen on the spot, eyes shimmering with wonder, the reflection of the beautiful pathway all over her hazel eyes. Curiosity kicked in harder than before, which made her walk in to catch an even greater feeling. That warmness she had felt had only been oozing out of the doorway itself, and the inside she had now walked into was just something... extraordinary.

The air wasn’t warm, hot, or cold. It was just pleasant to the feel, like a new and refreshingly calm energy coursing through her veins as she took in a deep breath. Raziah didn’t hear anything about the crack-air door behind them closing, but she turned around in time just to catch it forming back to the way it was, and the suspended door came back together, forming that tiny crack it did from the beginning before disappearing completely.

As it did, Raziah’s jaw dropped further down because now she was actually seeing this much clearer. All around them, including the road the door had appeared, was filled with lines of palm enchanting trees, and Raziah would agree that she maybe had been sucked into a book. It wasn’t what she was expecting at all! She just couldn’t believe how it was possible, and maybe if they were now in a different world.

"Oh for crying out loud!" Acacia grumbled again, and smacked Oreo on the forehead hard. It had Raziah recalling she wasn’t alone and whipped around to face them again. That was when she noticed Oreo was still looking pale, and was now leaning on Acacia for support because he couldn’t walk well. He had his hands tightly around her waist, and his head was resting on hers while she pulled him along down that direction through the path between the trees.

Raziah was right behind them, often glancing around unable to keep the shock and admiration out of her eyes. The place was truly something to behold, and never had she seen such unique trees before in her life.

"I would curse you, Oreo!" Acacia yelled once again, looking like she was right about to chew his head off.

A few dried leaves kept on falling from the trees, and one landed on Raziah’s outstretched hands. She felt the hardness that came with its uniqueness, quite heavier than regular leaves which made her think further about how sturdy and thick the stem would be to be able to hold the weight of multiple leaves like this growing from its branches.

The night sky was filled with twinkling stars, and it just looked like some fairytale story she still couldn’t wrap her head around.

And the thought in her head just got a lot bigger because they had just gotten to the end of the walk, and Raziah was stunned once again at the sight. It felt like they were standing atop a small hill, beneath a view like she’s never seen before. It was extremely big that she couldn’t see the ending, but she could tell the small houses built at several parts of the lower end of the hill were villages. It was like a huge canyon with Several houses grouped together, roads connecting and leading to each other with sandstone fences blocking one village from another. The houses didn’t look like the normal ones she was used to seeing, like there was this significant improvement in the materials used to build them, and they were of different colors and shapes.

Plus, those beautiful trees still grew around some houses and villages. It had a breathtaking view that almost made her sigh softly in bliss, but nothing could make her relax now that her gut was telling her it wasn’t humans that resided there. The magical door alone that appeared out of thin alone was enough to make her know that, and the crawling feeling she was getting was slightly different from the one she felt whenever she was around Vampires.

"Oh, you’re here..."

Acacia’s soft grumble had Raziah looking to her side, where the noticed the people she had came here with staring to their right which had her looking that direction too.

Three people, two men, and a woman approached them with calm footsteps, but their eyes didn’t hold anything welcoming in them. Even their dressing, the material of their clothing looked thicker and much more expensive than that of commoners.

One of the men stood out particularly amongst the three of them, having the lightest cerulean eyes Raziah has ever seen on anyone. He was putting on a cloak over his head, covering his hair beneath it and so did the rest. His eyes held the most displeasure and spite among them, and he had his eyes glued to Acacia’s.

"Get out!" His brusque tone voiced out deeply as the both of them glared at each other, hard.

"Get out!" Acacia didn’t look even the slightest intimidation by his words as she repeated his words with mockery, tilting her head to the side as she mimicked him.

"Don’t make me chase you out with something other than my voice," He threatened, taking a step towards her.

"You wanna fight here? Don’t think being gone for a few years had lit off the fire in me. You’ll only be putting everyone down there in danger if you decide to do things the hard way," she fired back retortively.

"You will leave!!" He exclaimed loudly.

"Like I want to be here!" She threw her hands in the air angrily, and Oreo fell to the ground with a slight thud. No one minded him at all, and he only groaned and stared back up grumpily at Acacia who wasn’t done with what she had to say, "I have a very serious matter on ground and was sent here. And it could affect us very badly if we do not take care of it as soon as we all can!" Acacia sounded more serious than even when she was threatening Oreo earlier, and Raziah couldn’t see the look in her eyes because she was standing in front of her.

But the man with gorgeous eyes of different colors now had a deadpan look on his face, not giving out the slightest bit of emotion that pointed to what was on his mind.

"I don’t know what you’ve brought today, and it looks like it hasn’t been bounded at all. I’ll take the three of you as prisoners for now. Your movements are very limited here!" It felt as if he was referring more to Acacia than Raziah herself who was coming there for the first time.

"Prisoners?! Are you kidding me?!" She was fuming now.

"You heard me right!" He shot a cold glare at her and gave a slight nod of his head. The people beside him made their way toward the unwanted guest, extending their hands quite curtly while pointing to the direction they were headed. Acacia helped Oreo up once again and the three of them walked in the middle as they headed somewhere, and soon enough they found themselves inside a small house that had only a big table sitting in the middle.

The crawling feeling of unease tripled the moment Raziah walked in, and realized she couldn’t move any part of her body again. Maybe she should have run away while she still had the chance because it seems she was the only one caught in this trap as the rest of them, including Acacia and Oreo, turned around to look at her. It’s like her blood had turned to stone, weighing her down completely.

"Are you Insane?! Release her immediately! She is his Majesty’s wife." Acacia gritted out venomously, stalking off to meet her the leader of the small group while letting go of oreo again who stumbled to the floor with a groan again

"You brought an unknown in here, loose and free. Did you expect the crown witch to just sit and watch?!" He fired back at her as they met in the middle of their strides, eye to eye.

"Bellerus, this is my warning to you. You think I wouldn’t have done that myself if I knew she would be a threat?!"

"I do not know what she is capable of, so stop it! You should have known this would happen when you decided to bring her in here!"

"Have you always been this insane? I knew you lost your trust in me completely when I left the forest, but the spite in your eyes has gone too far!"

"And it’s only shown to those I deem unworthy to be in here! You made your decision when you left me here to do all the work! You made your decision Acacia, and I’m making mine now. You cannot stop me!" Bellerus, the Crown witch, leader of the amethyst forest, and all witches alive, grounded out!
