Chapter 192: Stand Up and Fight!

BACK TO THE PRESENT ~

His head was very happy occupied with thoughts that were slowly making sense, and he was putting all the pieces into place. His Majesty heard a loud ringing in his ears, weakening him to his knees and dragging all strength from his body till he fell to his knees.

Correlating everything that has happened so far, the puzzle was forming into one big image that was showcasing the truth. The truth that the love of his life, the woman who holds his heart captive and cools down his heat, has the same blood as the other woman that had committed atrocities to him.

He looked up at Raziah, recognizing the resemblance between her and Mirabai. As he did, memories of his past started to haunt him again and he groaned with tears gathering in his pained eyes.

He couldn’t believe this. Even though it was right in front of him, he refused to Believe this. There’s absolutely no way Raziah was that woman’s daughter. There was no way she was that little girl with dark hair whom had absorbed the powerful energy core into her body.

That explained the unnatural cold that defined her. Her body had merged with the core after so many years had passed, and she was in full control of what it could do.

"Get up, You monster," Raziah growled at him softly, with the wristband still around her eyes.

"Hazel...,"

Nothing had ever made her recoil this bad. That name he had given her sounded so displeasing and irritating, and it had her cringing so bad she thought she would puke, "Say that one more time, and your head would be rolling off the floor the very next second. Stand up and fight, Aragon Odysseus!"

A tear ran down his eyes, and he remained on the ground. He had no will to fight. He’s always been a weakling when it came to the ones he loved. He had killed Elliott twice already, and could not bear to raise his hand on another person.

Especially when that person was her.

"No!"

Raziah chuckled dryly, "If you won’t fight, that makes my job very easy. I’ll just end you and everything like you. The world would finally be free of Vampires, witches, and everything else lurking around. My mother may have tried to unite you guys together, but I have no such obligation,"

That was what she had been hiding from him. Those happy moments they had spent together, he had caught the sight of guilt in her eyes and he could feel her hiding something important from him. This was it. This had been her goal all along.

Kaneria had fallen...and now she wanted to have her revenge by killing off every last one of the supernatural kind.

"Whatever you think you’re doing. It’s not right," He replied, feeling her eyes glowing ferociously through the band around her eyes, "I’m the only one responsible for what happened to Kaneria that night. Kill only me,"

Raziah chuckled again, "Oh, really?" She shook her head in mirth, "I’ve seen how you guys live, Aragon. The Vampires feed on humans to survive, and you all are proud from head to toe. You tried to kill me many times. The Witches, even though it’s been ten years since peace was achieved, most of them still live inside the Amethyst Forest and are strictly forbidden to leave. They still live in confinement and fear...and that would probably go on forever. Who knows what crazy powers the unknown ones hold? I will clear the world of your existences and give humans no reason to fear!"

Aragon could not understand how she was thinking. Her train of thought was not aligning properly, and that was because her heart had become a captive of darkness and the exploding thirst for revenge. The disaster she had witnessed had made her see everything in a different way, only taking the bad side of it.

Raziah was blinded by Rage.

"My life is enough for you to take. Do not hurt anyone else!" Aragon warned, "Please. Most of them have done you no harm,"

Raziah burst into laughter, "The same way the people of Kaneria were living in peace and you brought an army out of the blue and turned it into a one-way slaughter, right? The same way I had to watch my father die a horrible death when he did nothing wrong, right? The same way you killed off Malcolm’s father? Or was it...how you tortured my mother till she took her final breath?"

Aragon shook his head fervently, "I was blinded by my past, Raziah. The same thing that’s happening to you right now. And trust me, it won’t end well. You think after doing this it will bring you peace, but it will only make you even more miserable. I lost everything because of my actions that night and I cannot forgive myself. But when I met you, and I loved you, you brought peace to my heart again. I found my old self again being with you, my true self. This past ten years I have lived like a walking dead because I...,"

Raziah was not moved at all, "I don’t want to hear about your past. I don’t give a damn what you cared about or how you’ve lived. Have you forgotten so fast that you’ve been searching for me for the past ten years? You’ve been trying to kill me? Trying to end my mother’s blood? Now that you know it’s me and I’m standing right in front of you, let me see you try and kill me,"

Seconds passed, and Aragon just kept staring at her with soft and pleading eyes.

Raziah had had enough. Aragon knew she moved from where she stood, but when he looked up she was already standing there again. A sharp and deep pain coming from his body had him pausing before he slowly looked down to see his stomach had been sliced open.

And the sliced part was frozen solid, the ice stopping the injury from healing. Even the blood that was supposed to be dripping out had been frozen solid.

The sight...reminded him of Elliott.

That’s right. She was the one who had blasted that power that ended Elliott’s life in an instant.

Raziah watched as Aragon pulled up to his feet, and the softness in his eyes disappeared instantly. Even though there was still so much sorrow in there, she could feel the darkness in his beginning to pour out. Yes, even with the wristband around her eyes she could still see and feel everything as it was happening around her.

Good... Aragon was finally ready to stand up and fight!

"By the way...," Aragon said bluntly, as his nails grew out and turned into the longest and sharpest of claws, "I already talked to Octavius and have taken you back as my wife again. Once this is all over, you’ll be mine forever... Raziah,"
