Raziah pouted like a child, hating that she was being forced to do this. Malcolm had been on her tail ever since Aragon announced that he had divorced her, demanding an explanation as to what might have gone down between them and how she can fix it. Malcolm was so adamant on the matter, and she hasn’t had a second of quiet and rest ever since she returned. He was behaving like one of those strict siblings who wouldn’t have it any other way but their own and no matter how many times she told him there was nothing she can do about it since it was a Royal Command from the king himself, he had kept on insisting till her ears couldn’t take it anymore.
Malcolm believed that she was the only one that could convince him to take her back, even though Raziah didn’t want to be taken back. Maria had informed her about what Acacia and Tati had done after she had left the throne room. It seems like both women had begged for her to the King, but Aragon had ordered them to be thrown into the dungeons for trying to go against him. It came as one hell of a shock to her, and she had wondered why they would stand up for her when she has never done anything for them.
Raziah sighed inwardly, then knocked on the king’s door. Ever since she knew him, it was the first time she was at his door since they never used his room. According to everyone, no one except the King comes and leaves this place. She could already feel his overflowing presence from inside and also wondered if she should be here. It was way past midnight, a very good time for him to attack her again if he had figured out she was the woman he was after. But if she turned around and head back to her Chambers, Malcolm whom might be waiting around the corner would fill her ears with questions and queries till dawn.
And so, Raziah knocked again this time she said, "It’s Raziah, Your Majesty."
When there was still no reply, she gently turned the doorknob and pushed the door slightly ajar. She was a little surprised to find it already unlocked, and the room was so dark she couldn’t sight a thing. She gave another low knock before she stepped inside, toes curled in anxiety as she closed the door with her back, her hands tightly on the knob Incase anything happened.
"I Know you’re in here," She began softly, "I came here... To talk, " She added after another short minute of silence. She couldn’t quite point out where he was exactly in the darkroom as his aura had filled everywhere, and it was so quiet around her.
"Aragon..." She whispered, and it sounded like calling him by his name had worked because there was a sudden sharp intake of breath to her right, and her feet were headed in that direction immediately, "Aragon... "
"Leave!!" He uttered, making her pause.
"Oh, I will." She continued toward him cautiously, "Once I’m done with what I came here to do, you won’t see my face again."
As she moved closer, her thoughts began to wander about the room. Was the room that big? How come it was so spacious that she hasn’t felt anything like furniture in her path? Or was this room solely empty?
"I can’t quite wrap my head around it. You made me understand several times that I would be in this marriage with you for as long as I live. You promised yourself to get through my thick skull and unravel everything surrounding me. You... said you loved me, so where is all of this suddenly coming from?" Raziah blurted it all in one breath, her heart pounding as she stood somewhere in the room, "You better say something to me. I won’t believe you decided to just change your mind because you couldn’t handle it anymore. I won’t believe any other flimsy excuse, you hear me?!" She spoke even harder, then took long steps toward him till she could feel his presence in front of her.
Aragon sat on the floor, feeling her cold gaze upon his face. Slowly, his eyes moved up and so did his body. Raziah’s eyes moved with his till she was staring up at his tall figure looming right in front of her. His dark eyes fit the color of the room, even darker, so she could only see the white part of it clearly.
"I am a Princess! I have my pride as one, and I will not leave here without an answer. You can stare down at me as hard as you want, you can think you can burn me with your eyes or scare me into leaving. You should know by now all that doesn’t works on me!" She was fuming, angry at everything around her. Was it because the ache she was ignoring was drowning her? Raziah was breathing hard and fast, her nerves thrown into chaos. Her hands had been bawled into fists, while she bit her lips till blood leaked out from the spot she injured.
When he suddenly took a step toward her, she was startled as he had softly bumped his chest into hers and had her taking a step back involuntarily, "You, of all people?!" He questioned hard-heartedly. His tone sounded like it was made of stone, "You...Came to talk?" He asked like it was just incomprehensible to him, "You care to know why I’m giving you the freedom you’ve longed for every second since you got into the carriage with me the night we got married? You?" He suddenly grabbed her hand, and Raziah’s eyes widened when she felt his whole body trembling like he was so close to falling apart, "No, you’re not Raziah. You’re not the woman I know. Leave now, before I make you regret ever meeting me in the first place!" He threatened hungrily, and she could already see shades of red filling the dark part of his eyes. There was desperation in his voice as his hold on her arm tightened, and his body was almost vibrating.
"Looks like we cannot come To an agreement because I’m sure I already told you I’m not leaving without an answer to my question, Aragon." She replied but the words didn’t come out as she had imagined. There was this extreme lump that had formed in her throat, and it took some crazy amount of blinking and courage to keep tears from rolling down. If he was so keen on seeing her leave, why wasn’t he letting go of her arm? Why does it feel like he’s getting weaker with every word he says?
Then, he began pulling her toward the door.
Fighting against his hold was futile, "Don’t you dare! I will keep coming back if you do this! Aragon Odysseus, do not throw me out! Oh, why you...!"
Instantly, she wrapped her free hand around his neck and both legs around his waist. Holding on to him with all her might, she began to press him down with her weight that barely made a difference.
"You’re not getting rid of me that easily. No way am I letting you go. I’ll renew you if I have to!"
Seeing that she was about to kiss him, he quickly turned his head to the other side but Raziah followed his face to the side and grabbed his chin hard to keep his face right there, then made work to press her lips against his when she felt he had pressed his upper and lower lip together, sealing his lips away inwardly.
"I will kiss you, and you’ll give into me. Give into me, Olive. Please... "
