He was Cerzoan Odysseus, a well-known Prince of Erandell. Aletta has always seen herself as one of the background audiences of women begging to have his attention. His beauty was spellbinding, and his qualities were equally attractive and terrifying. Aletta never saw herself in the same league as him. She didn’t think they could ever stand on the same level.
Even dreaming to be with him had been out of the option. His hard eyes always made it difficult to know what he was thinking, and he had already made it clear that their relationship with the outside world was only an act. She didn’t know how he came up with the idea that she would be responsible for his downfall, and she didn’t want it to come to pass.
Her Choice was to leave. Nothing was gonna change her mind.
Now here was the man she had escaped from, telling her that it was no longer one-sided. The kiss alone had ruined her train of thought and her mind was still a little fuzzy from its aftermath. She still couldn’t believe this was happening to her.
When her gown ran down her arms, she sat still without blinking. Her heart was pounding extremely hard, and her whole body was at its toes. Zoan gently caressed her exposed arms, and his warm touch reminded her of what had just happened.
Her face looked like it had been set ablaze, and she quickly made to cover up herself but had been stopped with another mind-blowing kiss. She was naked from the waist up, but all she could think of were his lips on hers.
Placing a palm on the small of her back, he pressed her against him and deepened the kiss. She was breathing very heavily when she felt his lips on her neck, nibbling and biting softly around here and there. He was like a beast getting more and more hungry as seconds went by, and his hand on her back was now roaming about.
She gripped his shirt, whimpering against his onslaught of pleasure running down her veins. She had tried to keep quiet, but his touch had given her body a mind of its own and she was senseless, captivated by his touch and his desire.
A loud moan flew out of her lips when he latched around her cleavage, and she struggled to keep her body in place. A slight brush of his fingers on her breasts and she almost jumped to her feet. She was very sure that the feeling would be overwhelming and she would push him away when he finally goes all in.
As if he could read her mind, he picked her up and backed her against a tree. His heavy eyes made their way to her lips, and he licked the bottom lip she had been biting all this while.
"Brace yourself." He said to her without using his tongue.
The blood he had licked from her lip was still there on his tongue, and he suddenly looked down at her. Aletta’s nerves shot up a hundred times just feeling her gaze on her chest, and she was asking herself questions about her body. Why was he staring so hard? Were they too small for him? Did he not like it? Aletta swallowed, eyes trembling as she waited for him to do something.
"I should have known sooner," he uttered lowly, with an incredibly sexy tone, "I won’t be able to control the pace anymore, so brace yourself." He warned with the deepest voice she’s ever heard from any man, ringing in hers and doing ridiculously high things go her body.
As soon as a nip danced around his tongue inside his mouth, Aletta’s body felt like a torrent of undying pleasure that felt so heavy on her. She cried out shamelessly, her legs tightly held around his waist and her head thrown back. She turned into a moaning mess as he switched between both of them, feeling the other with his palms.
She lost herself completely from there, and a sweet torture flooded her being again when his hands traveled along her thighs and touched her there. She called out his name several times as he tamed her body, rocked her emotions to the core, and left her gasping and praying she still remembers her name after everything.
He whispered dirty words into her ear as he rubbed himself against her. Their mouths were tangled against each other, and he groaned like a starved beast trying to feel as much as he could without slipping inside.
Their bodies moved like dancers against each other. It was new every time, it felt raw and unreal. The feeling was out of this world and left them hugging like they would never let go.
"May I put it in?" He asked raspily against her ear. As much as she was dying to say yes, she had to hold herself back and decline him. They can’t go that far.
Looking at her face, Aletta’s body had transformed again unknowingly but this time she wasn’t strangling him. He agreed with her decision and took her into his arms. Without another word, he walked up to the tree that was still open.
"Zoan?" She wondered.
"Don’t worry I’m not coming with you." He didn’t look happy, and she knew why, "Can you walk?"
She nodded, "I should be able to,"
He set her down and she managed to catch her legs from wriggling and falling. She looked up at him, but he didn’t look back at her. She knew he was intentionally avoiding her eyes, and she looked away with a heavy heart. Unlike Witches, Fairies are never allowed to leave the underground. She had escaped to explore the outside world, and she would have to face the consequences upon her return.
One thing was clear to her, she might never return.
"I wanted to be the only one with a broken heart. That way, I would be at least glad that I didn’t cause you too much pain." She said while staring at the ground, "I’m sorry you had to be the one that caught me,"
The first time they met while she had been falling from a tree. She had landed around his shoulders, and he didn’t even budge from her weight.
"You really think I didn’t hear you screaming as you fell? You still think I just happened to be standing there as you fell?" He looked at her, then looked away. The pain was unbearable. He wanted to kidnap her and tie her to him forever. He was barely holding back from doing so.
Aletta smiled a little, "I had my doubts," Her heart clenched.
He still wasn’t looking at her. He felt her eyes on him, and then she tipped his chin so he had to look at her. When he did, she feared what she saw in his eyes. He was looking lost. Completely lost. His eyes were becoming empty, except for the pain that filled them up.
His mouth opened and closed, and she fought back the tears.
"Can a human...and a Vampire be together?" She breathed.
He snapped his gaze at her, "That’s...," He thought about it deeply, "I’ve never heard about it...," And then he remembered his father. Amongst his brothers, he was the only one who knew his father had been a hybrid that married and impregnated a human, "There’s a chance." He finished.
"Make your research." She cupped his face, "I’ll be back."
Her eyes had taken a dark turn.
"I’ll be off now." She added and moved away from him.
"Don’t do anything stupid, Aletta. Do not risk anything for this!" He warned as if he could read her mind.
"You see...," She stepped into a tree with a torn smile and tears streaming down her eyes, "I’m cursed. These hands are cursed." She showed him her palms and waved them, "The only way to get rid of it all...is to take the risk. You would do the same for me, wouldn’t you?" She whispered fervently.
Before he could reply the tree snapped shut, leaving him standing there alone in the night.
