Chapter 121: Out of control.

There was so much anticipation in everyone’s eyes as they stared heavily at the silver book to show them the long-awaited answer, especially Acacia who had come all the way just for this. Bellerus was also extremely curious to know what they were dealing with, and he didn’t even realize he was holding his breath too.

Everywhere had gone so quiet except for the magical sounds of heavy waves from the small lake. It felt like even a simple swallow would be heard by anyone of them, and gradually, seconds turned into minutes.

On a normal day, the answer would have already been shown in less than twenty seconds, and now bellerus couldn’t count how many times things related to the Golden-haired mysterious woman had shaken him to the core since she arrived at the forest. He had watched their arrival outside the forest from this same cave, and just knew she might turn out to be trouble when she was able to sense the door into the witch forest right in front of her and the others, even though she didn’t know how to open it.

It was like a single noise apart from the lake’s might break everyone’s concentration, so no words were spoken.

And then, the silver book began flipping around even harder. Its pages flipped and flipped and flipped, and a simultaneous deterioration of the dark purplish light that was connecting Raziah to the book grew till it became very bright. All that was happening was the first time for the Crown witch, but the almost blinding light was able to trigger one of the memories of the former Crown witches.

His cerulean eyes glowed softly, and a few blurry images played inside his head. There were a few noises in the background, but he could see Harlow, one of the former Crown witches speaking to someone in the background and standing in the same spot he was.

There was someone lying in the same boat too, and the light was also connecting her to the silver book that also seemed to be flipping its pages out of control...

Acacia’s eyes glanced at her brother beside her, and she could see that the look in his eyes wasn’t confusing anymore. He was definitely seeing something that could help them, and the way his jaw was currently working told her he might have found something out...and it was most likely not something good.

Suddenly, the silver book began to spark due to the collision of the magical spells around the book. Both of them were snapped out of their trance as it sparked again, flipping till the whole book turned into a full rotating circle...and the sparks became even more intense with glowing spell elements shooting from every side like shards of purplish burnt coal.

It was going out of control.

Acacia and bellerus quickly backed down, flabbergasted at how things had gone south. It had to be the first time it was happening because bellerus looked like someone who was about to pull all of his hair out. And in a few seconds, the sparks and blinding light began to diminish and the coals of spell elements all around the floor faded into nothing, while the silver book finally reduced gradually till it stopped flipping and came to a complete halt... With no answer whatsoever.

They both looked so stricken like they were just new to the world and had seen what people their age should never see in life. Both of them were crouched down, still riding out of the aftermath of that smacking experience that had turned their thoughts upside down, and now they fought to bring their heads straight again.

"You’ve got to be kidding..." A feminine voice whispered from the boat, and the both of them weakly glanced to see that Raziah was now wide awake. Looks like the noise from the loud sparks had woken her up, and it was just incomprehensible, humorous, and Crazy because she had just uttered exactly what was in everyone’s mind. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

She turned to the both of them, wondering why they were looking at her like that. She wanted to ask what happened, and why everything around her looked ridiculously beautiful and silver. Most importantly, she wanted to know why exactly she was lying inside a boat, and why the Air had this burnt smell wafting in it.

But she was too weak to do anything. Unlike before when she had broken out of the spell that felt like rocks had been used to replace her blood, this time the pounding in her head was much more harder than before that her vision was already getting so blurry around her, and her body was so heavy that everything was just numb.

If she hadn’t been feeling that way, the goosebumps alone would have had her jumping out of the boat the second she opened her eyes but it was just too heavy for her to handle. Trying to break out of the pain might take her life along this time, so she sought the easier way and fell asleep again.

"What in the name of...!" Bellerus felt weak to the bones, "What is...What did you bring with you into this forest?!" He managed to look at his sister whose jaw had dropped a long time ago.

"I should be asking you that..." Acacia managed to take her first breath since the silver book started spinning. She filled her air with lungs to give her enough strength to carry on with her words, "What did we find?"

"What did we find?!" Bellerus’s eyes were now twitching in a level of frustration he’s never felt before, "You’re asking me that when one finding almost...! Didn’t you see what just happened? Are you Crazy?!" He looked so torn.

"But you..." she eyed him suspiciously, "You saw something earlier, I know you did!"

"I know you did!" He mimicked her mockingly, then made to stand up to his feet, "That is not what...,"

A scraping sound had both of them pausing, and their eyes widened even before they stealthily turned to the silver book that had opened one of its pages unknowingly during their argument...and something was appearing on the heading of the open page facing them.
