A loud shrill of pain left the dragon’s throat, and then it was silent.

The silence was deafening. It was heartbreaking. It was unlike any silence that had ever come between them.

Slowly, the dragon’s body grew smaller and smaller till Raziah herself was standing in front of Aragon again. She remained quiet and just looked him in the eye, eyes red for the torture she had put herself through.

"I was once the Villain, Raziah. I did not like how my story ended. I cannot let you do as you please. I had to bring you down. I’m sorry, Forgive me," His heartbroken voice said, dying from the hurt it was going through now, "I love you with everything I am, that is why I did this to you. That is why I had to do this. If you win, Raziah, you’ll become miserable for the rest of your life. You’ll lose yourself, and you’ll have nothing left to do but to carry your heavy soul and heart on your shoulders for the rest of your life. I had lost myself completely, but you brought me back to life. Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. You saved me from my demons... And I’m so sorry this is the only way I can do the same for you,"

Without wasting time, pool of tears descended from her eyes just as he leaned in and kissed her lips. The taste of blood, sadness, and heartbreak mingled between their lips.

Raziah was reminded of what her mother said. The pain was unlike anything she’d felt, and she clutched her chest and fell to her knees. A vicious pain. The reality of things was slamming into her, and she felt a hand wrap around her shoulder and pull her into a hug.

Aragon might have murdered her kingdom, he might have destroyed everything... but he had been swallowed by darkness the same way she had been engulfed by darkness and he had unleashed his fury on the kingdom of the woman partly responsible for the demons that had taken over.

"I...I know...," She whimpered, blood running down the side of her mouth, "She...told me everything, and I could not believe it. She...did all that to you, on purpose. She knew what she was doing all along...," She vomited more blood, "And I refused to Believe her. She admitted what she did to you and I was so so angry. I kept telling myself she was lying and I turned into a beast! A monster! I could not recognize myself. I...had become what I hated the most...," Her voice was cracking, and the pain in her chest was immense

"It’s fine, it’s fine, Raziah. Believe me, we’ll all be fine." He patted her hair lovingly, crying into her neck.

"I’m glad." She smiled softly, "I want nothing more than for you all to be fine. Everyone I care about and everyone I have grown to care about. Tell them I’m sorry for trying to kill them, and I’m sorry for staying away for so long, " Raziah breathed deeply, "Cleoandro...my son...,"

And then she broke down Into more tears.

Aragon was shattered from inside to outside. He had also returned to his human form, and the both of them were kneeling naked on the cold ground holding onto each other. There was no one else.

"I love you, Raziah...I love you beyond words can ever describe. Beyond actions can ever show..., I love you no matter what...!"

She held him tighter and cried loudly, the noise filling the empty and silent place that was once hell. She gripped his skin and pulled as she cried, wishing all this had never happened. She had been blinded by everything, and could not see the bright future if she had just gotten rid of the torment and darkness growing in her heart.

She had loathed herself and everything. She had succumbed to her deepest fears and allowed it to turn her into this.

And now, she had forced the man she loved to make her pay for the consequences.

"I’m so sorry," She sobbed even harder, her face leaking with liquids.

When she looked into his eyes again, her heart could not bear to hold what she saw in there. He was still patting her back and stroking her hair along the way, telling her everything was alright.

When they both knew perfectly that nothing was alright.

Raziah had forced him to do this to her. It must have been a grave and the hardest decision in his life.

More blood fell off her lips, and her eyes were beginning to lose their Color.

"I’m so sorry...!" She cried, "I don’t think I could have stopped if you hadn’t stopped me yourself. I had lost myself and my way, and I had gone insane. Thank you...for choosing the world over me. Thank you for making the right choice. Thank you for loving a sick and heartless woman like me. I’m so sorry it got to this," Every word was ripped out of her chest. It was so hard to speak.

She felt like a monster.

"Ever since Elliott passed away, I promised myself to protect whoever I could," A tear slipped down his handsome and pale face, "I’m the one who should be sorry. I’m sorry for doing this to you. I’m sorry there was no other way to stop you,"

"No, it’s not your fault. I beg of you. Don’t blame yourself. It’s all my fault. I was...I turned into something...I wanted to destroy everything and I was going to do it if you hadn’t stopped me this way. This was the only way to bring me back to my senses, please...!"

Aragon wasn’t listening.

"Look at me, Olive...!" She whimpered in tears.

His sight moved down, between their naked bodies and to the pool of the blood that had formed, pouring from Raziah’s chest, where her heart was.

He looked at his fists buried inside her chest, and the fatal wound that was bound to kill her.

After all, healers... cannot heal themselves.

"I cannot look at you," He whispered with empty eyes, "I...you’re dying, Raziah. And I’m responsible for that,"
