Raziah’s eyes popped wide awake at the sudden invasion. She couldn’t believe upon all her self-control, all her pretense, one simple flick of his finger had been enough to whirl her out of her dream. It was like her whole world had gone into a pause, and she couldn’t even feel the pounding of her heart anymore.
It took her another second to realize she was biting hard on something, and that deep citrus scent had invaded her lungs completely. Her teeth gnawed softly to feel more of the soft texture of whatever she was holding to, and it felt more or less like skin. As it dawned on her that she might actually be biting some part of him, Raziah steadily released her hold on the skin and pulled away slowly, only to find his eyes on her.
The red bite mark was right there around his neck, and blood was now gathering and oozing softly from the deep bite, trickling down his neck. The sharp and loud beat of her heart could now be heard by the both of them, and that moment between them told more than words could ever speak. Raziah would have never imagined herself in a thousand years biting... anyone!
And in the neck for that matter!
If Aragon was a vampire, then it means she’s made a huge mistake.
There’s no better way to seduce a vampire than to bite its neck, and for her to bite him so hard to even cause it to bleed...
God in heavens... His eyes were on her, and they were ravenous!
But it wasn’t the same for hers. Her eyes were pained, reminding him that she was very unwell at the moment. Every sign of his beastly intentions towards her vanished instantly, and before he could settle her head back on his chest, Raziah’s eyes lost their glow and she fell back into subconsciousness. Her head fell on his shoulders, and her body grew even colder against his.
Aragon tucked the locks of hair that had fallen over her face behind her ear. She was Lucky she was the one here with him, she should be Lucky her temperature can lower his just as he wanted, or else he wouldn’t have been this soft with her. If it were any other woman, she wouldn’t last this long with him in this state of mind. When he had seen her walking down the grand stairs with those uninteresting look and cold eyes of hers, he had his doubts at first even though a few things had been barred to his knowledge. So he decided to dance with her and confirm his suspicions.
The intertwining of their fingers alone had brought him the spark he needed. He knew he would be needing her when he comes back to his dark state of mind. When his heart would black out, unable to take the hellfire rampaging In his mind, when he would look in the mirror, and only see the untold parts of his burning soul, when his vision only sights the worse in everything, when the urge is only to massacre everything before him. He knew his control would snap sooner or later, and he needed a cure.
Even if it was temporary.
And that was the main reason he had decided to court her that night. He was also interested in what he had seen that night.
He knew she wasn’t ordinary, and that was what he planned to unravel about her. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The couple stayed that way for the entire night, and his Majesty had ordered them to connect a rubber pipe from outside which they’ll use to add new water whenever it was time to change the water. He would simply pull the plugs, and drain the water and then they would send in the new one through the pipe and fill the bathtub. At three hours, Fabia would come and prepare the medicinal bath water- and inside the bathroom, Aragon would find himself being woken up by the footsteps outside the room.
He didn’t expect to fall asleep every time. He usually lacks sleep whenever he was like this, then it must be because of the effects of her cold.
It was morning already, and the bathroom door was flung open. Aragon emerged naked from the door, carrying her to the bed then covered her up. She hadn’t stirred even once since she had closed her eyes again, and even her temperature hadn’t gone up. She was still as pale as a ghost, and her breathing had been getting shallower throughout the night. He couldn’t let her die because of her use to him, and so instructed Felix who had been guarding the door all night to call the doctor to see her again.
After that, Aragon got dressed and left the room. He had things to attend to, and for starters, he needed to see through something very important. He was heading for that particular room and came across no one on his way as everyone was keeping away from him.
He needn’t knock to let himself into the room, and there stood Acacia and Tati. The room was shaped like a Pentagon with blue moon-colored walls. There were windows above made of the strongest glass available and each corner of the room was having a huge silver mirror overflowing with nothing but white smoke, though it wasn’t giving the room foggy air. There were small stools randomly sitting around the room, filled with stacks of spell books.
Floating right in the middle of a huge book having no cover, only flaps of pages flipping around itself. The pages were so many and dark in color. Tatiana and Acacia stood in front of it waiting for something to happen expectantly as Aragon walked over.
"Report?"
In a few seconds, the pages stopped flipping and a huge red cover suddenly appeared from the back and shut the papers close. Both women sighed tiredly, with Tati throwing her head back frustratingly.
"There was nothing all night. She’s not of any kind or specie. I have described it all, but she doesn’t fit any description or even come close to it. If she really isn’t human, then she might just be the first of her kind." Acacia replied to his question, her eyes holding back nothing.
