With a snap of his fingers, the canoe ride came to a halt midway and the both of them crouched down beside the canoe to get a better look at the wristband. Bellerus noted how incredibly tight it was around her wrist so much that the lines that it formed were so deeply embedded into her skin, and had this pale white color around it. The blue band itself now had this soft glow around it, and it looked particularly old for something a Princess should still possess.
It was quite odd because as the Crown witch, he should have been able to point out what it meant even at the very least. At least it should have struck a fair meaning to him because he didn’t just have his studies and powers in his head, but he also had the memories and teachings of the former Crown witches that came before him, and if there was something related to a glowing wristband or piece of clothing item in their memories he should have been able to see it immediately, but there was nothing coming to his head.
That was when he understood that he might be dealing with something that was either too powerful to break through, or even worse than that.
"Anything?" Acacia glanced at her brother whose brows were creased in deep thought, and the confusion that filled his eyes was enough to let her know that he couldn’t come up with anything concerning the matter which baffled her even more. But she still kept her hopes up at least, maybe...they would be able to get anything out of all this.
Bellerus needed to take extra measures. Touching the canoe during the process of traveling through the lake would greatly interrupt the process, but as it seems to be going, he might have no choice but to touch it. Being the crown witch came with its downfalls and privileges, and one of those was that he can touch the canoe or whoever was inside of it without greatly straying the spell working on the person lying in the canoe, but it was to be extremely brief and swift.
Seeing that he had no other choice than to do so, Bellerus reached out to have a feel of the wristband around her arm. His eyes could see that it looked hundreds of years old piece of item, which rattled him again. The only explanation was if it had been passed down to her, or she picked it up from somewhere. Nonetheless, he needed to feel the band even if it was for a second and it would at least trigger a lost memory in one of the former Crown witches inside his head.
Suddenly, Raziah’s other arm reached out toward his own incoming one that was just about to touch her band, and smacked it away toward the other direction, earning a gasp from Acacia. Bellerus was frozen in his spot once again, still feeling the light pain of having his knuckles hit aside harshly with such strength coming from her. But the most shocking part of it all was that Raziah was still deep asleep, and it was her subconsciousness that had taken over.
Bellerus couldn’t help but turn to his sister with wide shaky eyes filled with wonder, and Acacia returned the bewildered look.
"You’re sure she’s unconscious?" The words left the sorceress’s lips before she could control herself. Of course, she knew Raziah was deep in sleep, but she never imagined this would happen. It’s like the woman was always in defensive mode day and night, and can’t let her guard down even for a second. If there’s anything that can make her let her guard down, then that would leave the even more speechless than ever.
Bellerus threw his sister a look with an eye roll at the end, before he started to think of what to do next. He didn’t even want to imagine Raziah’s next line of attack if he tried to touch her again, and he couldn’t cast a spell on her to freeze her body to the spot completely because he would really be interrupting the whole process and disrupting everything. Starting from the beginning of the enchanting lake wasn’t something that could be achieved because that would also be counted as interrupting the process, so they would have to wait till the canoe gets to the end of the ride before starting over.
"At least we should have a result at the end, then we will know," He said to his sister and they both stood up to their feet again as Bell snapped his fingers, and the canoe began moving again. The rest of the walk was oddly quiet because both of them could not be present in one location and be silent...it was almost impossible.
For it to happen, they must have so much on their mind.
There were no other revelations till they got to the end of the canoe ride, where the final answer lay waiting for the crown witch’s attention. Just above where the canoe stopped, which was the end of the lake was another striking presence inside the silver cave of the Crown witch.
It was a huge book, that had no cover but so many pages flipping around itself and standing upright. It was suspended in mid-Air with nothing holding it, and looked identical to the eternal book Acacia had back at Erandell, but this one was much bigger and its pages were purple. Its essence was pure with no lies, and its power and revelations were far greater than even what the Vampire prophetess can ever see. And there was only one of it in the world which belonged to the amethyst forest, one which the First Crown witch sacrificed her life to make to help the future witches that are yet to come. It was called the ’ Silver Book ’.
As soon as the canoe came to a halt, a certain dark purplish glow pulsed out of Raziah’s chest and passed into the middle of the silver book...and immediately the pages began flipping even faster than before while Acacia and bellerus breathlessly awaited the answers that were about to unfold.
