He was terrified. The terrifying view of a life without her. The same thing was happening to him...he was about to lose another precious person in his life.

There was only so much he could take.

"I’m sorry... I’m sorry...," They were words he never got to tell Elliott the night he died, and it was burning his heart, "I can’t save anyone... Raziah," He confessed, crying his heart out, "I could not save anyone I love. Elliott is dead too...he’s gone forever. How can I survive if I lose you too?" Aragon was losing it. He was going out of his mind.

He was the one that was Killing her, but he felt more pain than her.

"Elliott...you mean your brother?" She cupped his face, forcing him to look her in the eye.

Aragon saw the little life that had settled in her eyes leaving slowly, death steadily taking her away from him. Far away from him.

Aragon could not reply. He could say nothing. He never wanted to bring up Elliott but it had slipped out of his tongue. The first time he mentioned Elliott to her back then was when they were alone in his room and he was telling the story about the Odysseus’s brothers being triplets, he didn’t realize Raziah had something to do with Elliott yet

The story hadn’t sunk in completely. He didn’t know Raziah was the same person as that little girl.

But now...now...

"Oh my God," Raziah gasped, trembling as she started to remember who Elliott was to her, "Aragon...oh my Goodness... Elliott...ohh...," She was breaking down, holding her head between her hands as she shuddered badly.

Revenge was a curse to her.

The biggest curse.

She had been so focused on getting revenge, that every beautiful memory she had had been thrown into the dustbin, and eventually she had forgotten all about it.

She had forgotten all about Elliott Odysseus...till now.

"What happened to Elliott? Where is Elliott? You and Cerzoan are alive, what about Elliott? I haven’t seen him. I don’t remember seeing him since I came to your kingdom. Where is he? Tell me...I need to see him, please,"

Now the guilt was really clogging up Aragon’s ability to speak. The lump in his throat was even making it difficult to breathe.

"Aragon, where is he? Where is Elliott?!"

And then, she started to recall the story Aragon had told her about him and his brothers

....I was so focused on myself that I failed to see the torment Elliott was also going through. He was a Prince of one of the strongest kingdoms in the world ruled by Vampires...and he was a witch! He tried to endure the harsh reality that came with it, and we his brothers, the only people he had, didn’t care about that. Zoan did finally get close to him, but I was still trapped in my darkness. I was still trying to keep that part of myself hidden, Maybe if I had opened up to my brothers about it...things would have been different. Instead, I led Elliott to his death. I watched him die, and couldn’t raise a finger. He sacrificed his life for me...

Raziah turned colder. As cold as ice. She went stiff like a dead person, the only thing moving was her trembling eyes that were pouring out so much tears.

Elliott had sacrificed himself for Aragon.

And it was on that night it all happened. That time when a burst of energy had shot out of her chest toward Aragon, Raziah knew somewhere in her head that it had hit someone.

At that time, Aragon would have been dead if it had made impact on him... but he wasn’t. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

And Aragon telling her that night that Elliott had saved him only meant one thing.

If she wasn’t already on the ground, she would have crumbled and scattered into pieces.

The most gruesome cry tore out of her lips, heavy tears streaming down her beautiful sad eyes that looked horrified. She’d never been so scared of herself before, and as Aragon tried to pull her into his arms and reassure her that everything was alright...she could still not settle down.

She screamed and screamed and screamed till there was nothing left of her voice.

One thing was very clear - She had killed Elliott.

Innocent Elliott. Aragon’s brother.

It all made sense now. It made so much more sense. Her vision of herself as a child with Elliott coming to visit her every now and then.

Elliott has always been so selfless, even when the whole world of Vampires were against him because he was born a witch. No matter how much he was taken from, he always gave.

Raziah has always let her emotions and the idea of revenge get the best of her...and it had started that night. She had ended up Killing the one person that has always been on her side from day one.

The man she once loved - Elliott Odysseus.

Aragon finally hugged her tightly, not letting her go as she continued to break down in the crook of his shoulders. Her pain was his pain, and he could feel how loud she was hurting. Even though he had ripped a hole through her chest and through her heart, she could not feel the dying pain but only the remorseful anguish of everything she had done.

She had lived a life of enclosure and Darkness.

What she thought had been the truth about bet mother’s innocence...had all been a lie.

She had been in the wrong. She was the one who was supposed to die that night...and not Elliott.

"Aragon, what have I done? I murdered him, Olive...I killed Elliott and you must have hated me so much for that. Cerzoan must have hated you for that. I caused you so much pain and I was still here planning revenge...! I’m completely evil and I thought I was right. I thought my ways were correct...I was always so selfish...and Elliott is gone...!"

"It was my fault. You only tried to avenge your mother. It’s not your fault, it’s never been your fault. You’ve never had any fault to me, Hazel. Please listen... please calm down...,"

It felt like forever. After so many cries of helplessness and sorrow, she began to calm down slowly. The tears never kept pouring down, but at least she wasn’t trembling as had as before.

"Thank you...for tolerating someone like me." She sniffed, resting on him. He was her safe house.

Even after everything, after all he had gone through, his love had been strong enough to pull him back to his senses, his love for her had been his anchor... but she had lost herself.

She had loved him deeply... but was it enough?

Would it ever be enough? Would she remain a crazed woman whenever she remembers her mother’s death and snaps? Or... would this be the end?

"I never got to ask you this, but that song you sang and danced to the night I married you, where did you learn it from?" Aragon’s interest had been piqued for a long time now.

"My Father wrote it for my mother. It was the magic in their love. Even after I was born, they still sang and danced to its melody and lyrics alone. It was beautiful and saddening to watch them,"

"Hm,"

Her body began to grow warm, "I’ll soon be gone, Olive," she whispered heavily, "What about Evander? What are you going to do about him?"

"He’s lost you, his trump card. I’m guessing he will go into hiding. But I’ll find him, and I’ll lock him up. There are things I need to question him on," Aragon said then took a long look at the frozen place.

Raziah watched his look around his Frozen home with wonder but a pleasant look, "Don’t worry. It should undo itself a few days after I pass away,"

"I’m sorry," Aragon bit his lips, trying to hold back his tears again.

"Don’t be sorry." She replied and pulled back a little to look into his striking blue eyes, "I’m a healer. I’m destined to die before I’m twenty-five, and my birthday is at midnight today. I was going to die anyways...,"

Death was too much of a topic. It was damaging him beyond repair.

"Take care of everyone. Take care of our son," She said softly.

"I’ll find you again. You’ll come back to me. Even if I have to wait for millennials...I will."

She didn’t really understand him, but she didn’t have to. If she could come back to him after death, she would walk through a path of thorns with her bare foot to do so.

This man loves her so much, and she would do anything and everything within and beyond her power to come back to him.

Not even death would successfully tear them apart forever.

A pleasant sigh fell from her mouth, and she placed her head on his shoulder again as her whole body relaxed on his, and the heat from her body increased.

"Hazel," He called after a few minutes had passed.

The silence was the only answer he needed.
